1. well, that makes 4 or 5 suckers that read his article....guess he'll get a passing grade in his high school journalism class now. Different strokes for different folks....I gotta admit, I'm impressed that USA is drawing the numbers they are, considering their opponents.  Don't think Lamar would have good crowds vs. prep schools...which I'm sure they took into consideration when making LU's schedule. Go Big Red!
 2.
The BOX SCORE??? Terror is an idiot for pointing out the box score.  No one cares about that.  The Cowboys look better in the box score every week yet they are 1-3.   Puddin Tane..........I am not shocked with all you have said.  You love to find the negatives even in a win.  Very sad!!! And to answer your questions......... -only compliment -Our offensive line struggles which generally happens in a first year program -Our offensive line struggles which generally happens in a first year program -kicker was hurt and had already missed an extra point -I am sure this is a coaches fault.  Complaining about the secondary yet they didn't score -again complaining about the defense yet they didn't score -the kicker was hurt We hold a team scoreless and you find a way to complain about our pass defense and run defense.  A mystery to me! there Puddin Tane, feel better?
you asked...don't ask if you dont want to hear an answer you just wanted something to be-atch about glad we got the win, BEAT USA Go Big Red
 3.
I KNOW WHO IT IS!!!!!!!! ;D
ah man..now y'all got me scratching my head...a passing qb from here....went off.....now wants to come back...hmmmmmmmm...i'll guess C.G....didnt think he could pass tho
 4. enjoying the W...but if you insist -team didnt roll over like it did @SFA -qb still throws too many int -cant punch it in from the 1" line?... -pass up a game clinching FG -secondary? what secondary? -continue to make every RB we face look like Earl Campbell -whats up with the pooch kickoffs? there sleepy, feel better? GO BIG RED
 5.
Saw this post on the USA board...
Y'all act like this game is going to be easy as the poster above stated who have y'all played? We hanged with FCS powerhouse mcneese in our first game (lost I think 30 to 27) a very impressive feat Beat webber international in our first home game (not a great team) Beat southeastern louisiana on the road 29 to 28 who just beat future WAC conference member texas state by 25 plus Got stomped by SFA no excuses we played awful although they are an exceptional team Got beat bad by sam houston state no excuses again And beat langston by no means a great team but one of the best NIAI teams And are about to hand Southern Alabama their first loss LU 28 - USA 21 Btw stadium will be (if not already) soldout looking forward to a great game and fans making the trip enjoy it you will be razzed but not harrassed we are for the most part nice people and drive safely
FCS powerhouse McNeese? Been paying much attention this year? This is a rebuilding year for the Pokes! Let's also not forget that it was your first game and emotions were running high... Then, you talk about beating SLU - "who just beat future WAC conference member Texas State by 25 plus". Let's call that the SLU team you were facing was not the same team personnel-wise that TXST just played. It'd be like playing a Lamar team sans Bevil.
not saying they are a powerhouse this year...BUT...didnt mcneese just come within 55 seconds of knocking off SFA?  SLU yada yada yada..we won, they lost... Moronic post, wish you had a team to root for....
 6. when did homecoming Kings come about?  I'm old school.....
 7.
Those are for freshman as I don't see anything about transfer students. I could be wrong but that is what I get from this article.
many places  admission standards are lower for athletes anyway...I was just posting that cuz i think its good for LU
 8.
It's this man's job to see that he makes his grades. [Hidden Content]
I figured that was a booster's job :D
 9. Lamar has raised its admission standards :o [Hidden Content] which, i think,is a good thing
 10.
Yes and SFA barely beats McNeese 32-27 in the last minutes.  I'm scraching my head over some of the scores from last night based on LU's performance against those teams.
Slumberjacks scored with 50 seconds left to go ahead :o
 11. their  qb got a concussion yesterday, has to clear medical before he plays, leading rusher hurt his knee, another rb injured a shoulder.
 12.
Texas st   24 SELA       49
Lamar wins...San Marcus Junior College  loses...all is right in the world..
 13.

Derrick "frog" Hall is holding up his L tonight. Hope that is a sign of things to come for the Cards.
Forgive my ignorance...who is he?
rb from Bmt Central...A&m signee, then navarro, then tulsa....
 14. frick, cant y'all enjoy a win for at least an hour?
 15.
Looking at the box score, would think Langston won this one... More trips to the red zone, had the ball for nine minutes more, less penalties... If Langston scores in the red zone or "red area" as Whitten calls it, the Cardinals lose to Langston. Call this a good game all you want, but you guys can't do that against South Alabama and some of the other schools on the schedule. They'll find a way into the end zone and at the Div I level - probably make their FGs.
check the big numbers...they mean points scored

 17.
I don't think LU had any turnovers, although in the first quarter Langston dropped a sure interception for a touchdown.  With Hayes out and Lamar working on their running game it's good to see the defense actually shut down the other team.  Hopefully they can get more guys healthy for next week's game against South Alabama.  Will there be another sellout for that game?
Bevil threw 2 int...looked like one of the d-linemen had his knee in a brace..99?  Hussey limped off towards the end.  Epke can play some ball.
 18.
Why don't they use Caleb Harmon, he is a big strong back that can move a pile ???
he was in on kickoff return, so he is catching the coaches eye and not buried on the bench. Octavious ran well.  Had Asanti (sp?) in on goal line..think he was mistiming his leap to try to get it in..
 19. nice crowd, nice win...excellent entrance by the parachute guys! Go Big Red
 20. 2 early turnovers hurt, Pius has a pretty good bunch of athletes..wonder if their rec Noonan is Billy's lil brother...get him to come back to LU for some quarterbacking.......last i heard, he went somewhere in ohio and it didnt pan out..... anyways, Kelly was just outgunned in this game
 21.
It looks like Langston runs a 4-3 defense and on offense they run a one back system with the QB Chad Miller being the star that runs the show. He is very elusive and makes plays with his feet. The university is located in Langston, Okla. There are 2,750 students. They play in a NAIA conference and their nickname is the Lions. They won their league championship in 2006, 2007 and 2008, and they finished second in the conference last season.
miller? not darrion lewis?  i found stats on him, wr Mathis looks pretty good also....their website is kinda screwy...may be I'm looking at 2009?  1st team all conference rb carlos ross(transfer from alcorn)
 22.
I am going to show my age but I remember when West Tx A&M was West Texas State and part of the Missouri Valley Conference playing Div 1 sports.
aw man, thats young...I remember Lamar Tech!
 23.

well, seeing the way this thread went, I guess Langston is pretty much a mystery
They're ranked 16 in NAIA: [Hidden Content] Webber International is on the list at 24 after not being ranked the week before. Considering how close the Webber game was, but game may be tougher than some people think. I still give the edge to the Cards, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a last minute upset by the Lions.
Webber was no walk in the park....think this game can go either way.. GO BIG RED
 24. Football is great for the community and the campus.  Quite honestly, after a 21 year absence, I could care less if we play UT or the Sisters of Charity...I'm going to the games and having a good time.  And you won't see mee with a screen name like:  AggiesAreWe or UNLV nor will you see me with Texas Tech logos.  Come to think of it, I'm going to have to come up with a better screen name now. BOO-YAH!
 25. well, seeing the way this thread went, I guess Langston is pretty much a mystery
