  1. Thank you 3A BirdMan for making my point. You acknowleded that you stayed but you aso know that the majority of your fans left. Hey, since you're not doing anything around November 17 why don't you go and support WOS, Kirbyville or Silsbee in their first round play-off game.
  2. Kirbyville must be doing something right. Punting or no punting. Nobody gave them a chance AGAIN this year.
  3. The Wildcats kicked the extra point to make it 27 to 12 with 2:30 left and The Big Red fans scattered like roaches when the lights come on! Front Runners? No faith? Embarassed by losing to one of the smallest 3A's in Texas that had 9 two-way starters? Ashamed that your Mighty Big Red lost to a bunch of sophomores and juniors with a sprinkle of seniors? What a poor message you sent to your players. Would you have left if it was the other way around? No! You would have stayed! Bunch of Weak Front Runners! Your JV did put it to our freshmen team though. So congrats on that. Yogi Berra would have said, "Bridge City would have won, if Kirbyville hadn't beaten 'em!"
  4. Pierce Rhodes - Kirbyville Wildcats Junior - RB/LB & Special Teams 29 Carries for 266 Yards and 3 TDs vs. Bridge City 1 Catch for six yards 5 Tackles, 6 Assists, 1 Tackle for Loss, 2 Special Teams Tackles He's an Iron Man! Three way starter: Offensive, Defense, Special Teams! He does it all! He has now rushed for 1,175 yards and 19 TDs! Over 1,500 yards total offense. Has scored 3 other TDs receiving. Has also thrown for a TD and has six 2-point conversions! He was by far the best player on the field last Friday night!
  5. People say he's got a banged up ankle. Rumor has it he had another medical problem this week. This kid is incredible on highlights and also from what I hear. I plan on going to watch him play tonight for the first time. What can I expect? Is he 100% or does that even matter? Can he play on a sloppy field? Is he going to play football at LSU also or just baseball?
  6. You're about to see the Kirbyville JV's Top Players tonight. One is starting at QB, one at receiver, one as the second fullback, one as the starting LB, one starting at DE, one starting at corner, one starting at kicker, one playing at DT and many other JV type players that play. On a normal year, all of those players above would be on JV but because of lack of numbers (one of the smallest 3A's in Texas) these kids are forced to play up on Varsity. So with that in mind, the future looks very bright for the Wildcats. So please realize that the Wildcats are 5 and 2 with a majority of JV type players. It's amazing that Kirbyville can compete and win against all of these Wal-Mart and Super Wal-Mart cities. Heck, all Kirbyville has is Dollar General.
  7. Dangit! I was looking forward to traveling to watch EC-Buna JV knock heads tonight! Guess I'll stay home and watch "My Name is Earl."
  8. Kirbyville's Aaron Hazlewood - QB/Sophomore He's not the best QB but definitely qualifies as a top newcomer of the year. Check out this rookie QB's numbers and remember he is only a sophomore and this if his first year to play Varsity football: *Note: He has only played in six games (5 and 1 as a starter) because he's wasn't medically cleared to play against WOS after a low-class belly to back brain slam from a Jasper DL that knocked him out cold. 39 for 68 for 970 yards 57% Completion Rate 160 yds/game 5 TD Passes 1 TD Rushing 5 ints.

  13. What about the mom who jumped the fence and grabbed and yelled at a Kirbyville assisant coach on the sideline during the Orangefield game because the coach took her son out of the game?
