I was told that Neuman signed the waiver for the kid, but that is just a rumor that was told to me a Nederland person. Who Knows? I think we have a good OL already. I don't know what other stuff has to be done for him to play.

IMO [/quote] The probem is not having 3 divisions, its predicting to early in the season that you are one of the top 4 teams. ;) If you happen to be one of the top 4 teams but can only make playoffs as a wildcard because you lost 2 conference games then it sounds like you may only see one playoff game no matter where your seeded  :o [/quote] No actually I think we are the #2 team :o, but trying to be nice about it. We will see when we play Ned White in two weeks and then again in the last week against Lum Red. I might be wrong who knows. If we go as a wild card then great since we are mostly 9's. ;) If you don't understand the earlier statement, then you probably won't ever get it.

Also WOS plays either Nederland White or Lumberton Red coming up. These are the best four teams in Junior. Whoever comes out on top will be #2 unless WOS gets beat by one of them.

I'm sure other teams are like ours, but Port Neches Middle School has 80 kids for 7th grade football. You can't expect coaches to play all of those kids in a 7th grade game. I have three boys and my oldest is in 7th grade this year. He's probably the smallest out there with the biggest heart, but he still gives it his all. That's all I ask of him to do. There's about 1% of Texas HS players that get a free ride to college from football and I know mine won't be one of them. I just hope he learns to grow like a model citizen and became a young adult while playing a game that he LOVES. Too many daddy's wanting thier kid to be the stud player! It's MIDDLE SCHOOL. My #1 priority is his grades period.

Frisco does have more HS then Allen. It gets complicated to explain. I think the bond  was like any other election. The people that liked it voted and the one's that are now crying about it are saying they hate it.

Chippy, ya'll in Peewee or Junior this year?

guys, not trying to mess with ya'lls thread, but another side for you guys talking about middle schools. Before moving to mid-county, I grew up in the west end of Beaumont. At the time we had 7 middle schools and two highschools in the early 90's. The middle schools weren't that great, but when we got to high school, man we were awesome. My class went undefeated at WB from Freshmen through seniors before losing in the playoffs. Point is, if there's talent then the kids are going to respond by HS, and if there's a lack of talent, then Neuman will have his hands full, but he has proven himself to all in SETX that he can coach kids up. This isn't PeeWee football anymore, it's HS. Either the kids grow up or they get left behind. Have fun while it lasts, because it will be over soon. BTW, I think Nederland will be in the mix this year.

[/quote] I'll agree with you on the large margin victories, but I still think you have to throw Central, Ozen, PNG, LCM, Lumberton, Livingston in there. Nederland is hurting right now, and Vidor is REALLY hurting right now. It's a toss up, but when it's a toss up, you have to give the edge to the team that won it last year. That's all I'm saying. If Lumberton was the defending champ and all teams seemed somewhat equal starting district, I would say the same about them. It just so happens to be PNG last year.

I think all of the games will be good, I don't think any of the teams this year have solid defenses, so there could be some high scoring games. Don't think any of the teams go past the second round this year. I will say this though, PNG is till the defending district champs and have won it way more then lumberton and LCM combined. That's why we talk about district championships because were use to winning them. Who knows this year, it ought to be fun to watch
