That is almost like a TRANSPLANT comment. Larry Neauman is good at one thing. Winning District games. He has made Nederland above average versus a doormat in the district. With PAM in 5A, your not going to see the athletes from PA like you have the last 10 years. Pressure on PN-G, is because we have won multiple State Championships, Multiple District Championships, and so on. Do not make yourself think Nederland is some type of powerhouse. The bandwagon over your way is just happy because over the Neauman era, Nederland has finally become a winner. And by no means is Nederland some pressure built team that goes deep in the playoffs... Matter of fact, PN-G has gone further in the playoffs, than Nederland has in the LN era. And yes, Nederland has been tested, only because. of LN and a horrible move to play a PAM kid...... So do not for one second, think anyone cares about poor Ole Nederland..... Injuries are part of football. Deal with it..... Your right, only the strong survive... And PN-G has been surviving and winning for a long time. SO believe this.... At the end of the day, Its game on................ So let me ask you this... Who do you BLAME for nothing but MEDIOCRITY is the history of Nederland Football???????????????????
Asking for a friend... LOL
So if Nederland is mediocre and has beaten PN-G 6 straight and dominated the series with Neumann at the helm, then PN-G is what? Fill in the blank.

lol wasn't ignoring them forgot their names, as I said they torched us but you act like it was a runaway ballgame, you won by 3 , granted a win is a win. I keep hearing about NED starting a Freshman QB I hope they do, he will find out pitching a baseball is a lot different than having pads laying into him! We have something that we didn't really have last year and that is speed. Riggs adds a dimension we didn't have last year along with Hughes and RJ. Shug may not be the prolific passer that Morse was but he does do a better job of not turning over the ball. He has had a few hiccups but for the most part has gotten the job done in all aspects of being the QB. WE shall see, just a matter of hours now.
Maybe torched was the wrong word. Wasn't implying that the game was a blowout. Far from it. A last second FG. The game is typically close. My point is that the winning team usually has an unsung hero that has their best game of the year. Last year for us was Leleux and Fisher. I can't remember for sure, but I think yalls 3rd receiver McGough had a big game for y'all. I remember big performances in the past in games we won, like Jude Vidrine, Trevin Sonnier, Colin Weber just to name a few. I'm sure y'all have had a lot of those, too. The coaches do a good job of trying to shut down the other teams main guys and with the intensity and adrenaline it seems like an unexpected kid for either team is often the difference. PN-G once again enters as the favorite and we will know by 11pm if they got it done this year. I'd be willing to bet that there is a big play made by someone for either team that is not necessarily a household name.

For Indians to win we must contain Simmons and Perkins, minimize turnovers and capitalize on their miscues plus play penalty free football. AS NED faithful say who hasn't run for 100 yards on PNG, Who cares how many this year have beaten PNG by running over 100 yards this year, that's right just 1. NED can get a 100 yards rushing still wont win! They will have to throw the ball also.
Please ignore Leleux and Fisher again. The main two guys that torched the Indians last year. This game always brings out unsung heroes for the winning team it seems.

Not a lot of smack coming from either side. Has a weird feel in the air about the game this year. Everyone knows PNG has the better team, hands down, but there is just something about the game this year that has the PNG faithful a little nervous!!
Teams are very equal in my opinion other than the QB position. If Ned QB can make the throws when he needs them then Ned could be in a position to win it at the end.

There is more trash talk over whether it is the best rivalry more than there is trash talk over the game.
I think I know why... Ned fans aren't talking trash because we know we are the underdogs. PN-G fans aren't talking trash cause they've lost 6 straight in the series and were favored in at least 3 of those ball games. MCM... anything can happen.

For such a huge rivaly, I expected a lot more trash talk on here. Heck the most I believe we have seen all year was the PAM and Lumberton game, other than that, its kind of dry on here. Can't take it actually. Come on DAWGS bear those TEETH. Where yall at?
Our real rival is Vidor. Everyone knows that.

Let's break down by position:
QB- edge PNG(big)
RB- edge Ned
WR- even(maybe slight PNG edge due to QB)
OLine- edge Ned
DLine- even
LB- edge PNG
Secondary- edge Ned
Special Teams- ???
Coaching- edge Ned
Should be a good game...

Man lumberton was giving Nederland a fit. Vidor gave you a fit and won. Hmmm I don't want to say it but looks like a trend to me.. INDIANS are going to give you a fit this year!!
This is gonna be a good game. Like it or not. Against common opponents, PNG has a 255-139 score and Ned has a 230-137 score. That's pretty comparable. None of that matters though on Friday night.

Odd. Why would Jeff want to play Crosby on a Thursday? Scene of the last crime and couldn't get Saturday?
It was in a Thurs last time vs Crosby at LU , too...

Two bad teams. Hard to bet on either one. Neither team has shown much consistency.

True.. but Ozen's D is only effective a quarter. they fizzle out late in games...
Held Ned and PNG to 28 each. Livingston gave up 50 to both. Didn't Central hang 50 on the Lions too?

They (Ozen) barely beat Lee and Livingston is better than Lee.
Livingston better on O. Ozen much better on D. Should be a close game.

I'm liking Ned's chances of making playoffs. Ozen has a much better D than Livingston does. Wish the game was in Beaumont instead of Livingston though.

Dogs strollin in next Friday and we don't need a RESERVATION!

Enjoyed watching him for 4 years! He was special even as a freshman! Great career and well deserved recognition. Congrats to this young man.
