  1. Yes, the two story wing will be demolished and my wife will get a new classroom. They are building a new section added on to the school in the back by the band hall I think. The area that is demolished will be more parking which is what is needed.
  2. EC is getting the shaft. That's horrible ranking for EC, they should be way higher
  3. 80's teams could keep up if not beat teams of today. I graduated in 92 from WB and our line had several 280 to 300 pound guys that were fast and agile. Heck not including James Brown at QB, which I would put up against any QB of today. We were one of the smaller WB teams, but we had several guys that could fly and the D was awesome.
  4. Read Yeojl posts, and you can see why he is a mc hater, why not put your comment and move on to the WB thread. That won't happen because there is a handful that like to stir the MC teams up because they are jealous of the pride that the MC schools have about their teams.
  5. Here we go with history, you better look that stuff up before you eat crow, and then tell me who has had more playoff wins, and state titles. Back on the topic, PNG wins this game
  6. I hate to say stuff about WB since I graduated from there, but WB isn't so great themselves. Ya'll beat two 4A teams and got beat by a 5A team. Don't let the recent success go to your head.
  7. Another MC hater : I guess Ozen is good because WB struggled with them :
  8. In high school mostly, let's face it we don't get to see all of the talented players at all levels because most of us are just going to the games that our community school is playing. You have to go by stats no matter how small the school is, and I think the kid from Hardin is a good QB without seeing him play due to the numbers. That is how all athletes are compared. Look at baseball, basketball, and football. A person doesn't make the pro bowl because people say he's the BEST player, he makes it because of his STATS. Same thing for all-district ect,ect The only way it would be different is if the first string QB goes down in the middle of the season and the second string guy begins to play and puts up great numbers for the rest of the year, but hasn't played as many games so his stats aren't as good.
  9. Here's one for ya " I fought the law and the law won" :D Man, he must have fallen while walking into the jail ;D
  10. There was a rule change in the area youth football this year where now 7 year olds play pee wee tackle with the 8 year olds. My son turns 7 next football season, but I think it might be too young to let him play tackle. What's your comments on this young of kids playing tackle football?
  11. Happy that he will be alright, thanks Patitan for updates, and taking care of our little Indian.
  12. We would run a sweep right and attempt the 2 pt conversion
  13. Week 5 West Virginia Purdue Oklahoma Oregon Michigan St. Georgia Tech Alabama Washington Florida Louisville
  14. I know it's a county thing, but if BISD built a multi-purpose building don't you think that it would be alot like ford park. This would be a waste and it would even hurt Ford Park more, if that's possible. I think you use Ford Park with an agrrement with the county along with the swimming attached. I like stadiums on campus too, but for a city with multiple schools, one stdium is enough and it saves the distrcit and tax payers alot of money.
  15. Why couldn't they use the Ford Park for thier multi-purpose facility and add a swimming facility to the building out there. Partnership with LU on the football stadium for revamping it. I think that would save alot of money, but maybe I'm wrong. They for sure need new schools, but I would look at other options for the sports facilities.
  16. In the late 80's, I was at WB and we lost two football players and two baseball players to WOS at the same time. WOS had a great baseball program back then, as well as football. I'm not saying WOS had anything to do with it, but four kids leave and go to Orange at the same time when all of them grew up in Beaumont. Nothing against WOS, but that is what happened.
  17. This is just a thought, Port Neches has about 14,000 people and Groves has about 17,000 people. A third of Groves goes to Port Arthur schools. Therefore, there are only about 28,000 people that live in PNG ISD boundaries. In conclusion, there are people that graduated from PNG that live out of the area that still support PNG and come football season they drive in from all parts of Texas and further. That's why PNG TRADITION is so big and we are proud of it. Name another one besides maybe Nederland that comes close. Think of the cities population and then the number of people that attend the games, it's incredible.
  18. Lived in Katy for a couple of years and my wife taught at Katy HS. They have more fan support than anyone around here. Alot of it has to do with the large influx of people in that area, it's just incredible. It's a sea of red. For 4A I would say PNG and Nederland. I don't know much on the small classification schools.
  19. I guess if you have more than one TEAM, surely one of them is going to win. I don't think anyone from MC said that Nederland or PNG was going to win state. Your argument on this one is silly. Lamar is usually a good team, but when was the last time they won state or came close to winning it. They are an average 5-A school in a sub par district that just whipped the snot out of your Titans. Oh yeah, I forgot you ALSO root for LaMarque, the team that you told us wasn't the LaMarque of past. Whatever, make your mind up, and by the way we had a goose egg against them, but it was far from getting beat up. NOW, PAM got beat up by Lamar HS ;D
  20. You must have been either the ball boy or trainer for WOS in high school. Have you ever been to a Stephenville game before or you going off of when we played them for STATE while your bulldogs were still licking thier wounds from a defeat. (Sorry Bulldog fans) This isn't about what TEAM is toughest, the thread is the toughest PLACE. You have nothing to back your answer with and just looking for something to bash PNG. We can make you the ball boy for us just ask. In fact, we would let you dress up like an Indian if you want to ;D
  21. Strake Jesuit in Houston is in the district with the Katy and Alief teams, and they are competing with them. You can't tell me that they don't recruit to be able to hang in that tough district. They're beating all kinds of 5A schools now.
  22. Keep up the spirit SCRUBS, I think it will pay off if ya'll can get all the folks in Silsbee involved. It's good stuff
