I am glad you figured that out.
Then you do realize you are posting on the baseball thread and not jacks or marbles....lol
Yes, the only two that could go either way is WOS/Silsbee. HF is really strong. What is really scary is all their starting pitchers so far this year are not even seniors (with the excepton of wendling who has been injured). So I see them possibly finishing 1st for several years to come. These kids playing now have grown up with ford park complex in their back yard and you can see the training is really starting to pay off. That Hicks player who started at Varisity last year as a freshman is lighting it up this year. Had a walk off grand slam the other night against buna. Baseball at HF is strong.
My point is this Bridge City is always loaded.  I am very close to several of their young athletes and I know they have three (3) D1 commits for baseball already this season.  They also have several underclassmen that can and will compete.  They will be a contender for first place (barring any injuries) and I know they have one on DL right now. Silsbee is loaded with underclassmen talent, and you can ask Jannise, Burgason, Hicks for sure know what kind of talent Silsbee has.  They will compete with the best in this district for the next three years! HF does have some very good talent, I know and have been associated with the three listed above.  This team is very scrappy and will compete...... I am just not real sure of the pitching depth they have now and in the future. OF, I know several of their players and they are competitive and I believe they will develop well.  I really respect their coach and I think he will do some great things with this program. WOS, I don't know alot about their program and their new coach but I know WOS is loaded with athletes.  Just don't see them competing well this season. HJ, I know several of the young guys in this program and they are very talented.  Just have to wait and see what they really have around them. My projections: BC Silsbee HF / HJ OF WOS JMO...........

 7.
The Silsbee Tigers travel back to Vidor for a 1pm game in the Vidor Tournament. The 1:00 appointment is with the Broncos of Dayton. These two teams have played twice since 2007 with both teams winning one game. The Tigers had a successful start to the tournament yesterday beating Jasper 8-5 and Vidor 6-2. The Dayton Broncos was just as successful playing two games yesterday winning both of their games, a 2-0 shut out win over Jasper and a 13-0 shalacking of PA Memorial. I will be at this game and will be blogging every half inning, so you can catch Silsbee Tiger baseball right here.
I was at the Dayton game vs Jasper and Jasper won 10-2.

Very impressive to see a kid battle through two serious injuries at such a young age.
I'm not sure how it was in the game today but I've seen him this season and he can still bring it. Mid to upper 80's
I would agree......was probably in mid 80's today

"Thanks" Say hey, I need a little help here MrUmp1 with giving the "W" to the pitcher who earned the "W". First game of season for our High School team is in a Tourney with a no-inning started after 1:45 min of play. Game goes 6 complete innings. Our team wins 7 - 0. Our Pitcher #1 goes 3 complete innings and leaves with score 3 - 0 and is thrown out of game by HP Umpire in the 4th for arguing called third strke while he is AB. Pitcher #1 gives up: 3 H, 3 BB, 4 K, 0 ER and pitches out of 2 serious jams. Our Pitcher #2 comes in and pitches 3 complete innings. Our team scores 4 more runs for a 7-0 lead. Pitcher #2 gives up: 0 H, 1 BB, 6 K, 0 ER and throws 32 pitches in his 3 IP. Who gets the win?
Pitcher #1 get the win
That is correct. It is rule 9.6.6 in the high school rule book. Kind of confusing. ART. 6 . . . Winning and losing pitchers are determined as follows: a. If the starting pitcher has pitched the first four innings or more and his team is ahead when he is replaced and the team holds the lead for the remainder of the game, he shall be the winning pitcher. b. If a game ends for whatever reason, having gone less than seven innings, then the starting pitcher shall have pitched three or more consecutive innings to be declared the winning pitcher. If the starting pitcher cannot be declared the winning pitcher, and more than one relief pitcher is used, the winning pitcher shall be determined using the following criteria: 1. If the score is tied, it results in the game becoming a new contest so far as judging who is the winning and losing pitcher. 2. If the starting pitcher is removed before having pitched four or more innings and his team is ahead, the official scorer shall determine the winning pitcher to be the relief pitcher who has been the most effective. 3. If the opposition goes ahead, pitchers up to that time in the game cannot be credited with the win. However, if the pitcher pitching subsequently takes and maintains a lead the remainder of the game, said pitcher is credited with the win. 4. Generally the relief pitcher credited with the win is the pitcher when his team takes the lead and holds it for the rest of the game. However, if the relief pitcher pitches only a short while or not effectively and a succeeding relief pitcher replaces him and does better work in keeping the lead, the latter shall be granted the win. c. If a pitcher is removed for a pinch-hitter or a pinch-runner, the runs scored by his team during the inning of his removal are to be credited to his benefit to decide the pitcher of record. d. The starting pitcher shall be charged with the loss when he is replaced and his team is behind or falls behind because of runs assessed to him after being replaced and his team does not subsequently tie the score or take the lead. e. A pitcher cannot be given credit for pitching a shutout when he does not pitch the complete game except when he enters the game with no one out before the opponents have scored in the first inning and does not permit the opposition to score during the game. And thought something like that was simple.
11. I thought Buna only pitched the Walden kid and E. Franklin..... I don't remember there being another pitcher between them????
I am very familiar with the coaching staff at Silsbee, VERY.  I am very well aware that Coach Collins (whom I respect immensely) and Coach Brooks have been Assistant Coaches in Silsbee for quite a while. 19.
I predict Silsbee 68 Splendora 50. Tigers need to control every aspect of this game. They have slept walked thru 2 of the last 3. After round 1, I'm putting Silsbee on upset alert until the Regionals. If they don't BRING IT, could be a long bus ride home. I know Collins and Brooks would love to take a trip back to state.
BS, just so you know Brooks is not the coach...... it is Sigler
Concede, there is nothing to gain and you are still district co-champs regardless.....JMO...you don't risk an injury just for seeding in this case?
