Beaumont Ozen at Lumberton Game Thread/Ozen wins 48-21
TradinUp BH replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Man, all kind of matchups will change if the Raiders pull this out. -
I thought Dayton had issues when they played BH. I noticed the QB looked lost back there. Play calling was suspect and secondary had questions, but we hardly threw against them. I thought their run D good. I thought the second QB that played against BH looked better IMO. I don't think any of us on here expected this lopsided of a score. Dayton needs to shrug this one off fast because they have Nederland next week.

C.E. King vs. Humble Game Thread/CE King wins 40-0!!
TradinUp BH replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Humble was shutout in 5 of their 8 district games. They actually have decent size and some decent athletes. Their underclassmen are decent too. I don't know what their deal is. Maybe some coaching and the lack of believing? Not sure, but how do you only score 32 points in 8 games? It may be a while till they have anything. -

Parking is a big issue. It doesn't look like it has been upgraded since WWII. The best is the Butch. The worst stadium in 19-4A is Crosby because of the one rd. in and one rd. out issue. Takes forever to leave. They also have the most obnoxious announcer. The best is Turner although they also are the most expensive with a poor concession stand. Good overhead covering for rain. BH has the best concessions with the most variety and best prices. BH
If BH upgrades the video scoreboard, I would put it up there with any area stadium. Maybe more seating on visitor side, but I'm with the seating. Every game this year, the visiting side wasn't even filled up. The scroeboard I think would be the finishing touch.
how many seats is the visitors side? Was Dayton close to filling it? it's hard to tell just standing and looking. I agree the stadium is nice.
Texas Bob says the stadium holds 8,000. I would think 5k on home side and 3k on visitor side? Not sure though. I think it's a good size, but if we play teams with big fan bases, you'll hear complaints probably. The scoreboard IMO if upgraded would make it a top notch stadium. It's nice now though. -

The costs of running the site has gone up. We upgraded to a bigger and better server to handle the increase in traffic. The bigger the site grows, the more expensive it is to keep running. Would love to keep this site a free site, but times do change. The site will not go down within a week. That was tongue in cheek. But that doesn't mean that everything is "peachy king" as far as the costs are concerned. There will come a time when this will have to be addressed in order to keep the site running. The owner has set up the donation function again. Any donation is appreciated. We are discussing things like subscriptions and advertising. If anyone has any ideas please post them. We could use all the input we can get. Thanks for helping make this site what it is, simply the best!!
Posters have to pay a dollar for every smite they get? I remember the first design was super nice with a 3 story pressbox, brick on the stands, team pro shop, wrought iron fences, and some other really nice features.
team pro shop? really?
You don't think Academy or Walmart is going to put that ugly purple in their stores do you? ;)
Actually, they already do. They have Ned, PNG and PAM stuff available in the local stores.
in Academy? they told me no. PNG has a sports store that caters to PNG/Ned/PAM, and I'm sure several other communities as well. They were going to put the pro shop at the stadium. The 3 story pressbox was going to have rooms to rent out for birthday parties and such during games.
whats the name? i need a new Titans shirt.
Complete Athlete on Magnolia. They have shirts and hats for PAM. -
I think for 19-4a vs 20-4a 1st round you gotta play at the Butch, Lamar, or Baytown area, for LCM vs Crosby the Butch would be as nuetral as you can get and plenty big enough, I'd like to see the D1 schools play at Lamar Friday and Saturday nights. Ozen and BH might as well flip for home field.
Actually it's going to be BH and Livingston. I could see Woodforest Stadium first round or Turner Stadium.
