This just an observation, but I think it has to do with the pool of solid teams in different classifications. 5A and 4A are loaded in the houston area, which hurts our 4A and 5A teams. For example, our 4A teams have to get past the likes of LaMarque, Texas City, Friendswaood, Lamar Consolidated, Brenham, and several other tough teams. In 5A, we have to get past people like Katy, Lamar, Westfield, and other tough teams. The Houston area also has alot of current growth which means there is such an influx of people moving there that the talent pool can't, but to be good. All in all the upper classifications have a tough road after the first or second round, where as the lower classes don't start playing better teams until about the third or fourth round. This is just my opinion.

OK, I'm not knocking your thread, but if you make one, people will put thier opinions. You have people talking about them now Good Luck in the playoffs. Even if we are in a down season, I don't think EC hangs in with PNG like one guy said. Silsbee wore down because of the lack of depth and so would EC. EC has a great 2A team.

Although EC is a good team, they aren't the best team in the area. I would take WB, Memorial, all area 4A teams, and several 3A teams over 2A EC. Once again, I understand that you think thier a good team, but to say thier the best isn't a fair statement.

Hopefully next year, the teams in this district will compete better with Dayton, so when they do leave the next year we won't have listen to them be sarcastic about our tough district.

We haven't very many games this year, but we beat Crosby. Aren't they in ya'lls district and going to the playoffs.

I don't think they'll have one because the next realignment, I think they will go somewhere else, maybe with BH.

I'll be rooting for anyone who plays BH.

I don't really like him, but I pick Hooks of WOS. They whip people year in and year out for a long time and this year is no different. I have no idea where he finds these players :wink: but they put it together every year.

I'll be rooting for ya'll. Beat'em and take it to the house to shut them people up.

Look at how many state trophies are in the golden triangle. I think we as an area have earned it. There's a swagger that comes along with it. I'm not always talking trash, but if you read some of the posts from BH people, it makes you not really like them. Ya'll are having a good year in 4A congrats, but I don't think you've earned it yet. Go win a 4A state title and come back and talk to me.

Yea, and I wish ya'll were on our schedule. I would be suprised if ya'll win the first round against one the teams from our district.

I'm picking Galena Park over Barbers Hill. I pull for whoever against BH. Too many mouthy people..

They're called womp'em beads thank you. We also have a totum pole at the school. You can say what want to, but I can promise that no other school in this area can come close to the traditions that we have.

I'm not predicting anymore upsets for the NDN's. I'll be watching the rest of the southeast Texas teams in the playoffs. Please someone from this district put a butt whipping on mouthy Barbers Hill.

When I was a sophmore at WB, we beat them on a guard around trick play, and you would've thought WWIII started. Maybe this thread ought to be called "Tell the horror stories of Galveston Ball" Just don't schedule a game with them, and if you do make sure that your playing at your field with alot of cops.

Hey, you ought to see the WOS youth football teams, they're like man children. I think two of the three youth teams are undefeated and playing for the finals. Something in the water.

Ball is one of the worst and dangerous places to play. When I was playing for WB back in the day, they pushed some school buses over. I have no respect for that school.

One other thing this is football, not volleyball. Put your softball equipment away
