1. I will wager Butchers Corner that Vidor isn't in the top 4...
 2. I talked to a former coach on the staff a few weeks ago and he indicated that Mayfield was the front runner last he had heard. Also said the offense would be more similar to what we ran with Sage Seay at QB if that was the case. We are deep at WR and RB and you even forgot to mention the very talented Leleux who played fullback last year and was our 2nd leading rusher behind Krautz! Ned has a big experienced OLine and will be just fine regardless of who the QB is. I think it'll be Mayfield and I think he will have a very good season. Also, remember this name ... Wistner... I think he will shine on defense for the Dogs this season. Played quite a bit as a soph last year and brings a ton of intensity!
 3. I think it's a very tough first game of the season for BOTH teams and each will be better and tested after playing. All the chest bumping is pointless. It's a pre-district game between two teams that are very likely to make the playoffs. The team that executes the best and makes the fewest mistakes will most likely win. I hope it's a great game without injuries. I will be making the short trip!

Who did they play and how did they look?
1st scrimmage Crosby  4 TD's Allen      0 2nd scrimmage Crosby            5 TD's Denton Guyer  0
Well played, my friend.. Well played.
 5.

Our offense will definitely keep our defense on the bench a lot more this year, we can grind it out or strike really fast, the cougars will find this out Friday night......Dogs 38-17
When has Ned ever struck fast or had a high powered offense? Now with a first year starter at qb Ned is going to be high powered? First of all Ned's running attack which is the lifeblood of their offense was greatly helped along by a good o-line. With the departure of guys like Pryor Ned's line is going to be hard pressed for improvement over what it was last year. Even still it took 46 team carries to get over the 200 yard mark on our D which should be a lot better this year. Raines made some good veteran plays last year like you would expect a three year starter to but I'm expecting some growing pains the new qb's first start, especially on the road.
I just now watched the first half of last years game again. Pryor played one play on offense and that was from the jumbo package on the 1 yard line.

 7. I think this will be a good ball game. The twins have speed and that might be our Achilles Heel this year. Nederlands offense is much improved this season. I say first team to 30 wins it. Looking forward to it! I will take the Dogs in a tight one, but I don't see a blowout for either team.
 8. Great job, Jags! District 20-4A has done quite well in the early season scrimmages!
 9. PNG by 14. Indians have played well in both scrimmages. Tigers have talent but have sounded a little flat in both. Game is at the Reservation and Tribe has a long win streak vs. Silsbee.
 10. Seems like he would make a great FB, TE, LB, or S. Surely they won't let him sit the bench all year.
 11. Nederland over Crosby. According to cougar14 we should just stay home since they beat us twice when we had 5-5 or worse seasons.
 12. I still think Dayton will be fine. Nederland was able to exploit a few matchup advantages and used those all night long. No need to panic, it's just a scrimmage.
 13. TD Dayton. Fumble recovery and long TD return. Kid had some speed. 45/13 Ned
that's either kyle or brandon mcbride
He's moved the ball the best. Quick and elusive.

 16. 45/6. Long run for Hopkins. DeShawn just drilled a guy. Hope he is ok.
 17. The running QB is much more effective for Dayton. He's quick. Who is he?
