  1. Just like people have the right to file for the open records, which I thinks is stupid, the district has the right to wait the entire 10 days. The 10 days aren't up yet. I think there's too much put into this list. Give us a good coach period. To H$$l with all of the nay sayers ie jackass or whatever his name is. It's ok to discuss topics, but when every comment you make is putting another team down that's wrong. If you can't be civil then go to the circus website because all you need is the big top. Scalp'em
  2. Dad was all state in Mississippi as a QB and baseball player. Good family hope he does well
  3. Eskue has been at Kelly since I was in HS early 90's. Rabb went to Kelly after about 6 disaster seasons at WB. I don't think Eskue was ever at WB. Good coaches, but we might be able to do better. I do like Rabb as OC did a great job when we went 20-0 at WB, but lost 1st rd playoff games
  4. I watched Ozen in Ned tourney they didn't look like the Ozen of the past. I think it's Kelly and Central followed closely by Nederland and Ozen. Although Kelly not in our district
  5. After seeing sterling in this tourney, I think they'll win the 5A district this year. They're pretty good.
  6. See, herein lies the problem. Those that don't follow the program don't really know what his overall record is. They just assume that it is great since it's PNG and they hear about them each season, but take a look at teh real numbers. Overall 94-65 (0.591) with 6 playoff appearences. Not bad, not great either. The 0.591 winning percentage ranks him 11th on the all time PNG list for coaches. Theres been 18 HC's at PNG. But what has happened lately. Without the D. Long three years the record is: 64-58 (0.525) In the past 9 years since the state title game run: 52-40 (0.565) But that includes just three (3) winning seasons and three (3) playoff appearences (1 in the last four years). The numbers speak for themselves. Not as GREAT as everyone thinks are they! To put that into perspective, Neuman over that same period is: 119-52 (0.696) with 12 playoff appearences. Matt is a great person and good coach, but if he can't see that he needs help on the offensive side of the ball then maybe he should be replaced. I would love to see him stay and focus on defense and hire an established, imaginative OC. Just don't have any reason to believe it will happen. seems the numbers are different ??? Last ten years 1998 9-2 Bi-District 1999 14-2 State Finals 2000 5-5 2001 3-6 2002 5-5 2003 10-2 Area 2004 8-4 Area 2005 5-3 2006 5-5 2007 8-4 Regional 2008 3-6 Total 75-44 I was a little off on the losses, but is still a decent record for the past 10 years, not great, but decent. Notice how the years are bunched up for playoffs. Do you think that it might be the rotation of a mixture of players coming through and then a not so good crop of players. Just my honest opinion based on keeping up with HS football across the state for a long time.
  7. I look from the 98 season to this season on the historical site on here. I don't know where those other numbers came from
  8. 75 wins and 30 losses in last 10 years 5 playoff appearances and one state final game. I think there is alot of people that would like for their school to average 7 and 3 season for the past 10 years and half the time in the playoffs and one chance to play for the title. I think my math is right on this one guys, I may have missed one or two. The point is that it's not a horrible record. It's winning almost 75% of the games!!! BE CAREFUL what you ask for is all I'm saying.
  9. We beat Crosby, so I will say say Ltrain by17 points, LHS 27 Crosby 10 All aboard, ding, ding Choo Choo
  10. Both teams were wrong, and shouldn't have did this, but it's over and move on.
  11. Congrats Lumberton, and good luck to all in the playoffs. We will be backing all area teams.
  12. Doubt it. I don't see it happening unless he steps aside, but I could be wrong.
  13. Thought it would be a closer game. WB should be good for two rounds and then you start facing the big boys. Good Luck WB
  14. Maybe this could be added to the halftime show. Toughman contest between parents I promise you that there would be lines of people each week. Let's get ready to rumble...ding ding Seriously, nobody was seriously injured and both guys apoligized to each other, still no excuse.
  15. Congrats to Lumberton, but talking about tacky with fans, I was standing at Merriman and Avenue C when a car load of Lumberton fans drove by me and hung thier heads out of the window saying "How does it feel? How does it feel?" and laughing. I laughed later about it, but come on guys it's all in good fun, but dang do you have to go as far as to yell at people.
  16. When Grogan learns not to run standing straight up and lowers his head, he will for sure be very hard to take down. I seen him against PNG and we had trouble tackling him, but I noticed he hardly ever lowered his head and bulled through people. He's a good RB, and big.
  17. Hey Scalp, do you hope you're wrong on this one? ;D ??? ;D ??? Heck yea I hope I'm wrong, but gut feeling tells me otherwise. I'm a diehard NDN fan, but I don't wear the purple shaded glasses
  18. Let me clarify my post, I'm not bashing volunter coaches by any means, believe me I've coached youth sports (Basketball, Baseball, and Football for 15 years) so I feel your pain and pleasure. I was simply posting to some of the parents that were gripping about what they called "daddy ball". Let me share a quick story with ya'll, ok ready, I had a son that was born at 29 weeks and weighed 1lb 5oz. He was a miracle baby and after 3 months in Texas Children he ended doing great, no mental problems, just pretty small for his age. I let him play when he was 9 years old tackle football. Hey he weighed 45 lbs soaken wet. It was one of the best memories because he stuck his head in there with all the big boys and didn't back down. After that season, I told him when he gets to middle school and wants to play, go for it. He'll be in Middle school next year and I hope he still wants to play. Anyways didn't have alot to do with this topic, but it did have to do with memories for a kid that might be way too small come high school football to be able to play youth sports. Anyways just wanted you guys to know that I wasn't trying to bash anything your doing, because without you guys there would be no youth sports programs in this area.
  19. My 19 month old is already putting juke moves on other kids and is the fastest at daycare :D ;D JK Hey I thought it was funny. Hopefully all three of mine will contribute one day to Indian football.

  22. No matter what sport, baseball, football, or whatever things are going to change alot from the time these kids are playing at 6,7 to high school. Over half will drop out and quit sports for whatever reason, or alot of times the star players will be just average. The kid playing the non skilled positions could potentialy be the Qb or Rb. Parents putting too much stock in youth sports. Let'em be kids and play if they want to play. Look at how many kids make it to the pro's in any sports from this area!! I love sports like the next person and have three boy's of my own, but dang after high school thier butts better be making some good grades and getting a college degree. Good luck to all and hopefully your kids do great.
  23. Get your head out of your $#@ JK I've seen better calls by a telemarketer I can't say the rest, yound people read these
