1. I logged in this morning just to see how Dayton folks would respond to last nights loss to BH.  Wasn't sure what to expect.  I'm glad to see that our rivalry is one with a true respect for the game and the players.  Sure, there is a lot of smack talking every year leading up to the game, and it's fun.  But in the end, credit is given where credit is due.  Last year, Dayton beat us like little kids.  This year - possibly the best football game I've seen in a long time, and you SETX Dayton fans - the ones that truly know and love football - well, you guys are classy.  Let the youngsters who are still battling testoserone overload continue the smack talking.  Us "wiser, more experienced" types will simply enjoy this rivalry for good football.  I do love my Eagles.  Boy, what an amazing game!
Trust me, with season after season of BH coaching decisions, Coach Stewart was not the problem...  Nothing against him and his decision making, he's a great coach - but, as I said, ANY youth football coach could have rode that third quarter horse...
Good post:BTW words from an oldtimer w/lots of sense BH won't surprize Dayton running-period 8)
Good feedback "oldtimer".  I'll trust your insight.  Just don't nod off during the game this year.  You might miss one of those surprises that "won't surprize Dayton..."  :o I love that "Old River Shoot Out".
 4. First time to post - certainly enjoying the read.  However, as a SETX new-comer and just a regular Joe with a little bit of sense, it seems odd that ANYONE could reasonably predict where BH will end up fall of 2010 - new system, new coaches, good athletes, chemistry... certainly can't predict based on the past.   I do believe 2011 will be better than 2010.  However, I'm going to enjoy watching "the Hill" suprise a few naysayers this year.  Don't discount the talent coming into this season, and they like playing for the new staff.  That means a lot.  I don't know, but I'll say this...watch out folks, gonna be fun. BTW, you folks living 'round hwy 146 and 90... I promise you one thing, THIS coaching staff WON'T make the silly defensive mistakes that turned that third quarter into a debauchery.  Heck, my 10 year old's football team could have responded to that "curl" offense better than BH coaching staff did.  Gotta give you credit for taking advantage of our coaching inadequacies though.  Uuuuugggghhhhh...
