USM because they have home games against Marshall and Boise State, all the other big games the other teams play away.

I'm not taking anything from WOS, but how does a school like Memorial not get in the endzone with the athletes that are in PA? It's starting to look like the HISD schools, all the talent a coach could want, but they never win anything. I just don't get it. Anyways, good job stangs

Since everyone is off the topic, man you ought to see the new scoreboard. It's awesome, huge with two giant spears on each side. Very nice, I can't wait. My wife called me a name today (what's new ;D) A sports stalker I told her that I'm just pumped up for football season, and the new stadium.

Off topic, but thier both good backs. Just because you get the better end of a hit doesn't mean your all american. If you play football long enough you'll be on the recieving end of getting "TRUCKED". Beard is an excellent football player and I hope he does good this year,except for against us ;D Haven't heard of a transfer player, but I'll find out. You still have to beat the returning players out for a starting position. He may not even be an impact player.

I could not agree more, Dicky. Lamar has missed the boat the last 2 decades with the Houston area recruits. Lot's of folks have argued that Lamar needs some local recruits to fill the seats in the Montagne, which is true. But I also believe that if you get some Houston players, you will see some of those folks drive over for games too. I'm not sure it is totally necessary to hire a Houston coach as an assistant, but whoever is on the staff needs to definetly work the Houston area very hard. I agree, I'm not a basketball guru, but LU needs to start winning some games and do it fast. Coach Roc has been here a couple of years and I just don't see fans keeping cool for too much longer. Get an asistant from H-Town that can recruit some of the top players. The Hoops ranking I seen for the latest recruits is embarassing. We aren't even in the top 3 or 4 in the Southland in recruits. Better do something fast.

That far down is not going to get the job done. people are going to grow restless unless a quality team is put on the floor soon. Coach Roc we all have faith in you, but ina couple of years you'll start hearing grumblings unless LU wins a conference championchip(s)

Plano West and Southlake Carroll, I never understood the regions because these two teams are less than 45 minutes from each other, but they are both in Austin. Good old UIL

Louisiana's QB is very good, they have another one but I didn't see his name. He's from South Plaqumine parish, but think he was only a junior last year. They have some talent, and this Texas team isn't the state's best, some of the best, but not the best of the entire state. Anyways hopefully Texas wins.

I see your point, but PN-G had an above average number of drops and it was not all on Tatum. That can be said for any QB, but I saw more dropped balls from our team than any team we played. And for what it is worth, I think PN-G is a playoff team. District champs? I don't know. I think we will have a strong running game with Wright and nearly the entire line coming back. As far as our passing game I think the team needs to practice pass blocking a little more in practice. Tatum never really had much time last year. Also, I feel like Tatum needs to make more athletic plays and hit some people on the move. Third, our passing playbook sucks. We throw a 5 yard out, a go route, and tight end over the middle. Once in a blue moon you will see a deep slant or a swing to pass to a back. That's it. No creativity. If all those things can come together than PN-G will have the "O" to win district. If we are relegated to counters and toss sweeps, I do not see it happening. I agree, alot of passes should've been caught. I don't like the sideline go route that they ran last year that never worked. PNG isn't going to burn LaMarque, Central, and Ozen DB's on the deep pass (sorry guys) which is what they tried to do last year against Ozen and LaMarque and that's why the games were close. They need to work on the short and intermediate routes, the TE pass they have works very good, but like Akifan94 said a little more creativity but not the run and shoot, just enough to keep people guessing. PNG will have a solid team, have some good athletes coming up, I don't know about the district championship, but we'll be contenders and not pretenders. I see some good district battles again this year. This is going to sound like excuses, but keep in mind that PNG might not have a home stadium until the last couple of games so keep that in mind.

I like the old system where 8 teams went to a regional and the winner of the regional went to Omaha, this super regional stuff is kind of pointless.

I don't have stats, but super regionals have only been around for maybe 10 years (not sure). I don't remember a big 12 team not being in atleast one. Big 12 way down this year. people going to other schools away from Texas I think.
