I don't know if LU can beat teams like Nicholls State, NWS, Texas State, and a couple of others in the conference. Thats why I picked them third in the East side of the conference. Hopefully they turn it around, there's still alot of baseball left.

I understand westlinder, but when was the last time that LU snook up on anybody. It's been a while. I just think it would help them and area fans to get some bigger names in here. They use to do it, but then the last decade nada.

Your not going to hear alot of people talk about Gilligan because recently he has began recruiting alot of local talent. If you look at the early 90's through about 2000, you couldn't hardly find anyone from this area on the team. As long as he contiues to recruit heavy in this area, it won't matter if they ever go to the post season.

I agree with baseball25. Coach Gilligan is a good coach, but if you look at the past 5 years, LU plays a couple of tough teams and thats it. Need to step up the strength of schedule to where if you don't win SLC tourney maybe you could get an automatic bid. It's been a while. I'm guessing on this, but I think I'm close, but home game attendance average 300 to 600, when LU should be drawing 1500 to 2500 at home games. Bring the big name schools and fans will go. JMO

You know the same could be said about Gilligan. The baseball team hasn't been to NCAA postseason in a while.

They do play Rice, but I would love to see them play some SEC teams at home as well as some Big 12, and even PAC 10 teams.

I think it's time for a change. Two years in a row you don't make the SLC tourny, that's horrible. He's had four years to improve the program, and I don't see any improvement. Actually it appears it's declining. Atleast we have a decent baseball team and football is coming. I like coach Roc, but it's time to go.

No doubt he's good. I enjoyed watching him all season and expect him to do great things as he gets older. Atleast this year, he was in a league of his own, but it will get harder as the other kids get more mature, stronger, and faster in the future. Good luck and hopefully he's on our team again next year.

PNG was up by 16 points and continued to shoot up 3's and began missing. Don't understand why they didn't go to the goal being up by that many points. I know they missed like 3 three's in a row that Ned scored off the rebound. PNG gave the game to Ned, late Christmas present.

[/quote] It was 91 football season with McElroy because I was on the 91 West Brook team that should've won state( I know everybody says the same thing about their team). We beat people bad throughout the season and then had a thriller Beaumont Bowl game where we had a 4 down goal line stance inside the 5 yard line to win the game. We were ranked #4 in state, and rumors had people picking us to go all the way. James Brown and Frank Middleton were juniors on the team. Our team was loaded that year and had the talent to go all the way. It doesn't mean anything if you go 10-0 in regular season and at the top of the rankings in offense and defense if you lose the first playoff game. Aldine MacArthur beat us in Pasadena and everybody was shocked. Oh well, I have three boys so hopefully once they get in HS one of them will get a chance to get one.

So if you go back to 1990, 20 years ago this area only has like state champs in all classicifcations. That's horrible!!! The 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's this area was good, just too many schools in the state to compete with, not to mention our declining population in the golden triangle. BTW, I was in 5th grade at Price Elem in BMT when French tied OP, and 3rd grade when WB won state ;D
