I find Dayton to be a bit of an enigma. They certainly did not look like a winless team against Nederland when I saw them. I honestly thought they looked better than both Santa Fe and Texas City. It must be consistency issue.

I know many teams that will gladly take Westerberg if he all of a sudden can’t coach and y’all are tired of him...

Who gets credit for the 4 INTs that the same secondary had? Asking for a friend.

It was a great game. I still can’t believe we threw 4 INT and still win on the road against a very strong opponent! The QB only had ONE INT all SEASON before last night. Great win for the Bulldogs and a very exciting finish!

The first string gave up 6 points today and that was on the 2nd play of the game. A 73 yard pass. After that, Jax did next to nothing. I’m assuming you didn’t watch any of this game.

Nederland is gonna be just fine! I really liked what I saw tonight! Missing a few Guys on both of the lines too, including one of our absolute best!

I was actually defending Hefner. He is playing point guard for Ned which isn’t what he will play in college. I’m one of his biggest fans and he has a lot of haters in here. He is extremely unselfish and a great player. I am anxious to see how he does in college when he isn’t the focal point that other teams try to game plan their D against. -

Memorial always does a great job defending Hefner with several players and lots of trapping and double teams. It probably led to open threes for Gipson and some really good looks for other players. I know yalls agenda here, but I promise he had plenty to do with the win. With that being said, y’all are constantly on Hefner’s ass... how do y’all give Clover a free pass? -

Update? -
Cleveland came out with some fire first quarter. Gipson hit 4 threes for Ned in 1st quarter. Hefner had 30 points after a slow start and sat half of the 4th q.

I’m interested to see how Hayden does at the next level when he doesn’t have to be “the guy.” I’ve heard he plays very well on his shoe team with a lot of studs around him. Averages double digits and makes a lot of great plays. One thing you can’t deny is that his offer list of 8 schools is as good as anyone in SETX. [Hidden Content] -

Lots of Hefner criticism and none for Clovers game last night? What’s up with that? Asking for a friend. -

Memorial has a solid squad and are really tough in the blocks. Very impressed with Lofton. He had his way. It was a great game for one half until Ned went on a 3rd Q scoring drought. Memorial was very physical with Hefner all night and he got frustrated. Lofton outshined him tonight, but Hefner DID NOT quit on his team like one Memorial fan said. Congrats on the win, Memorial. Y’all have our number. -
PA is the favorite in this game because they have more weapons than Nederland as usual. Hefner has a better supporting cast around him than he has the past two seasons though. This will be his best shot at a win vs Memorial in my opinion. It will take a total team effort for Nederland to pull off the upset, not just the play of the best player on the team. Hoping for an exciting game!

Pretty sure he was referring to the fact that he has 6 varsity games against the Mighty Titans since he started as a freshman on varsity. None of the rest of his teammates do. Spin it how you want, but he is one of the most unselfish players you will ever see.
