Whoever gets the job at TC is going to have really good team next year! They young this year and have alot of talent coming back.

Dallas SOC can drain the 3's!!! They didn't really impress that much for playing PNG, but maybe it was because they had to play early in the morning. They will get knocked off in this tournament unless they play better then what they did against PNG.

Silsbee looked good, I was at the game. They are very quick. The only problem with Silsbee that I see is that they don't have height. No real big man inside, although they do have #32 who is wide, but not real tall. If they play someone with some inside presence, then Silsbee may be in trouble. Silsbee D is legit, and all of the guards can shoot the rock. WB didn't impress me at all. WB had a tall kid that they kept on the perimeter instead of inside. With the height difference, I'm suprised they didn't put the kid down low and feed the ball into him. WB tried to run with Silsbee, which in my opinion was the wrong game plan. Silsbee just has the better athletes.

Not very detailed in thier reports when speaking about the actual fight. If you noticed they dressed it up leading up to the final event, but then was very vague about the main incident itself. If they reviewed the video(which they said they did) then I would think the report would be a little more detailed then what BISD put out. Just my observation and being unbiased. Hopefully the young men from Ozen learned from this unfortunate incident.

It would be called Injury to a child if the student was 14 years old or younger. The only thing you would have in this case would be assault, but most places would just make Disorderly Conduct fighting since both parties participated in the fight. I don't think you would get Harris County DA to file an assault charge on that. I don't know if the stadium is in Harris or Chambers County. Baytown is in both counties, but unsure what county the stadium is in. You could reach and try to get an Inciting a Riot charge on the instigators since there was more then 7 involved. It's a shame they couldn't have lined them up after breaking it up and write citations for fighting or just started locking folks up. Now the UIL isn't going to do anything, and I doubt either school will do a whole lot. Baytown PD is probably just glad that both schools are gone from there and don't want to deal with figuring it all out.

[/quote] What does records or PNG have to do with the actions of both sides in this melee?

Suspend the head coaches from both schools for the first 3 games next year, and no playoff appearance next year. This will get the coaches and players attention. I doubt these two teams will be allowed to play at Stallworth in the future. The one's involved this year should be sent to alternative school just like if you get in a fight at school That way the seniors this year get sort of punishment). To top it off, make both schools write apology letters to each other. This all seems harsh, but it's a serious issue that needs to be dealt with swiftly and firmly. I agree that LM shouldn't have to forfeit the next game. That's unfair to them since Ozen is out of the playoffs. BTW, I want to comment on the posters bashing the cops. You guys that bash cops are clueless, there are bad apples in every profession, but this was a situation where no administrator, parent, coach, etc.. has a say so in how the cops handle your students, kids, etc.. If you fight, it's against the law and the police have every right to take action whether you like it or not. If you want to buck the cops then you'll be dealt with either by more cops, pepper spray, taser, or whatever. The cops did the right thing with the least amount of force to control a situation that was out of control. They should've started putting some people in jail to make a point, but they didn't and you still have people crying about the cops. Obey the law!!!! ok, off my soap box.
