1. Ozens speed and dual threat QB really gave us fits. The little running back is very good and Ozen has some good looking WRs. Our tackling this evening was uncharacteristically poor. Our defense was not what it normally is, but the Ozen offense thT we saw tonight was by far the best offense we have faced. It is the first team that we have played that cN run, throw, and has speed. Great job by our offense! They bailed us out tonight. I thought we had iced the game with 7 min left up by 17 but those Ozen boys did not quit. Great win and a great district championship! Way to go Dogs! Keep it rolling!
2. Since Ned is already in the playoffs, then lots of other teams will be pulling for them this week(namely Png, Vidor, and Livingston). This should be a good ballgame. I think Ozen is the most dangerous team in the district on any given night and could pose problems for the Dogs. They should be extremely focused with their playoff lives on the line. I think the Dogs will be up to the task at home though and one step closer to that outright undefeated DC!
3. I hate to break yalls hearts, but it ain't 5 teams fighting for 4 spots. It is 4 teams fighting for 3 spots. Nederland is IN. The worst they can finish is 5-2 in a 5 way tie for 1st place. In that scenario, the worst point differential they could have would be a +2 and that would assume an 18 point loss to Ozen. (+3 vs. Png, +3 vs. Vidor, +14 vs. Livingston, and assuming a -18 vs. Ozen = +2.)  Even if Ozen wins out and beats Ned by 18 points, the best they finish is -6. (-18 vs png, -7 vs. Vidor, +1 vs. Livingston, and assuming +18 vs. Ned=-6)

In any other scenario, including Vidor winning out and being district champs if Ned loses out, there would be a team out of those 5 with 3 losses, thus putting Big Ned in the playoffs since the worst they cAn finish is 5-2. Anyone see it any differently?

Congrats Ned on the win.  I was shocked that the score wasn't much higher in this game.

Ned got off to a slow start dropping a td pass, missing a long fg, then having a punt deflect of the helmet of a blocker. The first quarter was over quickly and scoreless. After that, we scored nearly every time we had the ball before putting the backups in late. Lumberton seemed to be there to run the clock and not give up 50 points. They ran the same play over and over. Another great showing by our D.
5. Central's fans have gone from picking their team to beat the best team in the district on the road last week to completely giving up on the team and coaching staff this week? Come on man! These are high school kids and coaches! Just remember, a team is never as GOOD or BAD as their last game... It happens so often... Just look at the Tampa Bay Bucs yesterday. Awful in all phases two weeks ago in a blowout road loss at 49ers and turn back around and look great vs. Saints. You never know...
6. I hope our team and coaching staff is not taking this game for granted like most on this message board are. Ned needs to keep the intensity up and take care of business. It's not always easy on the road against a team with nothing to lose when you are supposed to win easy. Take care of business Dogs, one at a time!

If Vidorians have the best D in the district how come they have a L in distict...

I agree that it would be a different outcome. Ned would win by double digits now if you ask me. Raines was coming off an injury against BH and was not very sharp vs. Vidor. The offensive line has really come into it's own the past few weeks and the running game as well as Raines are getting better and better. The defense is also 100 percent healthy now and were missing 3 or 4
starters vs Vidor.  I can't remember if Pryor played that night but I know Hopkins, Taylor, and Stampley didn't. Put your focus on Central, Png, and Livingston and earn a playoff spot. Worrying about what could have been 4 weeks ago is useless.

Were you at the Vidor Nederland game? No i don't think you were so you honestly can't say much about that "L" in our district game. Anyone who was at that game knows full well that we gave Nederland the best game they have had this year and we gave them that game with our LEADING RUSHER at the time out of the game. Not taking anything away from Nederland. They did what they needed to do to win. But IMO they got lucky and if Nederland and Vidor met again it would be a different outcome.

Well if we are lucky, then we have been lucky all year, except for BH when I guess our luck ran out....but wait if our luck ran out at the BH game then wasn't Vidor the next week?

Did I say yall were lucky the whole season? No I did not. I simply said that yall were lucky that night. I can't talk about the other games cuz i wasn't there. I was talking about the Vidor game. That's it.

8. Anxious to see the stats from this game tonight. I don't think Central topped 100 yards against them. Domination from the opening whistle. Great job! I did not think games from 4 or 5 years ago would impact this game at all. Offense looked good as well. Starters sat the entire 4th quarter. Keep it going guys!
