1. I hope there is a large section of red but there are couple of things which may cut down the numbers traveling with the Cards this weekend. 1. The funeral of Reggie Garrett in Orange on Saturday. 2. The game is going to be on Fox 4. 3. The HS game on TV on the CW.
 2. Dang, he isn't very big but he puts up some unreal numbers. He is listed at 6'0, 195.
 3. Thanks mffl, you are doing a great job moderating this forum. You are more level-headed than me!  8)

Good to have you back on board.
Thanks AggiesAreWe, you are really doing a good job with those high school football games as well as being one of the administrators of setxsports.com. Are you all just doing Saturday games?
I broadcast all of Silsbee's Friday night games and do the KFDM/CW Saturday games. We still do Vidor, Kirbyville and Newton broadcasts here on the site on Friday nights. We still have our weekly preview show as well on Wednesday nights. I am really glad to have you back. If you need anything, let me know.
Thanks, but I'd be too scared to ask as you are obviously a very busy man!  8)

 8. I was a moderator and wasn't in the right frame of mind to do a good job. So, I decided just to be a regular member. Thanks again for the compliments but you are very wise and make excellent posts and I can tell you really love the Cards. Go Big Red.  ;)

Things are getting better. How about you (spinks)? How is the family and all?
Sorry to hear that.  Glad things are better and glad you are back on here.  Few have a passion for LU like you and I have always loved your commentary.   Family is doing well and not to many complaints here.  Maybe we will see you at a game.  Good to talk to you!
Good talking to you too.  ;) Thanks for the compliment but I don't have the sources you do.  8)

 12. My brother is the associate pastor at Community Church and it holds about 2,000 people but I'm sure there will be more than that who want to pay their condolences so I would get there early. Gosh, everytime I think about Reggie Garrett tears come to my eyes.  :'(
 13. Gosh, I still want to cry watching this on NBC!  :'(

Anyway, Lamar is back and beyond the 80's politics and the southern newspaper.
smith, I agree about what Bob West did and wrote 20 plus years ago. I hadn't met him yet and didn't know Jennie. I can tell you I didn't like him very much at the time.

He and Tubbs are big buddies.  Maybe he does not like it that Tubbs is no longer AD.
ok..........maybe i was right.
I work with Jennie, Bob West's wife and have met Bob on several occasions. I don't doubt he doesn't like to admit being wrong but there are more important things going on with his family than sports. That is all I'm saying considering it is very personal stuff. He probably isn't going to do write-ups for the football season but he'll probably do basketball as always.
 17. Both teams passing the ball between 40-50 times it is going to be a LONG night.  Thinking about it, (game with SFA) I remembered Andre Bevil set another passing record on Saturday. He completed 33 passes in the game that broke John Evans record of 32.

No way. And great win for the Cards. I was very impressed. JJ Hayes best will be the best receiver in Lamar history when it is all said and done! (Not sure how great of an accomplishment that is however)
ForeverADog, where in my post did I say I KNEW we would be 2 and 1 right now? I stated I thought they would beat Webber and AFTER the McNeese game I thought we would have a CHANCE to win versus SE Louisiana. I will admit after being down by 20 in the 3rd quarter I didn't think we could come back on the road versus the Lions. Please, don't put words in the mouth! As for JJ Hayes, Coach Woodard thinks he can be an All-American and play at the next level. He is bigger than I thought, 6'3, 205. He will probably be the best receiver in the history of Lamar University if he continues to work hard and he stays away from injuries. Now as for bashing the TEAM, no way you have ever read a post from me bashing the Cardinals football team I've waited 21 years for this!
Never in my post did I say you KNEW anything. My posts was made in response to AJ saying no one thought we would be 2-1 at this point before the season started. You responded to him based on what you thought after the season began. I was just correcting you because that wasn't the point of his post. So please don't put words in my mouth!
Sorry, my reading and comprehension must be getting bad as I'm getting older. I thought you stated "BigRed360, so you are telling me 2 months ago you saw us being 2 and 1 right now? No way" So, I just responded to what you posted. Not putting words in anyones mouth and for me; I'm moving on from this thread. Go Cards!

 20.
LIT students do pay the athletic fee... I have a frind that goes there and he said they do
Called LIT today like I said I would and they DON'T pay the athletic fee. They do pay a FLAT $60 per semester for access to the Shelia Umphrey Rec Center. They have another fee to give them access to Lamar athletic events for free. But they do not play the $8.75 per credit hour for fall and spring semesters or the $4.50 per semester hour for summer sessions. Just a little info to clear the air.

 22.
You guys are pretty ridiculous. Who cares who likes the Cardinals, Cowboys, Astros, New York Yankees.. Or chili cheese dogs. Lamar is 2-1 and no one saw it coming. So shut up about who likes who, if you enjoy the Cardinals.. Make the drive to Nac for a good game against SFA. If not, sit at home. You guys seem so bitter about something all the time.
Hey, Lamar is 2-1 and they'll probably be 2-2 after this week versus SFA. I plan to make the trip to see the game and support the Cards as they might suprise us yet again. God forbid anyone talk negative about anyone, any other school or their team, or any trash talking as AJ25 thinks that is pretty ridiculous. Forgive me Lord for I have sinned in the eyes of AJ25. Sorry if you didn't see Lamar winning any games up to date but I was pretty sure we'd beat Webber and after the McNeese game I knew we had a chance against SE Louisiana so talk for yourself when you state "no one saw it coming".
 23. Well, you got me there.  :D
 24. Great read and classy remarking and action by Andre Bevil. May Reggie Garrett RIP; as my prayers are with his family, friends, Mustang football team and coaching staff and the community of Orange, Texas.

TexasTerror is not "much better versed in the history of Lamar than you." (UNLV) Or any other member of this forum that post on a frequent basis. Heck AggiesAreWe knows as much or more than he does. Now, I will say he (TexasTerror) seems to know a lot about the SLC and FCS football.
