Nederland fought hard till the very end but it looked like they just ran out of pitching... great effort on a hot day from a very good team.  These guys are a class act and are coached very well - I have a lot of respect for you.  The host parents who kept the boys had nothing but good things to say as well.  For the rest of the tournament... Brazoswood wins over Arkansas 9 - 6.  Three run homer seals the deal late in the game for B'wood.  B'wood advances to World Series in Glen Allen, Va. - Good luck boys!

The 13 year old (prep) tournament starts today...was supposed to be played at West Columbia High but had to be moved due to heavy tropical rains that the area received over the last week.  Games tonight will be at Suggs Field in Lake Jackson with Nederland playing Bay City at 4 and Brazoswood playing West Brazos at 7. Hopefully we will have good weather and be able to get these games in.  The rest of the tournament may be moved back to West Columbia if/when they get their fields dried out.
