I totally agree!! 82-6! Passed the ball 63 times last night (several in the 4th quarter after leading 68-6 at end of 3rd), went for 2 five times (3 of those attempts were after SFA was already leading 25-0). Even though the 2nd team and some 3rd teams played half the 3rd and all the 4th, it was obvious Harper was looking to score as many as he could against a very outmanned McMurray team. Let's hope Woodard has a little more class than that.
Same song, different dance 82-6! Passed the ball 63 times last night (several in the 4th quarter after leading 68-6 at end of 3rd), went for 2 five times (3 of those attempts were after SFA was already leading 25-0).Could it not have been perceived that it gave them a better chance to keep them from scoring (xpt "kicking" is all but a given) and it gave his team perhaps much needed work on the 2pt, whereas it may be the differnce in a "closer" game later in the season, maybe even the difference in his making playoff or not. Even though the 2nd team and some 3rd teams played half the 3rd and all the 4th, it was obvious Harper was looking to score as many as he could against a very outmanned McMurray team. Soooo, they were supposed to do what? Man, if a team can't stop a 2nd and 3rd team from scoring, maybe we should say, "I hope Woodard coaches and recruits better than the coach from McMurry Let's hope Woodard has a little more class than that.Going for 2pt and playing your 2nd and 3rd teams does constitute a classless act, let hope Woodard RESPECTS HIS PLAYERS more than to lay down and punt on 1st down or throw interceptions/ fumbles on purpose, etc Really, I've seen this discussion before, but no one seems to have a solution that would be fair to the team doing the butt kicking, only comments that degrade the coach who has prepared his team, and the players that usually dont get a chance to play. Doesnt the back up players get to write home and tell mom & dad that hey, I caught (or threw) 10 passes for 210yds and scored (threw) 3 TD's, not their fault his team was already up by 35 pts when he entered the game
i agree it tough to tell a pine rider dont play hard.  The solution really is dont schedule a team that is not one but two divisions lower than you with zero athletic scholarships.  Play someone on your level or just below that may have a chance to win and you wont have this problem.
Good idea, I agree!
i agree..but second year..i imagine scheduling is prety dang hard  we got them, cuz Langston backed out....which came after we backed out of south dakota......what comes around goes around
Didn't Lamar play on Saturday and A&M play on Sunday? I didn't make the Lamar game nor did I watch the A&M game.
They had to get their white jammies on and practice hissing Saturday
 3. i think I'm correct on this: he was second on the team yds/carry and the leading rec. out of the backfield in receptions and yardage........outta the three, he had the most total yards from scrimmage :o
 4. i think it depends on what ray and whitten decide to do we try to run and play smashmouth the majority of the time--we lose..we throw it we win..
 5. i gotta get me a cowbell...I LOVE the cowbell folks in w207?  Those people enjoy themselves......
 6. just curious..how many of you  actually went to the game? or did you stay home and support your Aggies?
 7. again: i didnt  expect him to be named starter, too much politics...but the way that game went and the qb rotation..just plain wrong........throw last years starter in -late-, let him throw throw all of 2 passes-against the wind...not much class on the coach's part---he came thru big for ya last year---and you treated him like a scrub. AND NO, I'm not family and don't know him---just a LU football fan since the days of Tommy Tomlin and co.
 8.
Hey puddin...I agree with you, Prewitt should be the man. But as most of us know, Coach W isnt going to start him....so I formed my opinion off of the 2 likely candidates.
i didnt  expect him to be named starter, too much politics...but the way that game went and the qb rotation..just plain wrong........throw last years starter in -late-, let him throw throw all of 2 passes-against the wind...not much class on the coach's part---he came thru big for ya last year---and you treated him like a scrub. 9.
Cry if you want to, Jeremy will be the starter by mid season.
If you would have gone to the game...your big question today would be "How's his ankle?"
 10.
Northoftheborder, i am just being relistic ozen and central arent well coach teams like limberton was back then!!! Hussey is to slow to play at this level and he had fumble problems last yr!!! This is a different level from div 2 and 3!!!!
anybody actually know his time in the 40?
 11.
Here's a few stats from the game: JJ was 3 of 6 for 57 yards, 1 sack.  He also rushed 6 times for 29 yards. Bevil was 3 of 9 for 50 yards, 0 sacks.  He ran for 2 yards. Pruitt was 1 of 2 for 4 yards, 1 sack.  He ran for -17 yards. JJ has the better stats, but Pruitt played mainly with the 2nd and 3rd stringers in the second half.  I'm surprised he didn't play more in the first half.  I think Bevil is holding the starting spot until JJ is ready to play full time.  My guess is Pruitt is destined to be JJ's backup, which isn't surprising since JJ is the 3-star dual-threat QB and Pruitt is a walk-on.
the -17 was an errant shotgun snap that missed him by a couple of yards Bevil--same as last year , JJ two fumbles---duel threat would be running AND passing...and 3 star vs walk-on---just a rating that means squat on the field last night was a slap in the face to the kid who saved woodard's arse last year same as last year..no respect classless moves like this lose fans
 12. and its a dam-n shame
 13. LU football preview show..i think 2 weeks ago....announcer asked Woodard about hussey---he said "He will be playing"
 14. I would like to have seen him run behind a good O-line
 15.
I can't get excited about it...we beat a school with 600 kids.
you didnt miss football at LU enuf---Weber Intl is smaller and almost beat us last year..
 16.
I have to say that JJ should be the starter. Everytime Bevil attempts a pass he tries to force it in the endzone into coverage.....it doesn't work that way on the college level as you would think he knew this by now.
what game were you watching?  JJ might be able to hit the broad side of a barn, but thats stretching it...his last pass missed everybody by about 15 yds!  he isnt ready to be a college starter..maybe next year.......... Prewitt is getting hosed by woodard.
 17. me and lil puddin had fun too hot, too cold, too wet..wah!  waited too long for LU football to let a lil drizzle stop us!
 18. couple more i dont see on the roster that played a little last year.....crissom-stewert, torre henry,
 19. LU got lucky with weather last year....wonder how many wannabe's will opt to sit on the couch and watch rice/ut Puddin and younger puddin have the ponchos ready! [move]GO BIG RED[/move]how does one get a job as a weatherman..get paid for being wrong majority of the time.........? 100% chance all week..to almost none on friday to 30% sat.... just skip weather and have longer sports
 20. 42-38 MKCHS....last one with the ball gonna win this one
 21. 35-31,,,,,7 minutes left--sounds like a track meet
