  1. Thoughts so far:

    1. Central D is good. Good pass rush and our WRs aren't open.

    2. Ned needs to establish the run first drive on 2nd half.

    3. Ned fake punt from the 50 was dumb.

    4. Great play call and execution by Central on the TD pass.

    5. Bad play calling of 3 passes by Central from midfield with 3 mins left. Give it to that big back!!

    6. Why did Central go for 2? That could haunt you.

    7. Ned D ain't as bad as everyone thinks.

    8. 4 missed tackles on the 85 yard TD return on KO. Gotta clean that up.

    9. Ned needs to score first drive 2h.

    10. Two good football teams. Athlete edge: Central Coaching Edge: Ned

looking forward to the 2nd half!

  2. It's quite simple, Ford.  This would be the game that makes Bulldog nation the most nervous...  We have the athletes to make life a living heck for them and we have the defense that can and will hold their one man wrecking crew in check.

why would the Dogs be nervous? We are 22 point underdogs according to Jaguar Nation... Seems to me that we have nothing to lose. We were supposed to lose by at least 4 TD last year in this game so glad to see we are getting more respect...

  3. Central will win this one, a little more will open up in the playbook -- and the 4 soph(s)  that start on defense or making less errors, Bulldogs are always well coach but Central will be the faster and more athletic team they have face all year, if central don't have more then 2 To's  -- its done for the bulldogs -- Png thank us later. lol

    Chs 35  -Bulldogs 14

Jags will bring some WOOD with that defense - have your ice on hand

So, the Jags are faster and more athletic than Crosby? I beg to differ.

  4. Central left TD's on the field vs. Lumberton.  Also, Nederland allowed major yards vs their last 2 district opponents Ozen and Vidor and barely won.  My point is we'll score a lot of points.  and our defense have been playing so well, Nederland won't be scoring many points.  At least not as many as the last 2 outings.  If there is no home cooking, I see it playing out like this...

    Central - 42

    Nederland - 20

I will take Ned +22 at home. LMAO. You guys never learn....

  5. LOL!  But stats will get one an early exit in the playoffs.   502 yards...  But, stats did matter against QUALITY teams like Dayton and Crosby.   No comparison between those teams and teams in this district...

Can someone tell me how to get to the nearest gas station? How many centimeters away is it?

I've said all year that our D needs work, but we've allowed 25 and 30 points to two pretty good offenses( one of which scored 83 points last night). If we hold teams under 30, we have a pretty good chance to win even on s night when the offense isn't clicking on all cylinders.

P.S. The defense also scored last night and created FOUR turnovers.

  6. We lost to both teams, but I say Crosby wins by 14 plus. Crosby was far superior to us in the first game of the year. We were able to keep it close thru 3 quarters with solid defense. The Dayton game was a tale of two halves. We could not tackle Shaq Long. Long, Moore and Styner are solid, but Grace, Williams, all those WRs are too much to handle. Huge edge to Crosby on defense and the kicking game as well. Very well coached aggressive team with really good talent.

    Crosby 41

    Dayton 23

  7.   Actually I  don't think they was no worst then Ned coordinators on a few play calls. Vidor like I said has a scheme that's hard to figure, and Ned has a offense that has a lot of weapons. You get a gamble play and some games it plays in favor, and sometimes they don't. Robanadana you hard on DC coach, but it was a offensive turnover that actually cost the game.
Tavian had a nice game. Great 1 handed catch and a cool 2 point conversion. He's always solid on D, too.

  8. My takeaways from the game:

    1. Both defenses need A LOT of work.

    2. LeBaron played outstanding in the first half.

    3. The officials were clueless all night both ways.

    4. Shaq Long played his heart out and was the difference.

    5. Nederland dropped way to many passes. I counted at least 5.

    6. Austin Krautz is a hoss. We should have given him the ball more at the end instead of forcing passes.

    7. Dayton showed a ton of resiliency and heart to come from behind in a game that they frequently trailed by 2 scores.

    8. Both teams had way too many dumb penalties.

    9. Both teams better improve big time on defense if they want to make playoff runs.

    10. Nederland special teams needs more work.

All in all a fun game to watch. Ned looked really good first half and Dayton looked really good second half. Two teams with totally different styles that will be a tough out every week. Good luck the rest of the way, Broncos.
