  1. Man, I hated trying to get water that way. Then the coach would jack with you and tie the hose when he thought you were getting too much water. "Alright guys line up for 10,6,4's" 10- 100 yard dashes, 6 -60 yard dashes, 4 -40 yard dashes at the end of a two days sucked.
  2. Back in the early 90's at WB, "Blood makes the grass grow"
  3. Why does everyone think you have to have blazing speed for the spread to work. Not comparing teams, but SLC was never an overall fast team, but the skill guys ran thier routes and the QB made smart decisions. Let's see what they do before you start bad mouthing them. I have to question the speed people are talking about though. Unless Hemmings got extremly faster since last season, I don't see him running faster than a 4.6 in the forty, but who needs the speed when he'll plow over you. Iknow there is several underclassmen coming through the system that can throw the ball though. I say first play this year will be a triple reverse flea flicker option pass to the center on a go route.
  4. Lamarque L 49-14 Crosby W 24-17 Silsbee W 28-21 Ozen W 30-17 LCM W 17-14 Nederland W 21-20 Lumberton W 42-14 Vidor L 17-14 Central L 35-21 Dayton L 48-21 PNG will go 6-4 hopefully and sneak in at the #3 spot. Worried a couple of the games might go the other way. The prediction is realistic, and not a homer pick.
  5. How many parents say a cuss word around the house? it's not the first time the kids have heard a cuss word :
  6. Hopefully they can, what does like Mart, Sweeny, and Cameron Yoe have this year. I don't know alot about those schools, I'm just going on the past couple of years. It seems that all of our area schools fizzle out around the second or third round. Hopefully this year will be different. I know there's alot of hype about Kirbeyville this year. I haven't heard too much on EC. Good luck
  7. I say nobody, and it sounds negative, but unless someone jumps up and suprises me, I don't see any team from here getting past the third round
  8. Big League use to be a descent league back when there wasn't select teams and all that. Back in the mid 80's a Beaumont Amelia team got like 3rd in the world. It has always been historically the Beaumont and northern section of the triangle that has played in the league. I remember that if you won district then your able to pick up players from other teams and you do that all the way to the world series I believe. Anyways I'm old, but if you ask guys in thier 30's about Big League, it was fun back then. So many different leagues and teams now, I don't see how people can say what area has the best baseball because the talent is spread all over the place.
  9. I think it's Friday August 17 this year. Pep rally that get's everybody ready for football time at the Rez. It's an intro to the players, cheerleaders, indian spirit and the people involved in the program. It's been going on for a while.
  10. Don't laugh, but run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run. Worse than an old pair of underwear!!! ;D
  11. Hpw can you say us, we're picked like fifth in the district this year. Unless you're picking us last in district and that won't happen.
  12. Is he the son of coach Arthur Louis?
  13. Be careful what you ask for. PAM doesn't impress me, and believe me neither Nederland nor PNG will duck anybody. We might get beat, but not without a fight, and I think 30,000 fans would agree. Scalp'em
  14. I remeber in FB season 1991 I was playing for the Brook and we played at WOS. We won 34-7 after WOS was ranked #1 in 4A that year pre-season. It was great to finally beat and I mean beat WOS. Great winning tradition at WOS. Those fans were rough though having to go under the home side to get to our locker room. I remember before the game WOS had all these newspaper clippings in the visitor locker room talking about state in the 80's, and how great thier team was, I guess someone forgot to take those down before we got there ;D
  15. Week 0, Battle of the Triangle WOS vs. Central 9:00 AM Ozen vs. Memorial 11:30 AM PNG vs. Barbers Hill 2:00 PM Nederland vs. West Brook 4:30 PM Dayton vs. Baytown Lee 7:00 PM Newton vs. East Chambers 9:30 PM Bridge City vs. Deweyville 12:00 AM LCM vs. Baytown Sterling 2:00 AM ;D
  16. This area has always had great tight ends ;D ;D
  17. I was being sarcastic Look Dr. Phil, I cheer for PNG in the low times and high times. You ever go to a home game and have senior citizens get upset because your standing and not sitting? I make sure to bring my kids to all of the sporting events at PNG whether it's football, basketball, and baseball. I don't see many others at basketball or baseball, and that's a shame. Anyways, hopefully kids do read this and began supporting more PNG athletics, and hope they aren't parents yet ;D
  18. Good Luck West End. I hope ya'll go all the way!!! Represent the area well
  19. yea, just north of I-10 before entering Houston.
  20. Oh, ok thanks for the info. Sounds like they have a solid team
