There has only been one "automatic qualifying" school that has won a National Championship in football that has NOT been under investigation by the NCAA. Penn State
And that's because the coach is older then the laws!!! ;D :D
 2.
I have never really understood the conference argument. I could care less about a conference. I love Texas, Florida, and Michigan and don't care what conference they are in. I just don't get why now people get so into fighting about which conference is better? Oh well SEC is hands down better now if it matters. I just don't think it does. Besides it all fluctuates through the years anyway.
It matters in arguments when the 3rd through 6 teams are put in Bowl games, or any other playoffs. It only comes up with the tsips when they began bragging about great they are. The argument has always been to put them in the SEC and just see how great they are. I like and follow teams outside of the SEC, but I get tired of the UT is great mentality. ;D Example is when an SEC football team loses one conference game compared to a Big 12 undefeated team. Who should be the one to go to the BCS Championship? Also, all of the championships I mentioned was since 1998, which was 13 years ago. How for back is considered NOW? ;D
 3.
I notice you didn't deny the out and out cheating though!! ;D :-* Oh and I would watch any SEC network before I would watch the Longhorn Network!! ;D I really love watching SEC football, but that is one dirty league!!
Nobody has been convicted of anything. If you don't think there's any money being thrown around colleges in Texas then you have your head in the sand. ;D How about all of the Longhorns in jail the last five years. Heck they have thier own wing at the county jail :D With the NFL lockout, probably every college school in America will be paying players. ;)
 4.
Hey Lazeek, we know a great QB goes for $200,000 in the SEC, what the going rate for great pitchers? ;D ;)
SEC can give you 7 national titles with 11 appearances in the title game in Baseball since 1990, 7 BCS titles since 1998, 3 titles in Basketball since 98, 11 Mens indoor track titles since 98, 7 outdoor track titles since 98, and 9 swimming titles since 98 ;D SEC rules Men's college sports period. Be happy with the Longhorn Network because that's all the Big 12 will ever have. ;)  During the same time, the Big 12 has 3 out of 6 in Baseball, 2 for Football, 1 for Basketball, 0 for Indoor Track, 3 for Outdoor track, and 4 for Swimming.  Total Dominance :-*
 5.
Raiders Bears Pirates Dogs
sorry to burst your bubble, but Lumberton might not be going to the playoffs for another 40 years. ;)
 6. Y'all too. We should win a couple of more y'all are head and shoulders over the rest of D32.
 7. Nederland beat the pants off of Port Neches 13-0 in four innings. Kemp winning pitcher with a one hitter. Good game Dogs.
 8. Port Neches will be throwing the ace Brandon Petix, not sure who for Nederland. Nederland is very solid so they will probably throw several I imagine.
 9.
Tues 6-21-11 Bridge City @ Port Arthur Nederland @ Groves Need scores tonight, winning pitchers and big hits.
BC game should be quick ;D We (PNLL) will have our hands full with Nederland. If we don't play our best game, ours might be quick as well.
 10. May depend on Doty as the preferred walk on. If he does well, Oregon might try to sneak in and get some recuits from around here (SETX). Since Oregon hardly ever gets any recruits from Texas, maybe they think they can start getting some. Who knows?
 11.
Anybody get the idea Scalp'em likes the SEC! ;D ;) Augie and Childress need to spend a little more time recruiting guys who can hit. UT and A&M are the 2 worst hitting teams in the WS.
Every year people get on here and boast about UT in all sports, I'm just putting out reality checks. Put a UT in a tough conference and they would be like any other top four to five teams in the SEC every year. ;D Just stirring the pot a little ;) I can't say too much since my Tigers were home early this year.
 12.
You give the PAC-10 too much credit.  Cal got on a roll at the right time.
Maybe so, but can you really put Big 12 over PAC-10? If it makes you feel better they are tied for third. ;D
 13. I would say the Big 12 is the 4th best baseball conference in America behind 1. SEC  2. ACC  3. PAC-10
 14. I would hope that the largest HS in Texas would be able to compete. Just saying
 15.
Is there a BMT team?
If you call it that ;D They restricted Beaumont to like the 77706 and 07 zip code I think. They haven't fared too well the first couple of seasons.
 16.

There is always a wrinkle in the rule.  Right now, West Brook is the Football school in Beaumont.  Most of the better football players will find a way to make their way to the West End.  I don't think you call that recruiting.
Has always been THE football school in Beaumont since 1982 ;D
Now you know that is pure 'BS'.  West Brook was trash durring the Al Rhabb years.  Football school?  Paleeeese!
True, I'll give you that one ;D  What did Central or Ozen do during those years? I don't remember. WB has always had problems winning in the playoffs, I'll give you that one too.
 17. Bridge City @ Groves tonight 7 PM for the 9 year old District title. BC has to win twice.
 18. Don't let anyone fool you.  I've been through the good, the bad, and the good again, of West Brook.  It was quite the opposite.  Butch's hands were in the creation of NEW HEBERT, which sent West Brook to the Friday night grave yard you speak of.  It was clear, IMO, the intent was to have Ozen be superior in athletics (football and basketball). "With all due Respect"   1) Ozen barley started making the playoffs much less stop + 2) the slow exudes that had begun combined with + 3) Stump and his QB .......=brought instant and maintained success.  And I said "With all due Respect."............LOL   Just to add I'm a huge David Green fan!!!!
That's how it was when 'Old Hebert' was opened.  Forest Park didn't win squat in nothing.....
Well, good thing, I could care less about the Forest Park era.... I'm from the South Park/West Brook era which wld be where the majority of those 'New Hebert' recruits would be coming from now a days........  ;)  Loved being around Arthur Lewis!!! Great guy!!
That's just it, you young people have the historical attention span of a gnat.  SP wasn't all that great either.  19 out of 22 starters were from Hebert the first year they opened up which helped them win state in football.  FP/SP not so much....
Johnny Norwood was a Forest Park guy, you know the All-State DB. Had to say that since he's my cousin. Went on to Alabama and then transferred to U of H and was an All American before being drafted to the NFL. ;D The funny thing is when I was at WB, we were like a family no matter what side of the tracks you were from. It's guys like you that try to make into an issue and stir things up. I too loved Coach Lewis, I think he's an AP at Ozen now.

I hope the Ags and Horns battle back, but I think the SEC teams are too strong.
Difference between the two though is that UT has been in a lose and you're done situation, the Ags haven't, so it'll definitely be interesting to see how each responds.
True, plus the Ags are hurting on pitching right now.

 22. Central, Livingston, Nederland, and PNG in no order. Ozen has too prove me wrong since every year they choke, LCM without all everything Hunter Gonzales, Vidor who knows, and Lumberton on the decline again. I haven't looked at all of the teams yet, so my opinion may change later. ;D
