  1. No, I am serious. When we played there three weeks ago we went thru metal detectors. No lie.
  2. Forest Brook is a mess of a team. You also have to go thru metal detectors to get into the game, no lie. So, leave your guns, knives, and nunchucks at home for this one lol.
  3. PN-G 17 Ozen 13 I think it will be a defensive battle. If either team can score a defense or special teams TD it will probably carry them to victory. I'll take PN-G cause they usually have a better kicking game than the Panthers do.
  4. Livingston would beat every team in this district?!?! Are u kidding me? You cannot be serious. They would finish middle of the pack and *possibly* battle for 3rd.
  5. Nederland 24 Vidor 13 I think the Dogs will win, but I hope we aren't taking Vidor lightly. They are always up to play us.
  6. Central 20 LC-M 14 Defensive battle in my opinion. But, I think Central has the edge on offense right now. Should be a good game.
  7. Dayton 35 Lumberton 17 Everyone is overreacting to the Raiders defense. They have played some very weak offenses thus far. They will get a taste of a real team this week and won't like it. Lumberton may be improved this season, but they aren't ready to run with the Broncos.
  8. Good point, uknowit2. Good point. lol
  9. A clue about what? "Hands down" the best QB in the area?!?! Is that before or after the best two QB's(Green, Sampere) in the district went down with season ending injuries? I think Bryce DeJohn is a good QB and throws a good ball, but unless he has improved enormously from last season then he is not "hands down" the best in the area.
  10. Port Neches, Katy, Nederland immediately come to mind.
  11. Okay, I am gonna throw some love to you guys out in Vidor.. Vidor is always a tough place to play. Vidor on homecoming night is an EXTREMELY tough place to play. Great fan support over there.
  12. Ned beat Forest Brook 35-12 with a soph making his first varsity start at QB. The total yardage for Forest Brook was around 61 yards I think. They have a quick back #2 I think, but a mess of an offensive line. #2 got loose for around a 35 yard TD run after a 20 yard punt by us set them up in our territory. Their other TD was an 83 yard kickoff return for TD and that kid could fly too, he plays corner but I forgot his number. Kick coverage is one of our weaknesses though. I would think the Hill wins by 2 TD's minimum even if y'all are down in terms of talent this season. I have not seen y'all play, just going by what some of your fans have said.
  13. "Hands down" must mean handing off to the RB's since he has only thrown 15 passes this season against suspect competition. Seems like they would let him air it out a little to get ready for district. Gonna be tougher to run on 22-4A defenses.
  14. I think everyone is overreacting on Dayton's 1-2 start. They started the season 1-2 last year losing close games to the EXACT same teams and ran the table when they got into district. They are still the favorite in my opinion until proven otherwise.
  15. Lumberton by 40. This will be the last easy game though. I doubt they blow anyone else away this season.
  16. Bellow is going to be really good in my opinion. He is learning on the job and I suspect that next year he will be one of the top QB's in the area and in 2 years LOOK OUT! Sure he will make some mistakes this season, but to get this kind of experience and success as a sophomore is wonderful. He seems like a very humble kid as well.
  17. There are leagues for every level for men and for women in Beaumont. The levels range from 3.0 all the way up to 4.5. They usually start around March. Emily Coxe is the person to contact. She is the chairman of SETTA. That is the Southeast Texas Tennis Association.
  18. Yes, it really is a shame. I think he would have been really special this season. But, I guess it just wasn't meant to be. On the bright side, how many QB's can say that their first and only start at QB was a 1-point win at RELIANT STADIUM! That is something that never can be taken from him.
  19. You are at the right place. I have just always gotten there thru bigned.com.. The post if you want to see it is entitled #73.. It was talking about another player's injury and how you cannot always believe what you hear.
  20. I think he started rehab on Monday. I am not sure..
  21. Umm, a post from his mother on the message board is pretty much all the indication that I need. Is that good enough for you?
  22. YES man
  23. Great post, beaumontballer. I am sure you will take some flack from your Lumberton buddies, but it was a great post nonetheless. If I were a Lumberton fan, I would want to stay low key. Obviously the majority of posters do not think they are the best in the district. It would make it that much sweeter for the fans if they shock the world. But, when fans get on here and hype them up, it sets the team up for failure and a lot of crow to be eaten by those posting. Stay low key, win some games, make the playoffs, then talk some smack. You can't just go straight to the last one! Respect is earned. With that said, I think Lumberton is a much improved ball club and *could* compete for a playoff spot. But, I like many others need to see them play a team that dosn't suck to gauge a real opinion on their defense. I know their offense is good, it always has been.
  24. I do not see us as the favorite to win district in any way, shape, or form. I think we have a good shot at the playoffs, but plenty of areas to improve upon.
