You have about 8-10 teams that are goiong to be competing for that trophy throughout the year. Very equal league this year.

Cougtalk, you make me laugh. First, Montgomery and Dawson are really good teams. But lets take a look at these first. Dawson 3-0 played Clear Springs 5A who is 0-3, Oak Ridge 5A who is 0-3, and Crosby who is 1-2 Montgomery 3-0 played Spring 5A who is 1-2, Jones 4A who is 0-3, and Crosby who is 1-2 They are good, but not the two best 4A teams in Texas. Actually the AP Poll has them at #12 and #14. Spring your great 5A team is 1-2, losing to Montgomery, Morton Ranch, and barely beating a weak Conroe team. I do think Crosby and Liberty should be higher, but the other comments are not very accurate. 8)

Did ya'll read where UTSA had over 56,000 at thier home opener in the Alamodome. Nobody cares, but I thought that was amazing considering it to be first year program.

They are big and physical. I think you have alot of teams on equal playing field this year in Junior. Heck, I'm worried about tonight. We're playing a makeup game against Kountze in Vidor and we'll be missing half of the team due to CCD. We might be in trouble. Alot of kids missing are starters and in youth league if you lose too many starters it might be a long game.

I don't know LT's numbers, but I would think they'll be 5A before long. Alot of rich people moving out there.

Usually shorts/shoulder pads on Thursday from what I've seen. Also, I think there is more teaching of technique nowdays where there may not be as much full speed as in the past. Wind sprints are nothing like they use to be I promise!

Lumberton-White/Vidor-White is going to be a good one!

These will be some good games. I don't know of a team that has the size of line as Lumberton-White in the Junior Division. Them boys are BIG!

These teams are giving up 60 plus points in games. Like I said there is no way they should beat out some of the Houston area teams in the top 10. Every year the AP puts a Corpus team in there and then playoff time thier true colors come out when they meet up with SA area teams. Houston area, Dallas area, and Austin area teams beat up on each other every year. >:(

I wish they would quit putting a team like Calhoun (Corpus area) in the top 10. Those teams usually don't play anybody to be worthy of the ranking. I think Montgomery or La Marque should be on there before Calhoun.

I looked back and seen where they put 36 points on North Shore and 30 against Elsik, so I'll change the prediction to 42 to 14. I think you'll have atleast one pick six, and atleast 3 TD's by 1st team. 2nd team will score atleast one or two. I probably would say it would be closer if WB hadn't struggled against Ozen, Central, and Eisenhower. Although Katy isn't as strong as they've been in the past. My wife taught there for 4 years and they won state one year, played for state two years, and lost in the semi's another year. They are just really good HS team.

I hate to say it, but Katy 56 WB 14. Maybe I'll be wrong!
