Touché! But our FG kicker had just as many hits against Brown as the entire BH team did in last years playoff game! And a lot less strikeouts! -

Nederland split with Ozen and Central and looks as though they will finish atop the district tied with Central and a game ahead of your Panthers. If they are so bad, then what does that say about Ozen who finished second behind them? -
Good job, Lazeek! Lil zekey will never forget it. My dad took me to Vegas many moons ago to see LU face top 25 UNLV and JR Rider. I will never forget it. Mike Newell was coach and I think we lost 100-75, but it was lots of fun at the Thomas and Mack center seeing the Shark!

LU is on a roll after winning at Rice. LU by 4 tonight! Just kidding. Hopefully, we can keep it respectable against a top 5 opponent. Nicholls lost by 50 at UNC last night... I think if we can stay within 20 then it would be a decent showing.

I was very impressed with the skill position players for Dawson on offense and their overall team speed. They can hit for a big play at anytime. The QB has great touch on the deep ball and some great targets. On defense, I was also impressed with Jeffires #24 at the corner position. He and Kimler had a great battle all night. I think the game vs Angleton will be a shootout. I was not overly impressed with the D and Angleton is potent on offense. I think the better team won, but I thought Ned played really well and with any breaks could have won the game. Dawson was the best team Ned faced this year. Good luck next week.

Very proud of this group of Dogs! Great job and great game last night. We went toe to toe with an outstanding Dawson team. I loved our aggressiveness on offense all night. Even when we came up short on the 4th down on our own 20 it showed them we meant business tonight! Defense stiffened up and stopped them on the 1 for no points. Only call I did not like was the fake punt in a 2 point game. That play never seems to work. Overall, a great team effort and a great ride! Ready for next year!

This will be a tough game. Dawson has a great team and is by far the best opponent we have played in my opinion. The experts are picking us to lose big, but I think the Dogs are gonna play their best game of the year! This is a very resilient team that never quits. Keep it going Dogs! Make us proud!

Agree! Both teams have stiff challenges this week, but both are good at embracing the role of underdog. Let's go Dogs! All we have heard all playoff season is Dawson this, Dawson that.. Great team. We don't have to be better them all the time, just Saturday night for 3 hours! Go Pirates! Who cares if they are undefeated? They are due for a loss, right? If all goes well, let's fill up Provost Umphrey Stadium next Saturday night! -

I am sitting here watching the 49ers and their style reminds me so much of the Nederland Bulldogs. Excellent defensive line, very solid linebackers and an underrated secondary. On offense, they have talent but play quite conservative. They have two running backs with very different styles, several solid receivers, a very good tight end and a solid kicking game.The QB is good, but they just have him manage the game and don't ask him to do too much. They also are very good at winning ugly. Who does your team most resemble?

They are in the state semis after coming back from a 27-7 halftime deficit yesterday! Some great kids on that team. My wife is a teacher there and I have made a few games. They have several really good players that could start for most of our area playoff teams. They play with a ton of heart. Keep it rolling Bulldogs!

Ugly game. The defenses dominated for the most part. Until, OT when the Dogs passing game came alive! Colton Kimler is a beast! Only a soph. We gotta him the ball more. He makes things happen and is tough to bring down. Great job again, Dogs! One game at a time. Keep playing defense and limit the mistakes on offense and who knows? Good luck Vidor Pirates, Ozen Panthers, WOS Mustangs,, Dayton Broncos, Memorial Titans, and Kelly Bulldogs.
P.S. Great game Houston Stratford. Your boys played with class and sportsmanship all day long and you should be proud. It was a great game that could have gone either way. -
