2. According to the Gilmer people the cuppard is far from bare.

 6. Been thinking hard about making the Cuero/Gilmer game.
 7.
I will take 10 more years of winning before the National Record is challenged. Concord (Calif.) De La Salle High School holds the National record at 151 games. Now that's a streak.
Yeah.But who have they played. ::) ;D
 8.

Just goes to show ya.When your good for any leanth of time everyone wants someone to beat you.Every team comes back to the pack sooner or later...then a new star will arise and we can't wait until they get beat. ;D
Goose Creek Memorial would glady shoulder the burden of being the best team in Texas.  ;D
Yeah. There's a lot of teams that would love to have that problem. ;D

 10. Yep.Going to be hard for anyone to get past Gilmer but it has happend before when Gilmer was favored. Then again, they took it all when they were favored too.Best thing right now is to cross that bridge when you get there. Here's hoping you make it.
 11.
So everyone pretty much says that they lost because of turnovers! Which usually happens when u have 5, but the Trojans had to cause some of them right? Or did WOS just snap the ball and hand it to the D?
Doesn't matter how they happend and I'm not saying Coldspring had nothing to do with it but they did happen and Coldspring made us pay.End of story.
 12.
I am so glad my Tigers are not looking to next year just yet. ;) ;D Skip, you and Coop can do all the posting on this thread. ;D
Now that's just wrong aggie. ;)
 13. Like I said from the start. The bracket Coldspring,WO-S, Rockdale and the others are in is wide open until you get to the quarter finals.Just about any team can beat the other. The team that has the fewest mistakes will probaly win the games. Now from the quarter finals on it want be wide open. That's where the men and boys will be separated. Sense Coldspring outpointed us I'll have to support them and wish them good luck.
 14.
I believe that saying the backup qb is ready for varsity is a stretch, to say the least.  He will get his turn, eventually.  Please, guys, don't rush him.  Everybody made a big deal out of the current qb last year and his expectations were grossly overrated.  I'm not trying to take anything away from him, just trying to be realistic.  WOS is a team concept.  It takes all of them to be successful.  That's what happened in '86, '87, '88 and 2000.  They played as a team.  There were several standouts on each team, but the teamwork is what made them successful.
Well said w.But I gotta say I wished Deon would have started a couple of years sooner. ;)

I thought I was going to miss this one.Had planed to take some clients to the company deer lease but that fell through.Yea!
What happened in '86? ;D Like I said in another post...The route to the quarterfinals is not that bad.Not any real overpowering teams until you get there.Any team in our bracket (with a few exceptions ) has a shot.
this ain't gonna to be a repeat of 86.  guaranteed!   ;D
Hey.We can dream. ;D

No question Gilmer is tough and deserves their number one ranking.  A team in Jasper's position has a choice when facing a team like Gilmer.  They can run scared, roll over and play dead.  Or, they can ignore the propaganda and play their game.  I think most folks in SE Texas know what the Dogs will do.  They will play their game.  Talk about smashmouth football, I suspect we will see some Saturday.  That is not a prediction that Jasper will win, but a prediction that the other team will know they have been in a FOOTBALL game. With a few breaks, Jasper very well may find a way to win this game.  Go Dogs.  We are behind you!!!!
J_dog.This going to be another slobberknocker? ;D
 19.
Stop me if you can football?  They haven't been very successful at that brand of football this year have they?  WOS has won this year, like in years past with defense.  Their offense has little to do with their success, matter of fact, it usually hinders their success.   Unless they have shored up their offensive line, their offensive philosophy needs to be "we'll block you if we can." Putting up big numbers against Hampshire, and Orangefield is hardly a referendum on how good the WOS offense is.  I'll be surprised if they score 28 tonight against Coldspring.
I doubt we will need that many.Like you said, our defense keeps us in the game.
 20.
Newton took care of business congrats it was worth the drive. And how about Pecos losing thats a big upset.
Monahans is 10-0,Pecos is 5-5.How in the world is that an upset. ;D
 21.
Riot, you need to come back to the real world, instead of living in your WOS dream world. I seriously doubt your backup, freshman QB is good enough to start for "most other teams in the state," as you put it.  He's good enough to start at other places but is a backup at WOS, LMAO.  I know most of you WOS posters are unrealistic homers, but this trumps all other posts I've seen..  I wouldn't bet him playing tonight either, unless someone goes down with an injury.  This will not be an easy game for WOS, and I have my doubts they will win. I'm just about as a conservitive and realistic wo-s fan as they come and this will not be an easy game for Coldspring, and I have my doubts they will win. :-* Does Salter play basketball too?  He may need to bring out the hightops tomorrow morning.
22.
Go through Dayton and hit 1960 like your going to Humble. The town before the Bridge into Atascocita is Huffman(Dated a girl in College from there ;D). There will be a sighn that says Hargrave Falcon stadium. You will take a right by a gas station if your going toward humble. ETBU can explain better, he lives there.
Thanks, kicker.I didn't think it would be to hard. What happened to the girl?
