Dayton by 10. BH beating up on 4A teams in pre-district won't have them ready. Crosby's speed bothered them. Dayton is fast, too.

I think the potential is there for our team, but some of the stats that are being boasted are actually not that impressive once under the microscope. We did play a good game against Crosby minus the 3rd quarter and faced some adversity when Seay cramped. I was proud of what I saw that night. Crosby is the only legit team we have played so far. I keep hearing "over 400 yards vs. Dayton." Well, their other 2 opponents have gone for over 600 each against them and scored in the 60's, we had 22 which is only 2 more points than we had penalties. Clear Lake had a couple freakishly talented kids, but as a whole their team looked like an unorganized mess in my opinion. We could only muster 13 points on them and left 20 points on the field in just the first half alone. That was an embarrassing loss, probably the weakest team to beat us in as long as I can remember. We have to shore up our tackling, the penalties, and finish off drives. Period. Otherwise, we will be LUCKY to get 4th in district. It's gut check time. This team can go one of two directions, either rise above the adversity or mail it in. I'm betting on Neumann and his staff to do some tweaking in the next two weeks and some motivating and hopefully see a great improvement to open district against a Vidor team that is always amped when the Bulldogs come to town. Every game from here on out will be a dogfight. Nobody cares what we've done the last 3 years. It's now or never. I really want to see this team improve. I know that we can with the right attitude. Go Dogs!

And Robert Mitchell came in for a series at the LU game and drove them down the field and capped it off with a 20 yard TD run.

Crosby was better than us, I took that loss in stride. We played well in that one if you exclude the 3rd quarter. We laid an egg against a very average Dayton team. Last night, we played even sloppier against the weakest team on our schedule so far. I don't put huge stock in pre-district games, but I'd like to see us improving and finishing off drives. 0-3 ain't fun for anybody!

I'm as big a fan as anyone of the Dogs and I HOPE you are right.

I'd like to see Leon in some goal line packages inside the 5 kinda like we used Malveaux and DeShawn last year. I'd like to see him with the ball in his hands, he'd be a load to deal with!

We have played one solid half of football all year and that was vs. Crosby.

Is it illegal to throw the ball to #13 that they give a 12 yard cushion to every play? I just THOUGHT I was frustrated first half...

I count 20 points. 2 missed FG. A fumble inside the 2 and an errant pass to a wide open WR in end zone. Would like to see a change from this offense.

I see the top 4 teams going to the playoffs, and going home in the first round. Everything east of I 59 looks weak against the rest of the state.

4 turnovers and 179 yards in penalties? Unreal! Also, it did not seem like we threw for over 300 yards and they only threw for 125. Are those stats backwards?!

Having seen and lost to both, Dayton vs Crosby will be a good game. Where is the game at? We played much better against Crosby, but were as sloppy as I can remember in quite a while tonight.

To my Dogs: Better step it up a notch. We miss Seay at WR and Safety in my opinion. Too many penalties, too many drops, lots of missed tackles, and not much discipline. I think there might be some changes coming on both sides of the ball...

All teams cheat when they play Vidor. It's not fair that the other teams throw passes and Vidor doesn't! I'm just kidding by the way, so don't take it serious. LOL

If you ever get a chance, go there at lunch on a Thursday and ask for the "Super Duper Special." It's a Cajun Sausage Sandwich with Swiss cheese on Jalapeño bun. That place is a few doors down from my office and I eat there once a week.

While in Ned you Dayt folks should try the Butcher Shop on Boston Ave.(not far from Bulldog stadium)to eat.I eat there quite often=great food & best smoked sausage I've had in the meat case to take home.I've tried 4 types w/Cajun link a fav ;) ;)
