1. It will be announced April 1st but it's no joke.
2. smith, need to see a few more post from a former Lamar LB.
3. He is a slow learner as I have been telling him this from years. See how he didn't answer the second part of my statement. Again I'll ask, how is Hooten doing in Huntsville? Worry about your own program and leadership at SHSU. As you can see, there are no threads here or on BRI about the Kat's and their athletic programs.
4. Wish the young man a successful career at McNeese but Coach Woodard has verbals from HS O-lineman rated ahead of Jones. I have a niece attending Lamar along with her boyfriend and they told me most of the people stayed on campus during football season. I guess your comment about students staying on campus is the reason he wasn't even looking at SHSU.
5. Jones father stated it was a close decision between Lamar and McNeese. [Hidden Content]
6. I guess it is a matter of opinion since there are 124 FCS schools. 4 doesn't seem like a lot to me.
7. JJ was making it sound like it happened a lot. The University of South Dakota football team beat Minnesota. So, that is two times a FCS school beat a FBS school in football. Can someone name about 10 more last season?
8. Thanks to people like the Moore's it is changing the landscape of Lamar University. The Investing in the Future comprehensive campaign now has more than $76 million.  8)
9. What do you have when you have great athletic training facilities and a strength and conditioning coach who knows what he is doing? SUCCESS!
10. Correct he (Coach Foster) was an assistant at Arkansas when Sidney Moncrief and the Razorbacks went to the Final Four.
11. He would be a huge pickup for the young Lamar football program!
12.
Best part about Lamar coaching searches.. The fans' expectations are through the roof and we get to hear hyperbole of how many great coaches are interested in coming to Lamar... then we end up with another Ray Woodard-type, a guy with no head coaching experience at the Div I level, let alone the Div II level. Fantastic!
I can promise you if there is a coaching change with the MBB team the leadership at Lamar will leave no stone uncovered. How is Hooten working out for you guys in Huntsville?
13. You didn't answer the first part of my question. If FCS schools are always beating FBS schools in football please name a few from last season.
with all the bowl games, every tom, censored and harry goes
At least your program is getting some national exposure.  ;)
Yea, Western Kentucky gets tons of national exposure, but I'm not sure it's what they really want. At least I can say this was a magical football season in which I got to see WKU break their record for straight losses. Oh, and FCS programs that that win against FBS programs get a good dose of national attention too.
FCS schools beating FBS schools doesn't happen all that often. If so, please name 10 that happened all of last season. I have no problem with SHSU staying FCS. It probably fits your program best.
15. A lot of times the head coaches contact each other and if it comes to setting a game, place and time and the amount of money the guarantee is then the AD's get involved.

18. It will be a non conference game that will be dropped if TCU is added. So it will be either Langston, South Alabama or South Dakota Lamar breaks their contract with to schedule the Horned Frogs at Cowboy Stadium. But, Puddin you are right they could drop Texas State.
19. Can't say much more than others have stated. Time for a change in leadership with the MBB Team and I hope Coach Tidwell does the right thing for Lamar.
20. Congratulations to the WBB team and Coach Tidwell and his staff.
21. The WBB team will play TCU in Fort Worth next year. MBB going to Kentucky.
