1. I do think BH is going to contend in district this year. It's going to be wild between Dayton, BH, and Crosby. 19-4A might go 3-1 in the first round this year. Props for BH, and I think the Hill is for real this year!
 2.
Headline: Trojans protect QB to prevent an unwanted loss to Orangefield. Interview after game: (Q) Coach what do see as the keys to this victory? (A) Well our defense got good penetration all game, and our offense kept finding ways to get in the end zone.
Awesome! He hit the hole hard, but came out limping. He had to come out of the game. 8)
 3. Central takes off this week like they have for the first three weeks! ;D
 4. PNG White 13 Lumberton White 7 This was a great game between two good teams. They will meet again in the playoffs!
 5.
They will be made up on Wednesday 9/14@6:30.
It's BS too!
 6.
how did JGray do ?
Not as good as LT ;D He broke the all time TD record I think they said.
 7. Raines has a possible concussion. I was told it was a late hit out of bounds and his head hit a piece of the concrete holding the benches. The same person told me it was a cheap shot. Hopefully Raines will be ok.

I wish more of the voters would of been at the BC vs Vidor game, maybe another team would of slid into the rankings and BC out.
I wouldn't put BC out just yet. I'm just thinking Vidor, a 2-0 team, deserves to be above PNG, a 1-1 team.
I'm one of the voters and I can honestly say that I had PNG barely hanging on to #13. I had LCM and Vidor ranked high on my list. The way I vote this early in the season is on strength of teams that have played and wins and losses. IMO, the pre-season rankings are just that because the identity of the teams are not always known. It takes several weeks until true tests are compiled from playing games. I was one that had Livingston high for pre-season and then changed once I seen them kind of flutter against Jasper. I had Dayton #2 on my list. Each pollster has his own way. Like I said by mid-season, you will see that the rankings will be a little more true to how the teams are.

 11. Most Katy football players are done after high school, not so much for players at PAM. When my wife taught at Katy HS for four years they won two state champioships and played in a third and only a handfull of D-1 signees. A good HS program with less D-1 talent ;D 8)
 12. I was playing around Lumberton about youth and middle school. Both Groves and Port Neches middle schools have alot of kids in football each year. My son was on 7th grade team last year and they had 81 kids just at Port Neches on 7th grade team. The numbers have went down this year in 8th with about 50 something, but thats at only one middle school. PNG has kids at two different schools in 8th with an A and B team. That means around 100 kids getting alot of playing time compared to alot less at Lumberton with only one middle school. It's just a thought because in middle school and youth Lumberton turns out some very tough teams.
 13.
is bertrand healthy?kid was hard to stop last yr.
Not sure, but I was at the first game and he wasn't running like he did last year.
 14. I'm eating mine right now. ;D Gregory-Portland lost to a weak Calallen team last night 21-0. GP still hasn't scored. NDNDS have some work to do before District begins for sure.
 15.
Crosby had 5 or 6 turnovers last week and was down 35-0. Then by end of 3rd qtr or so it was 42-28. Montgomery beat the heck out of a really solid 5A Spring team tonight.
Nevermind  ::)
 16.

You say PNG wasn't soft and then ya'll turn around and say that you ran it down the NDNS throat. Last week ya'll got blown out by Montgomery. I will give some credit to Crosby for playing hard, but I do think PNG D is played soft as well from what I heard on the radio. PNG couldn't stop Crosby in the second half.
PN-G is physical, but Crosby was more physical. 360+ yards on 50 carries qualifies for running it down anyone's throat.
I don't disagree with you, but if a defense gives up 360 yards on the ground then I say thier soft period. If Crosby was so stout then why couldn't they hang last week with a good team like Montgomery. I said tonight was a combination of Crosby playing good and PNG D being soft. Congrats on the win.

 18. Wow, what a game. Crosby had the momentum. PNG D sounded soft. Can't stop Crosby on several 4th down plays and then let Crosby break a long TD towards the end. NDNS will need to find some D before District. Congrats Coogs on the win.
