And you guys have never sent us home in the post season.  We, on the other hand, HAVE sent you home. And that more than trumps all those less important games."

So, can a win on Friday be just another Forest Gump type moment for the Mustangs?  "So we went to the playoffs... again.  And we won our quarterfinal game.... again."

    I wonder.

This is what makes it not just another quarterfinal game...oh,and it's Silsbee.

Not sure how banged up Jasper would have done. May have won but without the 3 I saw listed they are a long way from the team that earned that ranking all year.

Even without the 3 your talking about Jasper was still the better team than Giddings.Wish those 3 could of played to see if WOS could of slowed them down with their revamped defense.

  3. When we played Sweeny I drove up to the stadium and parked right there in front. For some reason I thought that was the home side. Bought my ticket and walked inside. After I made that long trip around to the seats I saw I was on the visitors side. They just marked my ticket " wrong side " and I showed it to the gate people and went inside....again.lol

WOS did a good job clogging the runs between the tackles too. The Mustangs coaching staff has done a whale of a job with their kids. I got the impression early in the season that the normal fire was missing from that group and they had it in spades tonight. That's not meant to take anything away from the Jasper staff and players. We were right there and just couldn't get it done...

I was on pens and needles all night until the clock read 0:00.Both teams played their hearts out.Our QB made some bad decisions throwing the ball. The momentum kept swinging back and forth. Both teams turned the ball over numerous times but Jasper turned it over on their 13 yard line which turned out to seal the deal for WOS.I thought Jasper should have gone to the pass sooner because we were stopping their run game and they were moving the ball better when they passed. This was one heck of a game determined by one fumble at the wrong place at the wrong time. Thanks for a great game Jasper.

In the regular season the video of the games was delayed a few hours, but now below each game is reading "Live at NRG Stadium".  Will people be able to watch these games live now that it is the playoffs?

    All help is appreciated!

Just regular season games can't be live. All playoff games can be live.

So its Thursday, Ive been trying to keep up with this thread but does anyone know the exact status of injured players on both teams? Who plays who doesn't? Be great if both teams were full strength, if so I cant help but give WOS a slight edge in this one, at this time of year?

According to both sides injured players want be a factor.Say they want miss a beat. Not sure I agree with that.

Kind of funny.  He picked up on West Orange but apparently overlooked the game against Stark in 1962 at Jasper.  That game also did not end well for Jasper either.  65-6 loss.  Jasper celebrated anyway because they scored a TD against a top 10 ranked team

That was a David Foster qb'd team for Stark if any of you Orange folks are old enough to remember him.

Went to school with David. He was a year ahead of me.He got his arm broke and was lost to us with our Semi game against Pharr San Juan Alamo. We lost 17-13 or something like that. The back up,bless his heart, could not pass and had two left feet.I still believe had we had Foster we win State.

WOS, you do have Jasper's attention.  Link to KJAS:

This is the hidden content, please

The history of Stark and West Orange is a bit jumbled, but the 1986 and on pretty well sums up the beatings the dogs have taken at the hands of WOS.

He goes way back before there was a WOS...back to the 60s and there was no WOS until 1977.But I got the point.lol
