I am going WAY OUT on a limb and predict Jasper over Huffman.  That will be without doubt an upset.  A huge upset.  Almost no one is picking the Dogs.

How bout that.Question...then why have all the polls that I have seen pick WO-S over HJ? I know it's different pollsters but they didn't let the win/loss thing determine who is better in their oppion. Polls are a fell good thing.Thank goodness we get to settle this on the field and not on paper.

 

That was mentioned earlier. Now the winner gets La Marque in their side, and second place gets La Grange. Makes this game all the more important!

Sure would like a crack at LM.Not because I think it's the eazy game but WO-S and LM go back a ways and they owned us in the 90's.I think we are 1-3 against them.Either way both of us have to get by these two if we want a rematch.

 

La Grange seems to be on another level as well. You seem to think WO-S is up at this level, though?

Was I looking at a old UIL bracket because the one I see now has LM in the top half and LG in the bottom half? That also changes up other match ups as well.

No I don't.The Ville is just on another level.Defense might be suspect though.Big Spring put 60 something on them but they have a beast of an offense and Stephenville put up 50 something on them.

 

These poles are made on the bases of losses, i'm assuming instead of the quality of the opponents that teams play. I see some teams IMO that should be ranked higher and some lower, due to the level of competition they have played. HJ # 10 we WOS fans will not hear the end.HA HA. :lol:

No way #5 through 10 could beat # 11 OR 12.Now # 14 might.lol

I keep hearing about how good HJ defense is.A good defense dose not give up the points to so-so teams.So my question is...how are they going to stop WO-S.The answer is they will have to keep the ball away from WO-S.I think WO-S defense will be able to get enough stops to be able to control the game.I don't see a blow out but WO-S should win by 2 TD's.

Don't let scores or opponents fool you when accessing La Marque playoff football.

Just because a team hasn't played or been tested dosen't mean they aren't as good as thier record shows.You hear it all the time...WELL THEY HAVEN'T PLAYED ANYONE.A lot of times when a team gets thier chance to play one of these type teams whished they hadn't.

 

Belleville beat Wharton by 1 last week.
I don't know much about either but my guess is they would be the underdog.

Bellville is 7-1,Sweeny 5-2 and Wharton 5-3.Bellville and Sweeny play this week.Looks like second place is going to be a fight between Sweeny and Wharton.Points against is Bellville 94,Sweeny 113 and Wharton 163.However Wharton leads in points for with 294.The last place team is between 0-7 Royal and 2-6 Columbus.

 

Silsbee better try to get third! THC will smash Silsbee by 60.

You have to think that it will be a bit closer than anticipated. I'm sure WO-S will be resting some starters, getting the younger guys a few more snaps to have them prepared for HJ and the playoffs.

Hopefully we can give the younger kids plenty of playing time in the Scarborough game.Which ever way it goes one of us will be able to rest some starters that's for sure.

 

one man team does not win against mustangs.  King is great player and kid.  will be even better next year.  HF will have more player around him just not at the same playing level.

Well someone forgot to tell that kid ( don't recall his name ) from Brookshire Royal awhile back.He pretty much carried his team to a win against the Stangs.Don't happen much but it did that night.

 

I believe all three of these teams can win in the first round.  The second round for the third place team will be extremely difficult.  The second round for the second place team will be no cake walk.  The second round for the first place team should be a competetive but very winnable game. 
My guess is, if any of these teams win in the third round, they will be headed to the state championship game.

I think you have to go one more game unless they play each other in the fourth round, then yes they will beat the region 4 team and go on to state.If only one makes it out of round 3 then they still will have a good team to face in round four.Reguardless of who wins region 3 I think they beat any team out of region 4.

 

Those quick passes and quick scores cant be made if the offense is not on the field.... Long, time consuming, methodical drives keep the offense on the sideline..... 1st, you have to stop us.... Just like with WOS, we will keep it close enough to have a shot at the end...

A quick striking offense does not need much time to score but it has it's drawbacks.Long consuming drives over a period of time will ware down a defense in the long run.The key for WO-S is to limit the time that HJ has the ball and to sustain drives themselves.This applies to our friends at OF as well.

You have some good teams in region 3 no doubt but none are like the Navasota's,Carthage's or Gilmer type monsters of the past.Region 3 is wide open for a team that can peak at the right time.Who ever gets out of region 3 well certenly have their hands full later on.

Looks like it doesn't much matter if you wind up in the top or bottom of the bracket.You have La Grange in the top and La Marque in the bottom and if things workout right you got WO-S and HJ spliting the brackets.Whoever makes it to the quarterfinals will have earned their spot for sure.

Was felling good after the way WO-S played Foster.Then BAM,Newton beats us.I don't care what you say that should have never happened.I wouldn't dare say how far we go until we play the the two teams ( OF & HJ )which are better than Newton.Better take care of the buessiness at hand are it could be a short run.

This is one of the better teams OF has fielded in some time.WO-S will not be taking them for granted.I'll take WO-S by two tds.

I don't care how good Richmond Foster is, was or will be. WO-S is not, was or will be a 30 point dog to anyone. PERIOD!!!

As for as the Newton game it's just a simple overconfident on the kids part.I think RF had the same problem.You have to start with that eye of the tiger sort of thing before the battle begins.You find that you are in a battle you are not mentaly prepared for and it is usualy to late.Newton knew what kind of efffort it was going to take to beat the Mustangs and they were ready.

Maybe I should just say they get a lot more attention over there.Doubt most posters over there have ever heard of HJ.lol

Just saw over on the Downlow poll,Tatum is favored by 80% to win.Lot of Tatum homers over there.lol.Good luck HJ.
