Silsbee's lack of coaching will expose itself in the playoffs. Right now they are getting by on talent alone.

Anyone can tell me what this young lady is up to now that her junior college career is over? I remember her being very talented and was curious as to what was next.

I hope Stump had a conversation at the end of the game with XBox warning him about the dangers of nepotism at the QB position. Looks like Stump learned his lesson and has Baby Stump playing receiver.

Coach Harris was the offensive coordinator at Huntsville a few years before HF. At Huntsville got outcoached in a second round playoff game by those jokers on the previous staff at BEAUMONT CENTRAL. I have little faith in him as a head coach for that reason alone.

I have noticed how college football teams are starting to hire a bunch of "football analysts" to help with film, scouting and player development but not to be on field coaches or recruiters. Here is one instance today, of Texas hiring Greg Robinson for one of those positions: [Hidden Content] . NCAA rules limit the number of on field coaches/recruiters. My question is, what about at the high school level? Would any rules block teams booster clubs from raising money to hire football analysts with the blessing of the school's head coach/AD? Texas UIL mandates that all football coaches must be full time district employees. But I doubt there is anything about somebody providing a service to the football coaches and program- just like a team photographer or a film software vendor. Let's say PN-G wanted to hire a retired coach like Dan Hooks as a "football analyst" the week of the Nederland game to look at tape and offer some insight into Neumann's tendencies? Would there be anything against that. But lets take it a step further. What if a team wanted to hire a talented player's dad as a "football analyst?" This won't apply to a lot of schools but some of the larger schools with some booster club money might be able to exploit this at the high school level and get help for their football teams.

I thought Sweeny underperformed this year. They were ranked No. 1 most of the year and had a player get drafted but lost out pretty early in the playoffs to a BC team that - lets face it- was not as talented as some of the teams they've had in the past.

Great news! Son of former San Jac/Lamar player who I think was drafted by KC Royals.

I thought state tourney games used to be Thursday not Wednesday. Is this the case or am I senile? AAW why did things change ??

I'm not naming names but saying in addition to several likely spots on the 21-3A all-district team there is also someone from Silsbee on the all-district 20-4A First team! So as you can see there is a lot of baseball talent in the town of Silsbee.

Congratulations to the Tigers on making it to state! Also kind of interesting considering one of the best baseball players in the city plays for another high school  :)

Are her daughters going with her? I heard they were going to be good.

I am not talking about the good years under Credeur. They went from spread and I to just the I and then from the I to the Wing-T in a three year timespan. from 2010-2012

I'm guessing the defense will take a step back but at least offensively Haynes will be consistent. Lumberton probably switched up the offense too much under the previous coach and that is hard for high school kids.

What is Foreman's staff looking like? Who are the coordinators and top assistants?
