Must be alot of tension over in Lumber Town! : Probally not as much tension as in vidor, since ltrain is 1-0 in district, and vtown is 0-1 as usually what movies you watchin in PA today ?

WOS squeaks by Brookshire Royal..Hooks says "Royal's QB couldnt hear anything due to all the WOS cheerleaders being there" "It was a good game,but something extra was here tonight,alot of noise and seemed to be louder cheering".

The local news paper in Vidor puts out a paper every week. BUT they do not have a website or a link I can credit the news paper for. This is parts of a article that came out today. The Vidorian shopper: In addition to teaching the game Coach Mathews said he and his staff try to teach life lessons to the players. "We try to teach the kids life lessons and things we want to do,and one of the goals I have here at at Vidor is I want to change how people outside of Vidor look at us," he said. Five years ago,Donald Stowers who was their head coach over there (Central) decided we were going to pray together to show kids of different colors it doesn't matter," Mathews said. "We've done it every year but this year I didn't do it. I just forgot about it. Without having to tell them,the kids got together. The Central kids and the Vidor kids showed respect and hugged eachother after we had already shaken hands. They got together,they prayed together and I think that's a great life lesson. Learning to judge a man by what's inside of him, not what he looks outside. The thing we started five years ago was carried over. It's not that Donald and I were doing it, it was something the kids believe in. The kids show respect for each other". Coach Mathews said Central running backs O'Neal and Daw came over after the game and hugged him and said 'Coach Mathews, keep your head up,y'all did a great job'. "That showed a lot of class by those kids. Five years ago,when we played Central there was no talking after the game. You could feel the tension. Now the kids have a lot of respect for each other. Our kids are crying after the game and they would walk over and hug them and tell them to keep their heads up. That says a lot about them."

TD, if you can only score 1 point this week, I think you are right. That would have to drop you in the Power Rankings the following week. daddy23, I'm not sure who we play the week after this week but how many points would we have to score that week to get our Power Ranking back up? ;D Three....I dare you to try to beat the next team 3-0. I dont think you can do it. I won't take that dare. Whatever the score I just hope we both come out of it healthy. Good luck. I really want some of that coach that coaches yalls other team. ;D I think he has just about enough people out that we might have a chance against him. With my football knowledge I could probably just out coach him. I am calling mercy, mercy, uncle whatever you want me to call...lol.. I am just happy to be ranked 8th.. ;D

It is a true honor to finally be placed on the weekly power rankings. I feel alot of pressure now and I hope I can live up to the expectations that go along with being ranked.. I hope to be still at #8 or higher next week...Thankyou Daddy23! I do feel the love!

lol...you caught that quick...I was trying to slip it in.. ;D I am just playing.. Really it's a great rivalry, but outside of the two teams playing its just another district game to everyone else.

No offense..BUT if you aren't from Mid county, mid county madness don't really matter to any one else.. I understand it's a great rivalry and all that ,but outside of PNG/Nederland it's just another game.

It only affects the Jr.schedule. Bmt.Gold Jr is the only team to merge with Bmt.Blue. jr. the other divisions are not affected.

Come to the Babe a few hours before kickoff and I am sure you will be entertained...

Vidor/PNG has been cancelled

It is very bad. we had 3 kids out yesterday..and I know the Jr.high has several out.. One of the Jr.high games for tonight was cancelled due to a lack of kids..

It rained hard this morning..it quit for about 2 hours and now its back at it... wet wet wet

actually there will be 8 teams..two wild cards along with first and second place of each division

I will let the kids know today that our goal is to atleast get in the power rankings... ;D And your right about worrying if we will have enough kids to have 11 out there..wow....

actually BMT.Gold is merging with BMT.Blue this week.So PNG purple should have a bye week. The Gold team is dissolving. How I understand it is, whoever the Gold team was suppose to play for the rest of the season has a bye.
