  1. There's ants and I'm allergic, the grass makes me itch, I gotta go poop coach
  2. They are just loaded with talent and for years to come. Don't look to see PNG out of the playoffs for a long time
  3. It sure was nice when all you had was little league. Those days are gone. Good luck to all
  4. Actually they run off of the field and across the track into a grassy area and throw up. Not being a homer, but I've watched some of the off season conditioning going on at PNG recently and I have to see they are getting after it hard. Heard Coach Faircloth speak to the kids and this man is a good one. #1 priority, GRADES and CONDUCT in school. It's almost too good to be true. The new coaches are on campus and I've met several of them. We just need some more beefy guys, and couple of high flyers Look for this team to turn things around in 09. Scalp'em
  5. Your stadium looks very nice. It looks like ya'll are doing it the right way. I like the black fence that was installed. Makes it look nicer than the grey fence. I wish we could've put new visitor stands in our revamping.
  6. I think the way it works is the entire city budget, which includes the municipal school district is supported by the significant sales tax from the enormous wealth of the business and sales tax within the incorporated city limits. They have a multitude of businesses like Webster, but even more sales tax due to a large Texas Instruments plant and a butt load of retail and motels.
  7. LU does this every year. Start out strong against crappy teams, and then starting SLC games they start slipping. Can we please start sweeping some of these sub-par SLC teams. If not then LU doesn't need to be in the top 25. What would impress me is win atleast two out of three from every SLC team. That's where the program should be. IMO
  8. My above statements were all in good fun since I know TVC184. Nothing harmful meant by the statement.
  9. Good analysis...I agree with you. I think Langham Creek would be a good prospect.....would be tough and a challenge but very rewarding. Are they looking for a HC or an OC? Yep, look on Ft Bend ISD and Cypress-Fairbanks ISD web site
  10. Actually it looks like their playing Nederland ;D It's ok we'll let you walk on the field if you want to, I know it's tough taking the backseat to the NDNS. Hey atleast ya'll have a swim facility at the middle school
  11. Young Coach, take a look at Willowridge HS in Ft Bend ISD, use to be a power house football team (Thurman Thomas), but hasn't had much lately. Kind of a rough school. Also, Langham Creek HS in Cy Fair ISD. Tough district, 5A school with large enrollment in a district that is one of the largest in the state and still growing. Football stadiums there make ours look like a peewee field.
  12. Residents don't pay property taxes or school taxes. It's something to that effect. You can get decent house deals there. Small community about 15,000 people stuffed on US 59 between Houston and Sugar Land. They just built a huge muslim mosque there about 5 years ago, a new civic center, new city buildings, and a butt load of motels for a small town. I would personally look for another district, but it's just me. Stafford area has alot of businesses, but not too much of a sense of community. I use to work in the area. It borders one of the worst parts of Houston, the southwest side and Sharpstown mall is about 5 minutes away. It wouldn't be my first pick. Also you have major traffic issues in that area although if you lived in Sugar Creek in Sugar Land, it would be a small commute. I would look towards Katy,Ft Bend, Lamar Consolidated, Needville ISD before Stafford. Thats just my personal preference though. BTW, the school district is owned by the city, it's the only district like that in the state of Texas. In 1977, Stafford broke away from the Fort Bend Independent School District, which caused several rounds of federal litigation and by 1981 its was finally declared that the Stafford Municipal School District was constitutional. Almost all of Stafford was in FBISD, with a minuscule portion in the Houston Independent School District. All of Stafford is now zoned to the Stafford Municipal School District, which is the only school district in all of Texas that is controlled by the city. Students living outside the city limits, in Stafford's southern extraterritorial jurisdiction (including Fifth Street), are served by the Fort Bend Independent School District. Residents in the northern extraterritorial jurisdiction are served by the Alief or Houston Independent School Districts. When most of Stafford was a part of Fort Bend ISD, Staffordshire Elementary was located in Stafford. Staffordshire housed Black students in grades 1-4. Staffordshire closed in September 1965 when Fort Bend ISD desegregated. The district later sold the Staffordshire property.[15]
  13. No worry here, it appears that PNG is playing some salty teams early that will help later in district. Baytown tourney is all decent 5A ball clubs and the other two loses were to good Louisiana teams. We'll bounce back. Four of five losses by one run.
  14. I was told by the coach that the PNG/Sulphur game was at PNG
  15. Last time I checked we the tax payers were paying for the stadium not any of the plants. I wish they would give us millions, then we could've built one as high as the rainbow bridge. That way we could show our A$$ to 77 and tell him to kiss it. ;D
  16. This is probably one of the best four teams in all of 4A. If you can find four tougher teams combined in the same district ley me know.
  17. PNG is loaded from 9th-12th grades. Look for PNG to do some things the next couple of years. Congrats to my NDNS
  18. Port Neches LL and Fannet Hamshire Winnie Stowell LL will play major league games together in regular season. Both leagues agreed to it. PNLL only had three 11/12 year old teams this year and FHWS was nice enough to let our teams play some games with them. I would like to tell the league thank you very much.
  19. Matt is good, but there are several other names that I heard about like Benoit, Kerr, and a couple of others. Matt was voted most athletic at school, but I think there may a few guys ahead of him. This is pure speculation, and I imagine Coach Faircloth will give all player s a chance to beat out others for the starting position. Good luck to all
  20. 1. Was a bat boy for the Golden Gators one year. Cooliest thing ever. 2. 13 year old all-star team played at Olsen field (A&M) for the state championship and had to lose two games, and we did. That sucked. 3. My dad called time out in a little league game and whipped me on the pitchers mound for back talking him. True story and my friends still jack with me about that. 4. Got into a fight at The Palace with the Lumberton Little league all-star players after we (Amelia) beat them like 26-1. Of course we started it. 5. Enjoyed playing little league all the way through high school baseball. Good memories.
  21. I'm telling you Nederland has a decent team. If they put it all together, they'll be there for the playoffs. I've seen both play and they are about equal teams. No big suprise to me. Congrats dogs
  22. Whatever happened to kids playing Little League to represent your community. Every year the 10-12 year old range leaves LL to play select. Don't get it. Back in the 80's and before, it was a previledge sp? to play for your local LL team. Come all-star time, it was the best your city had against the best of the other city. Now you get some decent players and left overs that didn't play select. An example is Groves, as small as the city is and you have two different leagues, Pony and LL. Why not have one or the other and have all play in one league. I'm not totally against select, I just think it shouldn't start until around 13 YOA because that's when most either stick with baseball or quit. Just my opinion
