Jeremy Moses their QB was a two-time SLC Player of the Year, and a Walter Payton Award candidate set a FCS record for all-time completions leader (1,184) in a loss at home to Villanova? You are right, today's game is passing but the BEST TEAMS can do both.  ;) Have you watched Oregon or Auburn this year? Oregon rushing 3933, passing 2518. Auburn rushing 4022, passing 2737
'nova threw 4 tds against em...then got beat by E wash (4 td passes) what I'm saying is Lu wants a chance at beating the hawaiis, okie sts, aTm's..gotta throw, cuz they aint gonna run on the big boys. How did they almost upset mcsneeze in the first game back? the pass...A passing game gives the underdog a chance.  How did Lurch at TTech do so much with "lesser" athletes? passing...
 2.

The offense looked great? Well, with Prewitt or Bevil at QB they broke records for yards per carry 2.2. Rushing yards in a season and only scored one rushing TD and that was versus DII OPSU. The ones who looked great were our WR's as they starred with both QB's. Bevil has the record for completions in a game at 33 and yards in a game 429. He did turn the ball over too much with 14 ints and 6 fumbles in 8 1/2 games. Prewitt did a great job but was never close to the completions or the yardage record. He was 2-1 as a starter. He did show leadership and I believe the team rallied around him. But, Bevil lead the team to a victory over SE Louisiana. The only win over a SLC team. I can see someone saying our pass offense looked great with Prewitt but not our overall offense. That is what Johnson will bring to the table. He'll make the rushing attack better and I predict he'll be the starter once the season starts. I'm not going to argue the point any longer as it is stupid to do so anymore. We'll see who the starting QB is next September.
Hello option. :)
option...zzzzzzzzzzzz...goodbye crowds... earl campbell couldnt have rushed behind that line todays game is passing..a great equalizer, you can throw you can beat anybody

 9. so, just outta curiosity...who are some unemployed coaches out there?
 10. Lu starts a qb with dreadlocks, they can have my tickets.
 11. put 50-60 pounds on him and introduce him to the line
 12. Hopefully Baylor...he and Griffin III can compare dreadlocks
 13. '85... blew his knee , i think at the very end of the season?...major bummer..he was one of the best rb to play at LU..
 14.
Last year Lamar only won by the score of 80-57, I seriously doubt it'll be that close this year.  Should be another 40+ win for Lamar.  What's the deal with only one D1 opponent at home for all of November and December?  Looking at Texas' schedule, of their first 10 games, 8 are home games and the other 2 neutral games.  I know Lamar has a lot harder time getting good opponents at home, but at least schedule all D1 opponents.  Is Roc that desperate for wins?
Is Roc that desperate for wins? i think thats an understatement!!!!
 15.
Honest question here...Was Lamar 1AA in the 70's and 80's? If so when was Lamars last playoff game?? I couldn't find it going back to '82
never...but we won the 1961 Tangerine Bowl! 1AA playoffs for LU start next year!
 16.
Another year, another blowout loss by a SLC team in the FCS playoffs.  I thought the SLC was suppose to be one of the top FCS conferences in the country?  Just like in basketball, the SLC is a one and done conference.
hard to figure...been times the slc goes to montana and plays in a blizzard and loses, that i can see....but getting smoked at home?
 17. WAC gets the waiver 2. no new western schools join... 3. A new name...4. ULL and Ark st join. UTSA Texas st New Mexico st ULL Lamar Ark st Denver SJSU? Idaho?
Assuming you are talking about changing the name WAC to something else, that would be a disaster.  That WAC name and emblem is the only thing that has kept the conference around so long.  That would be like changing the name COKE COLA® to something else. And no, there is not chance UNT will be enticed to move to the WAC.  The university has formally declined an invite for the 3rd time.
UNT can decline 1,000,000 times, however if the WAC becomes a better choice than the Sunbelt, it would be foolish for UNT not to join. There is nothing else out there for UNT. Sunbelt or WAC. Stop dreaming about CUSA, it won't happen. My current prediction of CUSA in 5-7 years. SMU Houston Tulsa Memphis K-st Iowa st Texas tech Baylor Southern miss UAB Tulane UTEP
How, pray tell, will the WAC be a better choice than the Sun Belt?  The WAC is toast.  Give it up.
we'd get to play Idaho!!! ::)
 18. in playoffs by Villanova..........at home...damn 'Jacks
 19. Roc is a joke....did they make any shots outside of 3'?  never saw an outside shot go in against Texas.
