  1. Excellent article. Hopefully we will see Bellow step up and become a good QB at a young age. Maybe Ryan returns for a playoff push. That would be a great shot in the arm!
  2. I did not realize that Forest Brook had already played TEN games this season.
  3. I was actually talking about some hyped up 40 times that I heard from many posters on this board a few weeks ago. A 4.5 RB is plenty fast no matter what size he is. If in fact the Vidor FB does run that then he will be tough to stop. But, it is funny to me how many tenths of a second get knocked off 40 times on message boards. And, yes I do believe you bcjag that Frog does run in the 4.3-4.4 range. I saw him last year and he is lightning quick. He was probably the second fastest kid I saw last year next to Jacquizz Rodgers from Lamar Consolidated.
  4. Wow. Only a 4.5 huh? According to many on this board some teams have a pair of 4.4 guys in their backfield. LOL
  5. Surprise-- Nederland Disappointment -- Sampere getting injured
  6. Jasper by at least a TD.
  7. Don't crown us district champs. With the recent injury news about our QB Sampere being out for the year, we will be fortunate to make the playoffs in my opinion. I am wondering who will emerge as our QB. Will it be Kirby Bellow, Aaron Small, or Jordan Landry?? Does the freshman starting QB who is a specimen at 6'3 or 6'4 220 have any shot? It will be interesting to see what direction we go in.
  8. Here's a question for you gurus that say Micah is not legit. How many RB's actually get playing time as a freshman? It is a very deep position for most teams and it doesn't happen often.
  9. I thought PN-G looked like an improved team tonight. LaMarque did not impress me at all on offense. Other than #2 they did not have much. Their defense really tightened up when PN-G looked like they would score on several occasions. Tatum did not have his best game tonight, but I think he is talented and the Indians do have some weapons. Doty, Barnett, and Johnson are capable receivers and both tailbacks looked solid as well. PN-G will be in the thick of the playoff race if they can cut down on their penalties.
  10. Holy crap! What a great game! We had the game under control until the Sampere injury. After he got hurt we hung on for dear life. Sampere was incredible tonight as was Cardenas and several other Ned receivers. The defense did a good job. Brenham was very good on offense. I hope Sampere is okay. We won tonight with NO running game whatsoever. I am hoping it was because Brenham has a great run defense. If Sampere is hurt, we may take some lumps until he gets back. Hope it is just a sprain. Great team effort by the Dogs. That was as exciting as any game I can ever remember.
  11. Power runner?? I'd say either Gutierrez from Nederland or Hemmings from PN-G if we are talking about guys that are not afraid to run you over. Neither are the best backs in the district but DB's brace themselves when they see these guys coming.
  12. Not saying that the guy isn't good, because I am sure he is a heck of an athlete. But, Brenham struggled running the ball against PN-G last season and I do not remember this back. I am sure he is skilled and quick though. Brenham had plenty of speed, ran the spread, and had a great passing game. From what I read in Brenham's newspaper, their passing game is what the coach has been most proud of and he pointed out that they need to improve a lot in the run game and on D. So, from what seems to be our sterngth and weakness through the first two scrimmages, I am much more concerned about our 2ndary containing the pass because that is our main weakness in my opinion. I am also concerned about our running game if Bass does not play. If he doesn't I hope we see some I-formation sprinkled running Gutierrez and sprinkle in the spread as well. If we don't get some semblance of a running game going this week then we are in for a log night I am afraid.
  13. ware is correct. he replaced dean in 3rd game
  14. damnit you are on fire! how bout this one... Name the Lumberton QB who started for the Drillers this season.
  15. geez. those are a handful of their best players. without those guys, i will take silsbee i guess. silsbee soph QB is very elusive and could hurt the Raiders on scrambles.
  16. Scooter got it! adminbaberuth, the answer is all of them! Who was the final QB for Port Arthur Stephen F. Austin?
  17. You got it gasilla. Name the last QB to start for TJ.
  18. nope... try again..
  19. jeremy havard is correct. yes, i believe that they did have richard whitaker that year. Nederland lost Sumrall in that game after 3 plays. Still led going into 4th quarter, but had a punt hit Aubrey Brisendine in the back that turned the game. Next question... Who was the PN-G QB that started after Dustin Long graduated?
  20. Jeff Hopper was correct scooter and bmtsoulja. The answer to the ring's question is Wiliam Delage. Here's one. Name the southpaw QB for Nederland when Troy Sumrall was the RB and the Dogs were beaten in the playoffs by Jacksonville.
  21. If the Raiders can score 35 a game, then they have a chance. I just know that the D has several holes.
  22. Name the Central Jaguars QB when Leeland McElroy was a senior.
