  1. The Lumberton fans are the loudest in the area and that's coming from a PNG fan. BTW your not the only adult that is like that believe me. Why do you think there is many posts on this web site? There you have it.
  2. Did Nederland play their Freshman RB against Dayton all game or what? Ned doesn't have a running attack, so people can sit back defend the pass. I think Dayton's defensive is real good and their team is a whole lot better than the first of the year, but my NDNS are too. PNG wins a barn burner. My prediction is PNG 21 Dayton 20 Dayton goes for two again and gets denied a second time ;D
  3. Nederland will have to play their best game of the season to beat Lumberton. Lumberton will swarm to the ball on defense. If Nederland gets the passing game going with some running it will be a good game. But if Ned relys on strickly the pass, then Lumberton will run away with it. Lumberton is a good team, and will bring it for 4 quarters. Lumberton offense is very good as well, and the RB Hussey is hard to bring down. He will get extra yardage at the end of the play by pumping his feet and pushing forward. Look for Lumberton to own the time of possession and wear Nederland down. As for the Lumberton fan that has like 16 posts on here, no Lumberton shouldn't have won the game against PNG, but it was close. Also, the ref excuses are old, and we did win games away from the Reservation ;D
  4. Oh, I really didn't know who was D champs, but I knew Dickinson was able to continue their season. I didn't know they lost last night either.
  5. It's not true. Their district voted on it, and all of the schools said that Dickinson didn't have to forfeit any games. They will still be in the playoffs. They have a good team, and I think they're the district champs of a very tough district. They'll be the DIV 1 team from that district
  6. Man, ETBU you've had to man up alot this year since Huffman has only won two games ;D OK, that was mean, but I had to get my shot in. Actually this years matchups between our districts might be good games.
  7. How about being able to adapt to society in general. Playing sports gives a student a slight edge on life itself. Once the kids graduate college and is in the real world, they have a foundation that helps them understand what TEAM is all about. Just about every job you have to be a TEAM player. You can tell sometimes the adults that didn't play sports have a hard time being able to effectively communicate with other employees. This sounds crazy, but one day at your job sit there and look at your co-workers and then think about what I said. You'll see. This isn't the case in everything, but the majority of the time it is. You also have to be able to juggle numerous responsabilities at one time, and the same thing goes for life itself. This is just the tip of the iceberg of what sports can teach the kids, but you can go on and on. So in closing, I think sports prepares kids for being productive citizens along with help from home, etc.
  8. I understand, and believe me I don't think we're the best team in the state. Sometimes you don't have to be the best team in the state if you can get on a roll in the playoffs and reel off five or six wins. I did say Crosby was the better team in week two, but I think now looking at us that we are better than Crosby. No matter who wins between our two districts in round one, the second games are going to be tough. If you get past the second round this year, you have a shot at making a dang good run.
  9. I hope your wrong on your prediction, but you are from Dayton
  10. Why is it that etbu, bh, and others from that area wait till now to get on here and start trash talking. Every year no matter who from our district goes over there and whips 21-4a in the playoffs. It doesn't matter if Crosby beat us earlier this year, I actually hoped we were going to play them again. In week 2 of this season, Crosby was the better team, I think that's why they won : BH is going to talk trash because they got whipped in district and want everybody to think their district is so great. BH ya'll are closer to our schools then the Lamarque's and Lamar Consolidated's. So those teams aren't in your area. It's a new year and think the teams from 22-4A will compete with the Houston area teams this year. Anyways, BH do you need directions to our stadium for OUR playoff game or you going to basketball practice Good luck to all Golden Triangle teams and 22-4A in the playoffs
  11. I would think becuse we've reeled off 7 straight wins and LM has lost two recently, but like I said it matters if your #1 at the end of the year.
  12. Dickinson almost had to forfeit seven games due to an inelligible player, but the forfeit was voted down. Of all people I think it was their kicker ;D
  13. Good job to all of the area residents that voted for the bonds. This entire area has suffered for years having old schools, lack of technology and just an overall ugly appearance. I know we all still call it home, but man if the money is spent right and the area school districts build NEW and IMPROVED schools you will be proud to call it home. I moved to the Katy area several years ago before moving back for the family. While I was over there I was amazed at the all of the new schools that looked like colleges and the greenbelts that were kept clean and the thriving business industry as well as all of the new homes. I think the golden triangle is on their way to the same thing, but it's just taking a while.
  14. Aggies ranked higher than UT, man tides have turned. Ut beginning to be the other Texas college. hahahahaha
  15. Silly, that sums it up. Great one year college basketball player that had great stats. UT was already on the map for it's basketball program, so he didn't put them on the map and the team didn't go that far with KD on the team. Sorry UT I disagree with this one.
  16. Why can't LU get Texas Tech on their schedule at the Montagne. I would love to heckle Bobby Knight.
  17. It appears that their schedule is not that tough, so llok for the Ags to have a decent record that might be padded with easier teams they are playing this year.
  18. Augustin from the boot is lights out. In my opinion, he's the best player that UT has this year unless one of the freshman is better. I watched him last year and he is going to be an elite player.
  19. Dayton sings "Purple Rain" after The Tribe flood Broncos hopes of a District Title PNG goes into the One Horse Town and Shows Dayton that They were just a Dog and Pony show Indians show 22-4A why they were the "Wright" team to win district
  20. This will be a cake walk for the Brook. Will WB be in same division with Katy or North Shore? That will be the tough games. Good Luck Brook
  21. All of this doesn't mean anything. If you win five games in Division 1 or six games in Division 2 is what counts because you go home with a state title. It's neat for the fans, but that's it.
  22. It doesn't really matter this year, but I was at my in-laws a couple of months ago in the Woodlands, and Conroe ISD is building another big stadium behind the Home Depot at Research Forest Drive and I-45. I imagine this stadium will be hosting some of our area playoff games next year.
  23. Week 11 Michigan @ Wisconsin Alabama @ Mississippi State Arkansas @ Tennessee Florida @ South Carolina Auburn @ Georgia Florida State @ Virginia Tech Texas Tech @ Texas ( 3rd loss for Texas) Kansas @ Oklahoma State Southern Cal @ California North Carolina @ North Carolina State
  24. My best memory of the Rez is bringing all three of my young boys into the stadium. All three wearing purple PNG football uniforms even my 7 month old. The day of games on our way to the stadium, the boys are singing the school fight song. I remember this year playing Lumberton and before the game, we were about to cross the road when Lumberton's buses come driving by and their band was yelling out of the window at us. My two young sons began shouting scalp'em indians while waving their arms in a tomahawk chop at the buses. My oldest boy that is 10 said to them, your not winning at our home, "This is the Reservation" and he had like this mad look on his face. There is so many more memories of the stadium, but my favorite is watching three young future Indians walk into the stadium and have the Honor, Pride, and Tradition deep in their hearts. SCALP'EM INDIANS FOREVER
