I'm sure that ozen want to win the game, but revenge ain't important, what happen last year is last year. they are trying to improve and get ready for district. and hopefully make the playoffs, and go 3 rounds again or better. go panthers !!  8)

  I agree with 85' HUSKER at ozen the coaching has gotten better, the  kids are more discipline, ( but still have a few problems, like all schools do ). But over all, with the athletes they have and proper coaching, winning can be contagious. Play hard for 4 quarters and winning will take of it's self. go panthers !!

1978 before Hebert started their 3 year state championship run under legendary coach fred williams. hebert played a playoff game against silsbee, in the old mcdonald gym, it was packed to the rafters. silsbee was state ranked and undefeated, led by a player name dexter wallace, that was just awesome and could score anywhere on the court. the game went back and forth for 4 quarters, with no team leading by six points or more. with less than ten seconds left in the game, and the score tied 75-75. hebert had the ball in the back court, a guard name alton bridges, dribbled to the front court with the time clock running down, and scored a ten foot base line jumper with one second on the clock. the crowd went nuts, silsbee was stunned. hebert 77 silsbee 75.

it was a great game, i was pulling for yates and region 3.

back to the yates vs. kimball game, if yates was in a full court man defense in the last 30 seconds of the game, they sure left #10 torrey hunter wide open. for two 3-pointers.

i agree with ozensfinest, with 20 seconds left and you have the lead and the ball. why shoot, hold the ball and make your foul shots.then why press (play man to man) and leave #10 torrey henry wide open for the 3-pointer. yates should have won this game. you live by the press, then you die by the press. boutte would have won this game. i'm  just saying.

It would be more competition for the quarterback position. you always  need a good back-up, in case of injuries. Briscoe can throw the deep ball, all he would do is make them better.
