You are correct in that...I remember a game against Lumberton 2 years ago where he pulled the starters for the entire 2nd half and never attempted one pass in the second half...hopefully, this game gives Nederland a chance to go at it hard for a half and then play everyone in the 2nd half and rest some lingering injuries...not saying that is what will happen, just that it would be nice...too much at stake to take anyone for granted
I remember this game. We took a knee at the Lumberton 10 yd line to end the first half. It was either 28-0 or 35-0 at the time. Michael had quite a first half from what I remember... -
Sorry to get off the original topic but was that summer rumor of a QB transfer from the Houston (?) area true?...if so what class is he?
Mitchell LeBaron. He is the kid that threw the pass on the flea flicker against Central. -
If this game is as exciting and nerve racking as the last 2, Faircloth won't have any hair left...But the REAL question is: To wear the gray, or not wear the gray?
FYI: I like the gray look, a lot. Not that I'm from PNG or it has anything to do with traditional colors etc....I just like it!
I'm only kidding by the way... -
PNG will enter as the favorite, again...

With two huge emotional wins over the past two weeks, Big Ned has a short turnaround for a Thursday road game at Stallworth and are in an obvious "letdown" spot. I hope we come out with intensity and put this game away early. What's your prediction on this game?
I will go with the Dogs 38-14 and hopefully some playing time in the 4th quarter for guys we don't see much. -
PNG 47
Ozen 27 -
This game won't be all that close in my opinion. Vidor D will have a tough time stopping the Central O.
-
Time to shake this off and get ready for Ozen. Then Central....tough road ahead, our boys need to get back to focus. Good luck Nederland, As always I go back to rooting for the Dog's after this game....BTW, has Sage got any looks from Div I?
Verbally committed to McNeese St... -
Neumann showed once again that he is by far the best coach around.. Kind of a shame to say it, but he might be better than Hooks. Dan was always loaded with crazy talent, Neumann tends to win and adjust to whatever talent he has.. Seay showed tonight why he is the best QB in the district. I would tend to think after getting momentum for the first time in the night that a ONSIDE kick is extremely bonehead.. But the BF lovers will soon forget about that. It seems PNG fans are fine with losing to Nederland year in year out. But as long as we make it to the playoffs all is forgotten. I laugh because every year you hear wait till those sophomores get up there, or wit till those freshman get up there... Guess what?? It's the same result.. However I will say congrats to Nederland. Class act.... I will also say as I watched the final minutes from the fence, I'm ashamed to see the student section throwing all kinds of stuff on the field in defeat... The faculty and principles where out trying to clean the mess up ? That's from my own eyes.. So people posting about how that didn't happen open up your eyes... It did happen and it's a shame....... 4 undefeated DC in a row is a great feat. Hopefully in the future PNG can step up and win one... Until then Nederland fans if I where you I would enjoy the next year and talk all the trash you want because honestly...... You deserve it...
Classy post. It was a helluva game. Hats off to the Indians as well. I never felt like we had that game in hand. As for the students, I think both sets of kids have done things thru the years that the community isn't proud of. This is by far the greatest high school sports rivalry in the state!- #1 NDNFAN and goldenlady

I think the Pirates will score some points, but Jacquet and Whaley will run through that D like a hot knife thru butter. Jags win 49-27

It was a great game! Indians played their hearts out and I thought both teams were classy tonight. Faircloth called an aggressive game and it bit him IMO. Neumann was more conservative and I thought Ned was tougher overall. Great football game. Ned won the Xs and Os, but I'm not sure the "Jimmy and Joe" difference was as much as many prognosticators thought. Seay and Krautz are as good as anyone on the PNG roster in my opinion. Sparks and Morse are great, too. Awesome game and awesome atmosphere!

Let's hear how png is going to win state now , good job Ned
Because we beat PNG? Please... We do that every year. -
Great play and coaching from Nederland. I am not sure why Faircloth spent the first half trying to reinvent the offense, but whatever. Halfin haf two or three carries in the first half. Ned was the better team tonight. Poor job by the Indian students as well tossing all the empty baby powder bottles, etc. on the track and field.
At least you drive a Dart...
