  1. I tried to upload it and it said upload folder was full..I can email it to you and see if you have any better luck.
  2. Good Luck Vidor and Coach Robbie ... I will probably call you sometime soon and try to catch a game in between ours.
  3. Corey, right back at you. We have always enjoyed playing Vidor and Groves. This topic is one of the reasons my son and I are not playing/coaching all-stars this year. It got pretty ugly last year also. Chad
  4. I remember the Pinto problems we had last year in TC. I will say this ,there is alot of good people in TC and I have some friends over there as well. But there was a handful of problems. I was at the game last night and I wouldn't say shocked because I have seen alot, but really dissappointed. There was a earlier post about the kids eating at mazzio's together and just worrying about how to team up and get more tickets. That really about sums it up.These kids just want to play ball and have fun.Win or lose on the way home they are either thinking about what Wii ,or playstation game they are going to play, and or how they can convince there parents if little Johnny from the team can stay the night with them. I agree the umpiring could have been better, but thats just baseball and everyage group has that. I remember last year I coached the Pinto all stars and I met a great group of guys from Orange(TD,and Chad)and Orange's parents. Before every game we would talk, and AFTER we called eachother.Yes they beat us and they had the better team and advanced to the State tournament. Then our Shetland team beat Orange in the finals and advanced to the state tournament..I called up to Dallas everyday and Talked to the Orange's coach and was wishing them the best of luck and rooting them on.They to inturn the same people that got beat in the Shetland division was up in Dallas rooting our Vidor team on and vice versa. That right there folks is class and that is the way to handle youth sports . It was good to hear all the way here at home that both parents and coaches from Vidor and Orange who knocked eachother out of the finals in different divisions were up there cheering and supporting one another. I will say this and then I am done. The more excited the coach gets, the more excited the parents get.The more "professional" and "calm" the coach remains, the more the fans remain calm.Coach you are ultimately responsible for your parents. If you hear a parent hollering at a kid ,and you dont say anything then that means you are approving of it. Good luck to both teams and it should be a good one Friday!
  5. I dont have enough money for my boys to go to camps all summer ,and hire someone to tell them how to throw or hit.I get out with them in the yard along with all the neighborhood kids and throw the ball to them. And I sure in the heck dont remember when I was growing up going to any camp.We stayed our butts outside and found a way to learn. You have to want to learn and quit making excuses .Some of the latin players come from the poorest neighborhoods and poorest countries but yet they find a way to play. Its always about someone not having chances like other kids and thats the answer for everything. Go get a dang glove, find a ball and out of all the kids in the neighborhood someone has to have a baseball bat. If you can find a basketball and a basketball goal, you can find a glove and ball
  6. I would hope Vidor would counter offer what ever they are offering him. One of the reasons it would be hard to leave is because he has done so much ,and built a quality program .
  7. ***************BREAKING NEWS*********************BREAKING NEWS*****************BREAKING NEWS********* PNG WAS JUST ARRIVING BACK AT THE RESERVATION WHEN A LOUD THUMP WAS HEARD ACROSS SOUTHEASTTEXAS....... AUTHORITIES SAID IT IS BELIEVED TO BE HESTER'S HOMERUN BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. well if you go back and read the posts there was mutual respect being given by both towns..then when the umps were blamed, then the news was brought into it, some of us cant let that go..(and i was actually trying to lay low on here and behave..) you know what they say, there's always a few bad Indians in the tribe!!
  9. allright I am back..well indian chief, i saw the highlights like you encouraged me to do..Vidor wins and rightfully deserves to win..Great game Pirates!!
  10. ut oh the sports is on the news now..i better go see and make sure Vidor deserved this win, because indian Chief thinks there is a conspiracy going on over here..be back in a second..
  11. heck we had to play that music tonight just so we wouldnt keep hearing the lady gripe all night... its funny when you win everything is good, but when you lose its the umps, music, lights, too cold, too hot ..
  12. Everytime you people loose it's the umps but not tonight bc them Pirates spanked that booty. 8) Hey 81sDad, Last I checked, beating someone in extra innings by one run with a walkoff homerun is not "spanking the booty." An amazing comeback? Absolutely. If you'd have run ruled them, then hey you're entitled to pop off about spanking the booty. Tonight? Not really. Show some class. Both teams had great games and one had to come off on the losing side. well you might want to tell "indian chief" to do the same about showing class.. dont blame any game on the umps..you had nine innings to put Vidor away but you couldnt..we didint do this much whining when the refs from football stole that touchdown from us this year on the so called holding penalty! Man I thought the Nederland fans were bad, but yall give them a run for there money..and
  13. Roby pitched a heck of a game also..Hester came in and was solid.. Great game by both teams..alot of good defense..the Right fielder for PNG had a heck of a throw to throw Bunner out at Third on a tag up play.
  14. come on man dont act like that..It was a great game for both teams!
  15. Great job Pirates!!! Great game PNG..Congrats Hester what a Hit!!
  16. Congrats L-town. great year ,and congrats on making school history.Coach Credeur has things going his way it seems.
  17. Good job Pirates! Its easy to get excited to play when there are playoff implications. But both teams should be applauded for coming out and playing hard. They never gave up and they played hard to the end.Tough season for both teams .
  18. Congrats dawgs! Pius is huge and quick! When they played Vidor we were wondering the same thing about how many giants could go to one school?
  19. BIGDOG check's into local mental hospital.. The streak has ended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Lumberton: State Troopers shut down hwy.69 in front of Lumberton High School! A Celebration riot broke out after Lumberton advances to playoffs for first time .Students were overturning cars, buses, lighting them on fire ,and running through streets naked with red and baby blue "L" on there chest! Screaming "L-Train" and singing "We are the champions of the world"!! Lumberton S.W.A.T (all 3 of them ) had to be called in to gain control.: No one was reported injured ,although "Maverick24" was pretending to be a football player by stealing one of the freshmen 's jersey running up and down the football field screaming "we did it, we did it" was severely beaten by the Lumberton football team..No word on his condition.
  21. Not everyone is going to agree on what a coach does or doesn't do..But I dont care who you are ,if you turn over the ball 10 times you arent going to win a ball game at any level
  22. This was College football but I thought it might fit in somewhere.Gerogia beat Vanderbilt a few weeks ago and then the Gerogia players started dancing on the Vandy Logo. The Georgia coach Mark Richt ran over and yelling at his players and pushed them off the Vandy logo. Afterwards he stated they dont do that "stuff" at Georgia. now that was after a WIN and after the game.Anything before a game i dont really find nothing too wrong with it.After a game then you need to show class and show your opponent respect. Before that is fair game and whatever the other team does you can use it as motivation.
  23. I believe that you use it as motivation and you tell your team they are disrespecting you.You challenge your team and ask them are you going to let them do that to you and your field? I have seen refs not even let the home team go out and do it ,and I have seen where the refs just sit there and watch!
  24. Ol scooter was just having fun.. Ol Tiger90 is the Robo-moderator!!
