Port Neches 7th Grade 42-8 over Nederland Central 7th grade

Not just one kid, WOS on defense is super fast and swarm to the ball. All I can say is you'll see on Saturday. #1 from Lumberton Red is good, but I don't think it'll be enough to beat WOS.

We've played WOS and I've watched Lumberton Red play. I think they are both really good teams, but I still think WOS wins this one. Anything can happen at this level of football, so we'll see. I'm just worried about getting past Nederland White Saturday, and then we have Lumberton Red in the last game. Brutal schedule.

We (PNG White are mostly 9's). The WOS team last year in Junior was probably the best team at this level since this league's been in existance. So what's your point? It doesn't matter till Friday nights. I've seen alot of talent and future Friday night players this year on every team. I don't think any kid is getting drafted by the NFL next year. Hey jrmdvs536, you must be the best player to ever come out of SETX ::). Oh I know, you were the one that almost went to college to play football, but you had a hang nail in HS and couldn't play. What a joke.

WOS takes this one IMO.

I think what he meant was Hunter Knox has been the bright spot in the defense and I agree. This kid is on track to be on First team All District. He's been playing lights out. There are others, I wish they would move DJ to standing up outside LB or something. It seems he's having trouble getting to the QB, and I think he's too good to not put him somewhere to show his skills. Need more practice on tackling,tackling, tackling, as well as pursuit to the ball. There's too much to put. They're just having some trouble right now. Maybe put Desmond from offense to cornerback or play a couple of kids both ways. I know BF doesn't do that, but it would make a huge difference IMO.

LCM is doing really good this year. I like the way the Gonzales kid plays and I've said that since he was a sophmore. Good luck Bears until you play my NDNS. I think the Bears and Lions are the frontrunners right now.

You'll see this Friday that we were just making observations about a Livingston team that everybody forgot about this year. It's kind of like when Dayton was in this district and ran the tables. If Central wins, then great!

I'm taking Livingston in this one, but who knows. They have no defense. Thier offense is very good, huge linemen and hard running backs that don't go down on first contact. They will pound the ball until they get close to the endzone and then a WR sneaks out and bam TD, watch for that. BUT, I still think Central is very good team and I'm one that don't put much stock in the losses to PAM and WB.

I just said on another thread that who would've thought that after next week one of the teams will be 1-4. Everybody in the triangle is smiling from ear to ear right now.

Next week, who would think the loser of that game will be 1-4. Disappointed in both mid-county teams. You know the rest of the triangle is loving it right now.

LCM is good. They might take the title this year. Livingston and LCM should be a good one.

Livingston LCM Central Toss up for 4th place

PNG defense was horrible tonight. It might be a long district. Hunter Knox plays lights out on defense, and one of the LB's but that's it. Don't know what to say, but watch out for Livingston. Great running team and some big, big linemen.

Actually it was Lumberton fan that started the topic. Any topic that's made by another team that your not a fan of usually is questioned by the other teams in the district. You won't hear me say that we played some great non-district teams. This district is wide open and hopefully we can hang with all of these undefeated teams come district time, which starts tonight against Livingston. This is going to be a tough district race this year. I feel alot of hatred from ya'll towards my NDNS ;D Scalp'em

The problem is I don't see Dr. Simmons staying around too much longer. He wanted to get enrollment up and restart the football program. Both have been done. He might not be around for very many more years. Hopefully they continue to buy up all of the land between campus and MLK. I would tear down those apartment complexes, and I think they might be able to expand that way. The problem is you have ugly scenery around the campus. ie concrete company, old warehouses, plants, falling down homes. I hope it happens and they do expand though.
