Sorry die hard.. you are a true SENIOR classy moderator TVC.You never seem to dissapoint.. keep making fun of Vidor and you will live up to your classy reputation..But no one dare say something about Nerdland or it will get deleted ,and no one will own up to it saying they dont know how it got deleted.. Yep. The Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup and Master's golf championship all rolled up into one event for Vidor. Beat the Bulldogs in football and the rest of the year is a piece of cake. The pirate fans so much want this to be a rivalry game. It is hard to take it that way when only one school sees it as such. Good luck Vidor anyway. One of these years you will make the playoffs again and we are pulling for you. Heck, you've already got three playoff appearances since 1940. You'd better watch out though, Lumberton is hot on your trail. spoken like the true classy moderator that you are..

Not anymore than any other coach that doesn't stay behind the line. Surely you aren't suggesting that there is a coach that stays behind the line. I have yet to see one..

I can only tell you that the times my boys and I have been down there he is just asking them where they are going for dinner after the game. I think I heard him ask a few of them how their families were doing too. ;D you might have misunderstood..He wasn't asking he was "telling" them where they could go, and wasn't asking about the families he was saying when you have a family and you don't have a dad...what is that called?? ;D

I love it when you get home and watch the tailgate party..they are showing highlights from WOS and they always manage to get a clip in there of ol' Dan Ray in one of them officials ear..steadly chewing that gum...

Coop, I've seen you real close to the sideline, Coach Hooks might have to tie a rope on ya. Roy Williams has the horse collar tackle named after him..The new sideline warning is called the "Dan Ray Hooks penalty".. ;D

We had this issue in Pinto this year (OYBS). We were 2 coaches short, found 1 at tryouts. Instead of turning down 12 kids we had a board member draft for the team without a coach. The VP then called all of the parents of that team and scheduled a practice. He then showed up with the gear bag and basically told them "someone has to coach this team" and left. A couple of dads then stepped up. My point is: There are other ways to handle this than just turning kids away. Man it sounds like yall had a very smart VP. There should be more like him! Yeah....but he got beat the last game of the season!!!! You know I had to do that. "Tom" Dallas got beat???? :o :'(

I know this probably wont work and against some type of rule..BUT bring him to Vidor and he will get to play football.there are two junior teams and your son will be able to play football.There's gotta be another way then to turn kids away.

I actually thought this was against some "rule"..I know in Vidor they won't let Vidor people go to the visitor side.

Vidor fans don't even worry about that guys comments.We all knew what happened and thats it..the Vidor parents,coaches and most of all the players represented the GT very well . Everyone from the Gt would have been proud.I dont believe he was there anyways.he is not even saying the chant that they were saying all tournament.obviously he is just trying to wire something up. Go Vidor!!

Yea keep us updated on that TD. We wish them the best!!

I don't know what to say..I am blushing...

In my opinion I think we were in the top two or three hitting teams out there.Our defense wasn't as strong ,but hitting wise we matched up with anyone..

Glad to hear Southlake won..."Ut oh"!! "Don"t ya know" I bet they were a little humbled after that game.....

Just got back from Dallas.. tons of fun and alot of memories..The GT was represented very well. Alot of good baseball and alot of competition. I will say more later, but we sometimes think eachother 's towns get carried away and are bad sports..Think again!!! They made our area look like Saints!! For the pinto they did great they played good teams and did very well.Coach Hal did an OUTSTANDING job along with Coach Clint with the Shetland..I couldn't have asked for two better guys to coach my young one.they were great and I will let my kid play for them anytime.The Vidor support was tremendous..Both teams hung out with one another.. When one played the other team got there early and watched eachother play..When one team was done they would come find the other and root them on.(even if it was midnight)..Great representation from both divisions ..Vidor and the GT was a team and area to beat up there.. Great job Coaches ....I am very proud of the way our fans and coaches handled them selves under alot of intense baseball and rude fans.. Great job Hal and Clint from the "fence crew"!!! they didn't have to do much yelling the fence crew took care of that!! ;D

TChawk , TD is right we will never know what would, have could, or shouldn't have.Bottom line we should have WON Saturday but we didnt . climbing out of the loser bracket has it's disadvantages.Staying in the winners bracket has its rewards.Would I as a coach done anything different..NO!! We had to get there to the Game 2 and we did what we had to do ,bottom line.We ran out of pitchers to compete with a team like Orange. that being said I am still proud of my boys, proud to have coached them and wish ALL the Best to Orange .I know they will represent the GT well..Good luck Orange.

We lost tonight..We had run out of pitching and we had to pitch kids that never hardly pitched before..i am very proud of our kids and they battled all the way. Orange had there aces pitching and all we could do was watch and have our aces palying different positions and one in Florida..Very frustrating.the double header yesterday hurt us.. I will still put my team up against any team out there .the better team one tonight ,but all we could do was sit back and watch. Orange job well done ..Good luck in Houston.. TD remind me to tell you something when I see you ..Two of the coaches were very nice..
