If I remember West End a couple years ago went to sectionals. West End has always had good all star teams, but I don't live there so I'm on the outside looking in.

We'll be back next year, heck put LSU in a regional like the Horns had and we would be in Omaha even with a year like this one ;)

Congrats Cards on a good season. I'm proud of the Baylor game on the way that LU competed. Nothing to be ashamed about on the second game.

There are a couple of us on here that's been talking about this all year and get bashed for it. You can't settle for #7 seed in a weak conference tourney get hot and say atleast we got to the regionals. Heck atleast compete at regionals and I would be happy even if they lost the first two. LU needs to look deep and hard in the off season. Schedule the big boys and if you have to go there and play. It will pay off in the end. Also, where do you think the pro scouts go watch, UT,LSU,top baseball teams, or LU ? Play the big boys and you get two for one, exposure for your players and experience and knowledge of how to approach the tough teams come regional time.

What's all of the talk about between two communities? It was a baseball series that Friendswood won 2 out of 3. Congrats Friendswood, really don't think ya'll stack up well against Brenham, but hey you beat us. Can we move on now?BTW, Can ya'll loan me some of that money ya'll have?jk

I thought it was strange that LSU gets sent all the way to the west coast UCLA regional, but I talked to a ESPN guy that told me that Texas didn't want no part of LSU even in a down year. They said that since Texas is used to playing cup cake teams and in a cup cake conference that they would rather play cup cake teams in the regional. Congrats on your cup cake walk to the super regionals. ;D

Even in an off year LSU takes Texas down. Heck Texas couldn't even win the Big 12 Tournament. In fact, Texas has trouble winning the big game in all sports.

Yep, but now I'm a NDN fan. Brook at heart though, good memories, and Leland was a beast. We just had a really good defense.

I remember playing against him in the Beaumont Bowl. He was the only reason that Central hung with us. I can say with happiness that we shut him down on 4 downs inside the 5 yard line to seal the win ;D One of the most incredible high school players I played against. Good Job and Congrats.

I would say above Jasper east of I45 and south of Oklahoma. East Texas has some great talent, but I don't think anyone in SE Texas is scared to play them. I can speak for PNG when I say schedule the game and we'll play. Actually it's up to the coach :D

I've been with you Baseball25 all year long. I guess we're in the same boat. I notice not as many people coming on here to take up for Gilligan as earlier in the year. Does anybody know if Gilligan would step down or would it have to forcible type of thing? I would almost bet a check that Tubbs would never run Gilligan off, so I imagine we're stuck with Gilligan until he feels it's time to go. By then Lamar will be at the bottom of the conference in Baseball because the excitement will be focused on football. Let's watch and see if my prediction is right.

I agree, they all four are very close. Texas is playing crazy right now and their the hot team. This is going to be a good World Series year. Hopefully my Tigers pull their head out and start playing some baseball.
