Scarborough's playoff streak seems to be finished. The team's new district is...

District 11 - Houston Kashmere, Houston North Forest, Houston Scarborough, Houston Washington, Houston Wheatley, Houston Worthing, Houston Yates.

Hope you got your playoff shirts this past season.

All these teams went from D2 TO D1?????

  2. I honestly believe we would have had a few more shutouts this year if our offense wasnt so nasty at scoring from any where, at any time. It was almost detremental to our defense(as crazy and stupid as that sounds). Defense gets off the field then BAM TD WOS on first offenseive play. Defense had only the kickoff to rest lol.

I think that's why coach T tried to go back to a more run type offense a few years back so the defense could get some rest.Of course we didn't have the line for that and it didn't take long before we went back to the spread.

  3. I said this before. On another site Celina was talking about their big line and how they were just to big for WO-S to handle. How they were going to shove it down our throats and we would be gasping for air in the second half.Nothing much on what the QB was going to do to us.Now all of a sudden it's losing their QB that cost them the game. What happened to that power game they said they had....THEY MET THE CHAIN GANG...that's what!!!!!!!!!

    End of conversation!!

  4. I agree with what's been said to a certain extent. There are always exceptions. We had one of the best defenses in the state and Navasota destroyed us.The roll of the defense is to slow the other team down and give your offense a chance to win it.Navasota's offense was just unreal and with all the points that Gilmer put up last year they were no where near that team.

  5. The town of Celina and schools are shutting down today after school after the send off.  No school tomorrow.  Seems that last one out turns out the lights.  I love it.  The orange wave is headed to Houston!  I hope this game lives up to the billing.  Two heavy weights going at it.  High school football at it's best.  I can see this game having an overtime or two.  I don't think there is a better team in this one.  Just a team that will play better on the given night.  We need a best of five series and I am sure that would not settle this.

I'm understanding the area schools will have early release Friday here in Orange.Thank goodness I still have vacation left. Not that it would matter anyway.lol

  6. Another site has a poll showing WOS winning. Take if for what it is worth. Game will be determined on the field. Take care all who are going to the game. Be safe.

This is the hidden content, please

The polls on these fourms are homer based to a large extent. That same site had Carthage with a big lead due to most of the posters were from Carthage. And that my friend is what it's worth.lol

  7. I agree.  The key is to winning this late in the season is to not turn the ball over.  In Celina's defense, they had five turnovers themselves.  The problem is we didn't make them pay for them like they did us.  I think we would've won the game had it not been for the last pick-six, though.  They had a lot of trouble stopping our offense most of the time, especially in the 4th quarter.  The game was full of momentum swings.  We had them on the ropes in the first quarter.  They had us on the ropes for most of the second and third quarters, and into the 4th.  We came out swinging in the 4th.  Just came up short.

Yeah I was just watching the updates here and came to the conclusion whoever makes a mistake late will lose. Not a good game to be at if you have a heart problem.

  8. Field position played a large part in the yardage differential, and Celina's running game was much more consistent.  The two pick-six interceptions were a killer for Gilmer, too.  It was a good game that could've went either way, in my opinion.  Hats off to Celina, though.  They were the better team Friday night when it counted.

We had an awesome run, winning 30 straight.  We were hoping to meet up with y'all again, but Celina made sure we didn't.

If we can play with the same intensity as Gilmer, less the turnovers I like our chances. That last pick 6 did it.So close.
