You had less rushing yards. 2. less first downs. 3. more punts. 4.  less passing yards; albeit by 1 yard than BH.    If anything, the wind disrupted your coaches more than it disrupted your passing game.  You guys (as per stats on Chron.com) avg 7.6 pass completions per game and guess what 7 completions this game.  Yes, Dayton won and like I said, congratulations on a hard fought win; but c'mon guys, BH shut down your vaunted offense just as Dayton shut down BH's.  Call it for what it was, a helluva game with a good plan by both coaching staffs and leave it at that. [/quote] I agree with you Eagle. If I remember the fleflicker reverse we ran and completed was against the wind. Dayton I believe had a long throw against the wind as well. I was surprised that Dayton didn't go down field more with the wind against their back. Dayton hit a crossing route for big play and never went back to that play or anything down field. Still scratching my head on that play calling by the Broncos. I know some of it had to do with pressure from our D, but you can only asnap to the QB and run left and right so much. That won't get it done in a couple of weeks. Anyways that's my insight for what it's worth. ;D

Unless a Dayton player hit him in the ankle, it wasn't from the hit. I think someone landed on his ankle or his foot got caught in the pile and got twisted. That's what it looked like from my seat. ;)

[/quote] I disagree. The clock was your friend. With only 1:25 left (I think around that), who cares if they get a first. I've never seen a D line up like that at almost midfield. There was one corner on WR and the rest were inside the tackles. When your playing a team like Dayton with speed, I'm giving you the middle and holding the outside on that play. The QB did run to the line, but then bounced outside and there was nobody with 15 yards of him. I think it was a bad defensive call, but heck I'm only a fan. [/quote] My thought on the play was to try and stop Dayton from getting a first down, becase they have the best field goal kicker in the state with the wind to his back. You give up a 1st down then the play book opens up and they have 3 more opprotunitys to get the ball in FG position for Caranco (sp). Chambers went up the middle and got pushed back the broke the play if (if if if if) an arm would have got around him then its 4th down. Don't think giving up the 1st down was the answer, but it bit us in the butt. [/quote] My thinking was if you give up a one yard run. The stop clocks with just over a minute and they have the ball on BH44 or 43. The clock starts after chains move and you keep them from getting the 30 or 35 yd line. You turn around and hope for a missed or block PAT or even OT. Just my thought though and my best impression of Monday morning quarterbacking. ;D

I thought one of the smartest calls in this game was when Dayton kicker kicked off and kicked 100 yards into the sky and ball actually started coming back to him andthey recovered the ball. Very smart move to kick it straight up and let the wind take it. The other play that will stick with me was theBH coverage team tackles Dayton at the 4 yd line only to be denied by an offsides penalty. Next play, 95 yd KO return for TD for Dayton. Wild and crazy game.

I'm just worried about QB situation. We have Denny in a boot and backup took a huge hit towards the end of the game he walking sideways. Hope both get healthy. Next week, another big game. Need to fill the tank up. I was curious why Dayton didn't throw the ball more with the wind to thier back. Any Dayton fans want to take a stab at it? Also, why the two QB system. I thought the second guy, not Chambers looked better running.

My take on game. Neither Offense could sustain a drive to score on the others D. Alot of fumbles by both sides. Dayton took advantage of BH mistakes and BH didn't get a break on several Dayton fumbles. Impressed with both defenses. We contained Dayton speed really well. Good all around game. Tough when you lose your QB in first quarter and he is half of the offense. Both sides brought some vicious hits. Dayton QB was running around alot with BH D on him. Two big plays are the difference. I'll take my crow with cajun hot sauce. Congrats Broncos. ;D
