No offense But I hate playing at LCM.Little stands and usually people bring there lawnchairs to sit because there is no room in the stands.we end up on the track.and of course the ol fire enigine sound when the they take the field is annoying..

Well heck we might as well not even show up then ...I think it will be a good test for us. they only have lost 1 game in two years.It will give us good experience and get us ready for district.

I am sure they will try to rely on there running game a little more then they wanted to before.

A good team will respond to these comments. You have to admire his honesty and wanting to make his team better.

"sneak up" ,"snuck up" call it what you want to, but I call it a win!. and as far as Mathews goes I will pick him anytime day over Neumann.Neumann is a good coach but so is Mathews.He teaches them kids life lessons through football. the kids believe in him ,the community does ,and if you arent from here or not a fan I dont give a dang what anyone thinks about Mathews or our program.Especially anyone from Nerdland Mack Brown told his national championship football team in the locker room just minutes after upsetting USC in 05'.His quote was" dont let this be the biggest thing you do in your life". A win is great but take this win with you and learn from it, and take it and use it as a life lesson.

I dont believe Lumberton will win the District, but you will have to come to play to beat them..Just like every week in this district there is no OFF week!

You can keep Neumann.. This is the beginning of a new year and the kids have to believe in the coaching staff.Mathews has them kids believeing in them selves and then the program. So keep neumann and we will keep what we got, and we will see what happens thisyear,,!! ask any pirate player or fan right now and they will tell you they will keep what they got and wouldnt change it for the world!

Vidor has alot more kids then WOS.Vidor was rotating players in after the first qtr.and especially the second half.Wos was doing the same but had less kids to rotate. A couple of Vidor players got hurt, and one played both ways I believe..Hopefully he wil be ok for St.Pius

alot of the plays are sweeps and power plays that setup the "trickery".Basically all it is is a misdirection or some type of trap play .If you dont have the athletes or the skill to go to the spread ,and you have some kids that can run the ball why not run the wing-t?

Vidor has a few good running backs..they have a kid named Theron reynolds who is big and fast..He is a true fullback..there is also another one named Pilsbury.and they have about two or three other ones. I wasnt at the game, but I do know that they have the running backs and they have already said that there going to run the ball right at you.Only thing i can think of about running the same plays and switching alot of kids out is that they wanted to get looks at alot of different people.

I think Ozen is underrated. they simply have too many athletes to not be in the top 3 or 4.It will surprise me if they arent up there this year, but almost certain next year they will be right there along Central and Dayton..Just too many athletes

I am sure there is alot of politics that go on.But Coach barbay has been around for 30 plus years.I really dont think he has to please anyone or try to prove himself. And I dont think anyone is going to quiestion his coaching ability. You dont win state championships by playing the booster club presidents son.you play who you think will give you the best shot at winning.And I believe Coach Barbay is qualified to make those decisions.

I am sure it goes on..But who is to say that your opinion is correct and the coaches is wrong? And why are parents in the stands talking about how bad a kids sucks anyway? Not all the little league coaches that sit in the stands on friday nights know everything they think they know. I use to listen to my Grandpa holler at the TV screen at Tom Landry about Danny White being the QB.I dont think ol' Tom gave a rats butt what my grandpa thought

Well I guess that is good..I believe Mathews will try to control the game by running it and keep the other teams offense off the field.And if you have a strong running game then you will more then likely be able to accomplish that.Dayton will be tough,we hung with Cenral last year ,and the rest we should be right there competing .I appreciate it WOS92.Good luck to yall
