1.
Looks like port neches in the backseat now..........everthing goes through nederland...
That's cool. ya'll played a good game and we didn't show up to play. That's part of it. Hopefully we'll get a second chance. If everything goes through Nederland then how did Groves win the 8 year old District Tourney last year? I wouldn't get too cocky. BTW, This same group spanked ya'll in youth football this past year on their way to winning the Superbowl, then turned around and beat ya'll in the Jr Mid-County Madness! Just saying
 2. I would think PNG in the top 25, but when you look at the list, their all tough. IMO 4A is turning out to be a very tough classicfication with strong 5A teams continuing to drop in enrollment along with new schools opening up. Heck you could be in the top 10 and go undefeated and then lose in the playoffs, and the end the ranking don't mean anything.

Just guessing though. That would give the SEC 16 teams.
Remember the ACC is a strong Academic Conference, maybe the strongest after the Ivy. Not sure GTech would want to join the SEC who is a poor academic conference outside of Vandy. This is one of the reasons UT has steered toward the Pac10 and not the SEC. Also many folks see Miami as a thug school due to all the issues with the Football teams over the years, but it is actually a very good school. Now FSU tends to bring down the ACC in the academic areas!
Same could be said about Texas with all of the players getting arrested in recent years ;)
 4.
WB - 48, PNG - 26......how come no PNG fans reported the score?
PNG is missing some players according to some people on their websire, but don't ask me because I don't know. Probably because they knew you would put it on here. ;D
 5. “We didn’t actually win a state championship in anything, but we almost made it to state in a lot of sports. Just saying ;) Good job though
 6.
Like we were talking about in the college football thread scalp em, that's only 15 teams. USF is a sleeping giant. (just thought I would post it here too)
::) who's counting? ;D
 7.

How long will it stay the best facility in SETX ?
Maybe he means....if the people that come to the games dont treat it's like a dump, neglect it, and run it into the ground. I would hate to see that. But who knows what will happen.
If they change the name that might not happen :o jk
 8. I was impressed with the Gonzales kid last year after watching him against the Indians. Don't know if he'll be MVP, but I think he'll turn some heads. Is he going to be a Junior or Senior this year?
 9.
I thought Baylor was about as big as Lamar? About 14000 students.
Your killing me dog, b ut your right, Students 14,769 [3]
 10.
That's only 15 teams, scalp em. I think they could take usf from the Big East. They are growing quick and getting better every year. Good fit geographically too. I think the remaining teams in the big east and acc should form together for the 4th 16 team powerhouse.
Your right, miscounted BISD education ;D That would be a strong conference, I forgot about USF.
 11.

