1. Ozen split with Central.. Who was their other district win against?
2. PN-G has a football team? I thought they were a BASKETBALL school? I'm only kidding, my purple friends..
3. Hate to lose this kid. He played some this season in a rotational role as a Soph. I think he will be a very good one by the time he's a senior.
4. What D2 schools has LU lost to? I would like to see some of these guys get a shot, but is recruiting local guys that nobody else is recruiting the answer? The guys you mentioned were great HS players and I'd love to see them get a fair shot. But, LU is not the only team to show little interest.
5. It was a fun ride! We could tell he would be a special player as a soph. He had a great career! Best of luck at the next level!
6. You had an amazing career at Nederland. I remember as a soph we saw glimpses of how good you would become. You got better and better each year and always represented NHS with class! It was a fun ride. What schools are on your list? Best of luck at the next level!
7.
3 min in 2nd: Ned up 30-12
Are the Pirates running the Slot T?
8. I think they will battle for the final playoff spot, but I am going with Nederland, Central, Vidor, and Ozen. The freshman class this year  for PNG is very solid, but it is hard to depend on sophs.
9. 1. Nederland - lots returning on both sides of the ball. 2. Central - impressed with the young QB and has some talent around him 3. Vidor - they graduate a lot, but Matthews has built a program 4. Ozen - they always find a way to get in recently, I like the new QB 5. LC-M - talented QB and some WRs return 5. PN-G - Rose will have a huge year, but no D= no playoffs. Fresh class good but not yet.. 5. Livingston - don't know much about them, but always speedy 8. Lumberton - good frosh class, but hard to depend on youngsters
10.
Is it true G-Town may be missing 5 of its players for this weekend's game?
If so that would reduce their roster to only 75 players lol. Where is the game this week and when?
11.
One play changed the game in the first half, that pick-6 off that bubble screen. in the 2nd half: The first PF call on NED in the 3rd qtr pretty much sealed it IMO, lost composure when the game wasnt over yet, G'Town took advantage. Raines was off tonight, dont know what that was all about. Why wasnt Hopkins playing most of the 1st qtr also?  Defense IMO got tired after the 1st qtr, they were getting to #10 but after the GTown oline started blocking better he was picking that secondary apart. For NED next year you guys better get your depth issues right, not saying it was an excuse for losing tonight but i sure didnt see anyone from GTown getting tired, saw alot of subbing in & out by them, they were pretty fresh. GT looked like a team destined for a State Title, once again congrats to them and also to NED on yet another great season.
Agree wholeheartedly on the pick 6. Most important play of the game in my eyes. Ned D was great in 1st q, but got wore down because they were on the field a lot because the offense was struggling against a good Eagle D. I think it was obvious that Hopkins was not 100 percent today but he is a gamer and did not want to come out. Great season by Ned, I agree.
12. Congrats! You guys have a great team. That QB is excellent and the Defense is very underrated. The better team definitely won this game. This was not one of Nederlands better performances, but the Eagles D had a lot to do with that. Good luck in the next game(s). A huge congrats to all the 2012 Dogs. It was a great run and a fun ride! Hold your heads up high!
13.
3 plays i could watch all day...1.) Hopkins stiff arm at 0:50, 2.) Washington's monster hit at 2:15, and of course the one that sealed the deal
What about the 2 huge catches by Kimler?
I think Georgetown is a lot better than Dawson
And you can pick against the Dogs for the 14th straight week! Law of averages... LOL
