Cuero is quietly sitting there having only given up 14 points in five games.
Oh I been watching those rascals.Scoring some points too.

WOS, Gilmer, Cuero and Navarro seem to be consensus. Some have Sweetwater and Sinton up there too. Even though they have 2 losses I'd still put Celina up there.
I might add Gladewater as a suspect.

I'm from w.o and I'm with u on that one !!ppl need to understand upsets do happen.that they outta worry abt us keeping the kids humble and continuing to get better.instead of acting like there's not a team in the world that can beat us . remember the 88 mustangs going for 3 in a row.we have to stay hunger.nd not get complacent. Thinking all we have to do is show up and we can beat anybody. Look at what happened Friday in the first half.i saw a team out of place in the first half.so why give other teams bulletin material! ! Let's act like we been there ppl.
Oh yes the 88 game with Paris.WH0 THAT.The team the question was...Not if we could beat them but rather by how much.Newton bring back memories. If you are a football fan and have been around for awhile you know the saying" on any given Friday " is just not a saying for someone trying to be cute.Injoy the ride while it last and please stop putting a bigger target on the kids than is already there.

Why...why...WHY...continue asking these silly questions? WHY can't some of these posters be satisfied with winning in the division they are sanctioned...4AD2...and stop with the hypothetical questions that are meaningless?
We are only in week 6 and the Mustangs still have much business to take care of. WO-S fans, try to stay focused on the journey ahead of you...PLEASE!
If we (WO-S) win the state title, at the end of the season is the time to ponder these questions. Not NOW.
I'm with you Griff.Good post.I might add that a lot of teams out of our classification would be a disaster for us to play. There are some salty teams down the road in our division we need to be focused on. I for one want to enjoy this moment and could care less about that other stuff and hypotheticals and might add some pretty silly questions.

KOGT is suppose to broadcast it. Gary Stelly does such an outstanding job, with John Kimbrough adding good points, and helping with the official calls. I dont know of any other broadcaster that does a better job. Thank god we have him!
You got that right xxman. There is another local station ( no name ) that just raises the hair on my head when I tune them in to get updates on their game. They don't give the score very often and most of the time they just say the score and don't ever say who has what like we are suppose to know.Grrrrr!!!!!
Gary and John make you fell like you're right there in the stands.

So there is not team that can shut them down in the playoffs before State?
I would have to do more research on the teams but if Carthage couldn't slow them down I don't know who can in their region.I know they want face the likes of a WO-S defense and that's what it looks like it will take. The only thing that I can see is for someone to be able to score with Gilmer and get a few timely stops.Maybe a region 2 guru can give some insight.

Gilmer won but gave up 52 points, no defense at all.
Yeah and Henderson jumped ahead of them in the polls.Good thing Gilmer can score points are they would have a losing record that's for sure. With that said they will likely make Jerry's World anyway.

Silsbee not in the condition WOS is. Silsbee ran out of gas in the 3rd quarter
Any team that goes three and out over and over will tend to do that.lol

I don't think he got past 30 or even to 30 really. Didn't sound like he even had double digit carries in the 2h. I am a bit surprised Thomas hasn't had more carries this year in general. Kid was a beast last year. And they really need to find a way to get Barnes touches. As big as he is, at least on the track, he's probably going to be the fastest kid on the field 99 percent of the time.
It might surprise you but he was around 130 yards,Most of that was in the first half.Shaw for WO-S had about the same.Silsbee wound up with 111 yards for the game. That shows how much they lost in negative yards in the second half.

Great news.Congrats Jack.

I will say that. They didn't give up. Not sure how they translate that mentality to those boys so well, but they get it done. I know for a fact there where a few Carthage fans that said "Oh here we go," whenever Gilmer started scoring on that 20 point run haha.
I listened to it on the Carthage station and when it got to 49-17 the commentators started saying we need some more points. You could sense the uneasiness in their voices.By the time it got to 49-37 you could sense urgency in their voices.I think they finally knew they had it with less than 3 min. left.lol

Silsbee isn't my team and i could care less about that district. My team has already beat the top two teams in this district this season. I am sure you can guess who that is. lol. I just think Silsbee will go on a long winning streak after this coming game Friday and roll through district.
LOL.Should of said their district.

Not fooled=Alvarado can play some football, you'd think you were at a mini Png reservation w/cherokee etc
Ok I am not familiar with Alvarado. I hear they are good.
They are in 6-4A1.Here is a run down of their district.
Carrollton Ranchview 4-0 PF 173 PA 44
Dallas Carter 3-1 PF 165 PA 85
Midlothian Heritage 3-1 PF 213 PA 144
Alvarado 2-1 PF 77 PA 73
Dallas Wilmer Hutchins 1-3 PF 72 PA 103
Dallas Pinkston 0-4 PF 42 PA 101
Looking at this they are a little less than average imo.I haven't looked at who they beat though.Their game with Brownwood was canceled last week.

I believe Silsbee will do better than what most people think. Now, i do believe WOS will have a convincing win, but Silsbee should be the first to see the endzone against their defense. I root for both teams and hope nothing but success for you guys. Silsbee will be 1-3 after this game and then go on a six-eight game winning streak.
Nah.I don't see any team in yalls district going undefeated.
-
Should be a good game.50/50 as I see it.Could come down to turnovers.
-
Why do people keep wanting to go out side of a teams classification and compare?Every time a team has a good team people want to compare them with other teams they will never meet on the field. If you want to know if there is a team out there that can beat WO-S ....the answer is yes.Now with that put aside lets concentrate on what lays ahead that matters.