If Big 12 dissolve, there will be little chance for LU or any FCS to move up. If the Big 12 reload, then opportunities open up.
The big 12 is not likely to reload in any form or fashion that it currently looks like now. The schools that will be left after the wake of destruction from the shakeup will get with one or two of the remaining conferences and there will likely be some additions made by the SEC, to create another "super conference" the way the Pac 10 seems to be headed. If those things happen I could see the ACC being raided, the Big East being raided while the Big 10 would add several more including Notre Dame to get to 16. Maybe three "Power Conferences" with the Pac 10, Big 10 and the SEC. Probably there would be one more big conference which would consist of the "leftovers" from the fallout of the ACC and Big East, but those schools wouldn't really have any big players in their conference. I also think the Mountain West stands to gain from all of the Big 12 stuff, they could possibly grab KU, KSU, Mizzou and try to snag Boise and all of a sudden you would have a pretty solid conference. If you had Boise, TCU, BYU, Utah, and Kansas you have five programs who played in BCS bowls inthe last 2-3 years. It will be interesting to see what shakes out.
I think the SEC will go after Miami, Florida State and Georgia Tech. Just guessing though. That would give the SEC 16 teams.
 12. I see Baylor being left out. Their school only has like 5 or 6,000 students, decent size alumni, but just don't see them being invited. They'll probably end up in the Conference USA, Sunbelt, or WAC. IMO
 13. If SEC doesn't get any Big 12 teams over, then I bet they try to take some ACC teams. My prediction would be Miami, Florida State, and Geogria Tech. That would give them 16 teams like the PAC 16. Any Thoughts or is that too far out there?
 14. I have to reply to this. Coming from a PNLL parent, I tip my hat to BCLL, they were great hosts and were very polite. They didn't make any excuses and almost all of the parents and fans from BC shook our hands outside the dugout and said good game. Thats what it's all about. Forgive us for such a celebration, but leagues don't beat BC very often. This was a huge game for us to win and the game was one of the best youth games I've seen since Groves National several years back. I'm not comparing the two teams, but just saying the excitement was the same just on a smaller level. Good luck to BC and hopefully we meet up again.
 15.
Jasper 5 West end 4 great game both sides.
wow proved me wrong.
 16. I like this guy and have for a while. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Louisiana head coach Tony Robichaux, one of the youngest head coaches in NCAA Division I history to reach 500 career victories, has been at the helm of the Ragin' Cajuns baseball program - which is arguably one of the best in the South - since 1995. Robichaux launched his head coaching career in 1987 at McNeese State. Now in his third decade as a Division I head coach, Robichaux  reached career milestone victory No. 500 with a 12-5 win over Texas-Pan American on March 2, 2002, making him one of only eight coaches in NCAA history to achieve the milestone before his 41st birthday. The other names on the list include: Ron Fraser (Miami), Mark Marquess (Stanford), Jim Morris (Miami), Ron Polk (Mississippi State), Danny Price (FIU), Bobby Winkles (Arizona State) and Pat Murphy (Arizona State). Entering the 2000 season, Robichaux was the only head coach younger than 41 years of age with at least 400 career victories. In 2001, Robichaux was listed by Baseball America as one of the top 10 coaches of a mid-major program in the nation, who were younger than 40 years of age. In the 2009 regular season finale at New Orleans, he earned his 800th career victory, joining an elite list of just 28 active NCAA Division I coaches with 800 or more lifetime wins. "All of my wins come from two mid-major programs, and that's something to be proud of," Robichaux said. "But what's important to me is that the universities get the credit. So many of my assistant coaches and players got me to where I am."
 17. That Jasper group is very good if they were the one's that were the Southeast Texas Gators. The teams in that district won't compete with them, they're that good.
 18. Kids change from little league to high school and if the kids that aren't making all stars are the better players then they will prevail come high school time.
 19.
Speaking of bandwagoners, where were the tiger fans prior to Saban? Oh yeah, they were all wearing Florida State gear. Yes, it makes sense that this area has more Texas fans than LSU fans seeing how this is Texas. And LSU only parties better than Texas because it is normal and acceptable for people to be drunk and act like a bunch of JAs in Louisiana.  ;D ;D Personally I'd prefer to hang out in Austin than go to the trash dump known as Baton Rouge. [/quote You must not go to Austin very often, there's a reason why there's shirts made that say "keep Austin weird".
 20. speaking of bandwagons, you use to never see people wearing Texas stuff in this area until Texas began to have some decent teams. The funny thing is we're closer to LSU than UT, but yet people all ways pulls for Texas. I think it's funny. That's ok we party better than tu :D
 21. IF tu can get past TCU. TCU might give the horns a run for their money
 22. Super Regionals 5 SEC teams, 4 ACC Teams, oh and 2 Big 12 teams. I rest my case. SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC
 23.
Yep, the reigning national champs didn't make Super Regionals. You have to keep rolling those SEC teams around in every sport to end up playing Texas. I rest my case.  ;D
Heck when you play in a conference like the SEC you beat each other up. texas had a break since they didn't win a game in the Big 12 Tourney so they were rested. Did I tell you I hate Texas ;D
