Me being an old Stark Tiger, always wanted a rematch with Pharr San Juan Alamo who beat us in the simi's back in1962 or 63.Had we not lost our stud QB the previous game I still think we beat them.Without him we were just a run offense and we mixed it up really well with him in there.

I was talking about teams in the same district.Remember in the early years Jasper would beat us in district ( not many ) but we would always win in the playoffs.

I dislike playing a team twice unless we lose the first one lol.Seems that the second time around the outcome is different but not always.

I'm with you Griff.Good post.I might add that a lot of teams out of our classification would be a disaster for us to play.There are some salty teams down the road in our division we need to be focused on. I for one want to enjoy this moment and could care less about that other stuff and hypotheticals and might add some pretty silly questions.

You got that right xxman.There is another local station ( no name ) that just raises the hair on my head when I tune them in to get updates on their game.They don't give the score very often and most of the time they just say the score and don't ever say who has what like we are suppose to know.Grrrrr!!!!! Gary and John make you fell like you're right there in the stands.

I would have to do more research on the teams but if Carthage couldn't slow them down I don't know who can in their region.I know they want face the likes of a WO-S defense and that's what it looks like it will take.The only thing that I can see is for someone to be able to score with Gilmer and get a few timely stops.Maybe a region 2 guru can give some insight.

Yeah and Henderson jumped ahead of them in the polls.Good thing Gilmer can score points are they would have a losing record that's for sure.With that said they will likely make Jerry's World anyway.

It might surprise you but he was around 130 yards,Most of that was in the first half.Shaw for WO-S had about the same.Silsbee wound up with 111 yards for the game.That shows how much they lost in negative yards in the second half.

I listened to it on the Carthage station and when it got to 49-17 the commentators started saying we need some more points.You could sense the uneasiness in their voices.By the time it got to 49-37 you could sense urgency in their voices.I think they finally knew they had it with less than 3 min. left.lol

They got beat by 5A Northwest 27-21 first game of the year.Northwest is 3-0.

They are in 6-4A1.Here is a run down of their district. Carrollton Ranchview 4-0 PF 173 PA 44 Dallas Carter 3-1 PF 165 PA 85 Midlothian Heritage 3-1 PF 213 PA 144 Alvarado 2-1 PF 77 PA 73 Dallas Wilmer Hutchins 1-3 PF 72 PA 103 Dallas Pinkston 0-4 PF 42 PA 101 Looking at this they are a little less than average imo.I haven't looked at who they beat though.Their game with Brownwood was canceled last week.
